Very quick service! Sushi is excellent! Spider roll on point! Very clean quiet place and very well air conditioned! Take a pit stop here for lunch! Worth it

What a gem of a Japanese restaurant this place is! Definitely some of the best sushi I've had. The fish was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Every roll we tried was excellent, and the sashimi melted in my mouth. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet elevated. You can really tell they care about quality here. Portions are large, so you won't leave hungry.

Best sushi spot in SR, if you ask me. The fish is always fresh, well prepared, and presentation is top notch. Very fair price as well. My kind of spot.

We stopped in here recently because we were in the area, and another sushi place we go to was too busy. We were so glad we did! the service was on point from the we walked through the door. Our server, Yue, was amazing! she gave us her tips, and helps us curate an absolutely delightful tour of the menu. We started with oysters that were supremely fresh and perfectly shucked - they were also topped with tobiko which was amazing! we followed that up with hamachi, tatake (which was amazing aged toro which was absolutely spectacular!). we also had a delicious hamachi kama! they make their oak soy sauce- and it is delicious - soft and slightly sweet. I could go on, but it odd probably best to just leave it at : Go try Shiki - it may be the best sushi in Santa Rosa!

    Tuna and Salmon Nigiri

First off, they source high quality fish and it shows. The Tuna and Salmon nigiri were 5/5. The salmon was rich and buttery and melts in your mouth. Smooth and tender not mushy or chewy. They tuna was fresh and not fishy. And the sushi rice was done well. We had a server who was passionate about the food and explained their chef takes pride in his work and is picky about fish quality he accepts. The salmon is Scottish salmon known for its balanced flavor and reliable texture. They would love to provide New Zealand Ora King Salmon, but it would be too pricey. Love that they are open to sharing where they source their fish. I like the updated decor much brighter than before. I also tried their saba and Tekka Maki which I would rate 4/5. Overall 4.5/5 rounding up because of service. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

Wow! This is such a good sushi place; and they even make their own soy sauce! The Salmon Sicilian app was luscious. The Toro delight was such a wonderful combination of flavors and the Lion Queen roll was simply decadent. I cannot wait to go back!

We came here during lunch and ordered the 3-item bento box with salmon teriyaki, saba, and tempura. My husband got the lunch saba shioyaki. Both dishes were delicious and served in generous portions. We also ordered the calamari as an appetizer. It was okay -- not the best we've had -- but the dipping sauce was really good and made up for it. The miso soup was delicious. The only issue we had was with the pricing. The menu listed the saba lunch special at around $16 and dinner at $20, but we were charged the dinner price. When we brought it up, the staff explained that the menu was from the previous restaurant and hasn't been updated, and that there's no distinction between lunch and dinner portions anymore. In our opinion, that's not fair to the customer -- if the menu is outdated, that should be communicated up front to avoid confusion. Updating the menu should be a priority when taking over a restaurant, especially when pricing changes. So just a heads up: double-check prices when ordering, as the menu might not reflect the current ones. Other than that, the food and overall experience were great!

So Sonoma County in terms of how some great eats are occasionally found in nondescript strip malls. Don't let the appearance of the surrounding bus stop and big box retailers fool you. This place is legit. We had to eat and run because we were going to see the Sonoma Symphony perform (follow me for my review on that), but they delivered a great japanese style meal quickly, at the right temperature, and with great flavor and presentation. The miso soup was pure Umami and my Teriyaki Salmon bento box was both generous and delicious. And reasonably priced at $17. My date found her Unagi to be nice and tender. The bathrooms are clean and the service was good.

This is my new favorite spot in Santa Rosa for sushi. I'm a big fan of presentation and this place has it down . Every bite was flavorful and delicious. The staff were prompt with anything we needed and asked for . We will definitely be coming back .

Was in Santa Rosa for a comedy show and saw the good reviews! They did not disappoint. Fantastic service, so friendly and attentive- the food was delicious and fresh. If I didn't live 1 1/2 hours away, I would be a regular.

Sushi is my favorite meal, Hand down this is the best sushi I've ever had. It's dynamic, with infusion, and tons of flavors. Super fresh fish. The Jalepeno Sashimi was also extraordinary. Good atmosphere, excellent customer service.

After taking a little break, I swung by this hidden gem tucked away behind Chase Bank on Range Ave in Santa Rosa, CA. First impressions matter, and I was greeted by a friendly cashier who made the experience even better. The place had a clean vibe, though I did find the bathroom out of order, which was a bit of a bummer. Now, onto the food! I decided to sample their Teriyaki Bowl and a side of Coconut Shrimp. Let's just say the Coconut Shrimp didn't quite hit the mark. With a bland taste and no hint of coconut milk marinade, it fell short for me--definitely not a dish I'd rave about. Honestly, I think Costco does it better. Yikes! But then came the Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl, and wow! This bowl was generously packed with chicken and had a delightful ginger flavor woven through the rice, which was a pleasant surprise for me as a ginger lover. However, I must admit, the chicken itself could use a little more punch in the teriyaki flavor department. While it was cooked nicely, I was hoping for that rich, savory taste to really shine through. All in all, I shelled out about $25 for my meal, which felt a bit on the pricey side, but wasn't terrible given the portion sizes. In summary, BOWL & ROLL makes for a solid option if you're looking for a quick bite. I'd definitely consider returning, especially to try their sushi rolls next time! Thanks, Bowl and Roll, for being a quick stop for those craving Korean BBQ in Sonoma County!

There's a variety of apps but I wasn't too hungry so I ordered mini sesame balls for the table ( 3 for $1!!!) and octopus ball/sesame balls to go. At the end, I also got the homemade sauce just to try bc it was packed in a glass mason jar and relatively affordable. For food, I got tonkotsu ramen and the broth was good. I think it was missing the condiments and some umami flavoring. I'm not sure. It was 3.5 imo. The sesame balls were good and so was the octopus ball. The salmon looked plentiful and came with lots of sides but I'm not sure how it tasted bc I didn't order. All the dishes were cleared out though so I'd say it was a successful lunch trip. They have a long fish display in the front and plenty of seating too! Reminds me to go back to Japan soooon.

I was also thrown off by the macaroni salad. It also had no flavor. I really enjoyed the bean sprouts and wanted to get another serving but was told it was a sample serving and that they don't do more than that. I could pay two dollars m Overall, I think my biggest issue was that a lot of the food was much sweeter than I expected. I was especially surprised by the grilled shrimp because I never imagined it would taste that sweet. I'm not going to lie, I still ate everything because I paid for it and didn't want to waste the food. The highlight of the meal was the Love Boat sushi roll that they light on fire. Visually, it was really impressive and made for a fun presentation. Taste wise, though, it was just an average sushi roll. I couldn't tell that the fire added anything to the flavor. I didn't notice any smokiness or anything that elevated the dish, and I honestly think it would have tasted the same without the fire. For what I paid, I don't think the meal was worth it, so I probably wouldn't come back just for myself. That said, I can see why other people might enjoy it. I did really like the jalapeño on the sushi roll because it added a nice kick, so I would order that again. This is also one of the few times I've had Thai iced tea that was simply too sweet for my taste.
