The food was amazing! We came here before heading to the Doran beach for the day. Everything was amazing. We got pork ribs, pulled pork, two types of links and sides- Mac and cheese, collard greens, and baked beans. Plus corn bread and for dessert the banana pudding. The cons were few and even though I'd list these as a con everything was still amazing - the greens were a little salty but when I ate them with some beans or the Mac and cheese the flavor balanced out. On their own just a tiny bit too salty. The cornbread was a tad too dry. The pros were basically EVERYTHING else. And the surprise treat of banana pudding made everyone's eyes go BIG a tasting the amazing flavor and lovely consistency of the pudding. Definitely save room for dessert!!! I have to admit though - BBQ and sides are very subjective if you have a great BBQ boss/ soul food chef in your family... truly everything on our table was AMAZING. The restaurant was homey, clean and inviting with picnic tables and lots of napkins within reach. Finally got to come here after hearing all the hype about this place on social media. We got here around 1pm on a Sunday and waited about 15 minutes in line. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area with options for larger tables and parties. We got the two meat combo, with brisket and the half chicken and our side options were the cowboy caviar and mac & cheese. We wanted the baked beans but unfortunately they were already out by that point of the day. I am not a huge brisket lover because of all of the fat that's usually on it, but it did have good flavor and definitely melted in your mouth. The chicken also had good flavor but was a little dry. The cowboy caviar was such a hit and I appreciated that they added tortilla chips on the side, so you could eat it like a dip. The macaroni and cheese was also very good - it was more of a cheesy sauce. I did run into an old friend while I was there and she was raving about the place so I'm excited to try to more of their selection. read more

You'll walk away with a full stomach and some leftovers for dinner. The baked beans were the showstopper for me. Please do not pass those up whenever you come by. Service was friendly, and the food was just ok. I wanted to love this place, but I didn't. I was there in a Sunday around 1:30 pm, and they were out of everything except chicken and jalapeño cheddar sausage. The chicken had good flavor, but was a little dry. The sides were good. I had coleslaw and Mac n cheese. They gave us complimentary and totally delicious banana pudding because they were out of most of the meats, which was a nice gesture. Returned with some friends so they could experience the dream of A&M BBQ. Each time I come (it's now been 3-4x) I like to try something different. Today I ordered the Smoked Turkey Sandwich. I was a little skeptical as Turkey often times can be dry but man... this wasn't the case for A&M BBQ's Smoked Turkey Sandwich. The presentation was nice and it came with several thick pieces of sliced smoked turkey. The meat was tender and juicy and I didn't need a beverage to wash it down. The buns they use are soft and really good as well. I honestly wasn't expecting the white sauce and had my BBQ sauce ready to throw on to the sandwich but it truly didn't need it. The white sauce, (while I don't know what it was, maybe a white bbq sauce because it was on the sweeter side?) was delicious and I didn't need the traditional bbq sauce. They serve here until they run out! We went around 3 pm and there were a few things that were already sold out! Including the cornbread and potato salad! Which I wanted to try!!! We ended up getting a brisket plate with mac and cheese and yams. We also got the pulled pork sandwhich. The brisket was a 10/10 the brisket literally falls off as you eat it!!! The Mac and cheese was also good! The yams are on the sweeter side! Service was good. You walk up and basically pick your order from their menu. Then pay for it after. Seating is limited outside but they do have a lot of indoor seating. It is a bit on the pricier side, I think we paid over $50 for both of our plates. Brisket sandwich on a martins bun, good toppings, all around an awesome sandwich. Cornbread had good flavor, good strong corn taste, a bit of a heavier / more dense style, but overall quite good. Awesome honey butter on the side. Mac and cheese was good but definitely a heavier style, very creamy, dense, mixed well with some brisket. Banana pudding was top tier. Portions are very generous for the price. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Staff were friendly. Parking on the street nearby was easy and they also have some spots in front. This was during the week so on the weekend I imagine it could be different. They also have smoked oxtails which I don't remember having before so will need to try that next time. The cowboy caviar was my wife's favorite, while the brisket was the highlight for me. They even made sure to have a salad available for our vegetarian guests, which we really appreciated. I've had many, many, many, many burgers in my time and this may possibly be the best burger I've ever had. It's so innovative and well done that it's a perfect burger. Is it the classic American cheese burger? No, it's not but if you want that there are many places to go for that but if you are looking for the next level with the Gouda cheese and pickles topping this burger it's hard not to love it all.
