SEP2025 Ordered some hawaiian for delivery. Food was quick to make it to our door. For this we had gotten the chicken katsu, mac salad, and bbq chicken with fried egg saimin. Solid for what we ordered. Mac salad was on point. the portions were nice across the board. For the bbq chicken with saimin, the broth had a nice savory taste. I'd say it would've been nice for more noodles to balance things out. Or even getting more on the side if the size of the bowl was the issue. We definitely liked the chicken katsu. Great crunch retention despite delivery and the amount of meat was great overall. Definitely worthwhile since it's just a comfort some days, so we have a good option to return to. read more

This spot just opened in the Stony Point plaza and I had to try it out! Service for takeout is quick and efficient, the portion sizes are fair and always leave me full! The Chicken Curry Katsu comes with large meaty pieces of chicken thigh battered and fried to perfection and the curry sauce is aromatic, savory and perfect consitency! After a long day, we decided to invite the kids over and order the Luau Family Meal (serves 4) . It comes with choice of 3 main items plus 8 scoops of rice and 4 scoops of mac salad. For our protein we decided on: Curry chicken katsu BBQ beef BBQ chicken The server at the counter was thoughtful and brought our food to us when it was ready. The bag sure was heavy! When we got home we served our dinner with a big salad, (hoping to feel a little less guilty for eating so many carbs). The food and service were no different than our first visit. The people here are so friendly, sweet, and helpful. It was dinner hour so there were some families dining inside plus others waiting to order behind us. Glad to see they are doing good business. I've been trying different Hawaiian food spots for the past few months to find the absolute best. I saw this place had some good reviews so k decided to try it since I was in the area. I got the combo plate with Kalua pork and chicken katsu, plus a side of three fried shrimp. I'll start with the cons; the kalua pork was dry, making it hard to eat. The three shrimp looked big but unfortunately the batter to shrimp ratio was way off. Everything else was great. The service was pleasant and quick. The chicken katsu was crispy and flavorful. The lady who handled our order at the counter was friendly, smiley, & helpful. We ordered two 2-Item Combo Plates--one with BBQ Chicken & BBQ Beef, the other with Volcano Chicken Katsu & BBQ Beef. Everything was delicious! The meats were flavorful, juicy, & tender. The Katsu had good texture with a sweet, spicy sauce. We were offered additional sauces too. Affordable and tasty Hawaiian BBQ. We ordered food to go and it took about 10-15minutes for our food to be ready. I ordered the BBQ mix plate which comes with grilled chicken, grilled beef, and short ribs. My bf got the Mochiko Chicken. Both plates were delicious and the meats were seasoned well. The BBQ mix plate was $14.99 and the Mochiko Chicken plate was $13.95. Each plate comes with 2 scoops of white rice and 1 scoop of macaroni salad. We opted to swap the 2 scoops of white rice for macaroni salad which only cost 70 cents to do so. We will be coming back to try their other dishes such as the spam musubis and loco moco. read more

I had only ever tried this type of food at te Hawaii bbq location on Santa Rosa Avenue (located by Trader Joe's), but this place is much closer to my parents house, therefore, it's definitely more convenient. The option sizes are quite huge and i can make 2-3 meals out of one combo order. I have gotten the chicken, ribs and beef and none of the meats disappoint. So much flavor in each bite! For $14, it definitely is a bargain (especially with the absurd price fast food costs now a days). The staff is super helpful and so nice. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Food here is spectacular, I don't have pictures because I always devour it, (quite literally). Prices are reasonable my go to is the beef bbq bowl, it comes with white rice, macaroni salad and the beef bbq. The service is good the workers are friendly and are honest with what is their favorite dish. It has a mellow vibe to eating here and they have outside picnic tables where you can eat. My first time walking into luau, I immediately felt uncomfortable the moment I got to the cash register, not from the two workers at the cash register who welcomed me in. The old lady worker made me uncomfortable she stares with a mean face giving me a look like I'm taking forever to order my food. We were so excited to see a Hawaiian BBQ place closer to us. We ordered the Spam Musubi and a mixed plate (as well as a an extra scoop of Mac salad). Outside appearance was clean. And inside was just as nice. Everything was flavorful and cooked well. The spam could have used a little more color and crisp but that's only my personal preference. Love that there's another Hawaiian bbq spot in town as I have been going to Ohana for decades. I would say the similarities are there between the two from the bbq combo plates to the taste. It was clean there was Hawaiian music playing so I ordered my go to meal at any Hawaiian Restaurant the chicken katsu with a 2pc spam Musubi. Prices were comparable to Ohana and the place in Coddingtown. It had your standard sides 2 scoops of rice and Mac salad they didn't have a soda machine you either had your pick of soda or the Hawaiian drinks I picked Dr. Pepper. The food was good along with the Spam Musubi. The counter person was friendly it must've need there grand opening week. And yes I would go there again . read more

My husband and I ordered the combo plate, and we picked BBQ Beef and Chicken Katsu w/ Volcano Sauce! Very generous portions. Both of us were full from the 2-choice combo plate. Excellent service. Extra sauce isn't charged -- they even offered it at the register! The staff working the counter brought our order to us, and asked us if we needed anything else afterwards. Very sweet. Can't go wrong with chicken katsu -- tender with very crispy bread crumbing. The sauce gives some relief from the especial crispness on some bites. Super yummy. The volcano sauce was very strong -- almost like an acidic sweet n' sour sauce. I'm glad I had it on the side as I think it would have overpowered the chicken by itself. The sauce also helped with the BBQ Beef, which was pretty standard as far as beef goes: a bit dry, not much notable flavor, but it works. Recommend ordering another type of meat instead of BBQ Beef.
