I realize I have not been to Jackson's in quite some time and after a little hike, ww were ready for a cocktail and a bite. The ambience is super nice with tasteful decor and a good vibe. Both the server and the hostess were incredibly friendly and efficient. My friend and I both enjoyed a fabulous cocktail that was super refreshing. The beet citrus salad was spot on. I don't think I've ever had one quite so good. The downfall was the gluten-free pizza unfortunately. The crust just wasn't very good. It's unfortunate that places charge extra to have a gluten-free crust. I'd come back for the beet salad and cocktail anytime, but I'll pass on the pizza.

Met up with dear friends Joe and Roanna. We were seated upstairs which was nice cause I could hear across the table. I ordered the New York steak, medium rare, Roanna and Katie had steak sandwiches, Joe enjoyed a margherita pizza. Everyone enjoyed their selections. Food was properly cooked and artfully plated. Joe selected a wonderful red wine - Carlisle Zinfandel - that paired very nicely with my steak. We delighted in the JACKSON'S BEIGNETS for dessert. I had a beautifully crafted cappuccino.

Went for a work lunch . Very pricey but food was good . Had the French dip which was delicious but it was $26. Service and staff were friendly. Restaurant clean and busy for being mid day on a Thursday . Great place for a special occasion meal or if you got it like that the go for it .

Great go-to spot for a mid day bite/drink. The quality of food and drinks are consistent that it keeps me coming back for more! Favorites are Espresso Martini or Spicy Marg + Burrata. Bar seats are the best (IMO) but don't be surprised when you can't find a seat, cause it is a happening place to be. Not a sports bar but you'll have a good time.

It was a dark rainy Sunday....we were able to get a table right away. We even got a parking spot not too far. The server was friendly, patient and helpful. The inside was comfortable and not too loud. We ordered cocktails, mussels, and the brick chicken w/ orecchiette. The cocktail went down easily. The mussels were perfectly cooked, and their chorizo sausage was meaty and flavorful. The thin sliced fennel added a nice depth to the sauce. They grill their bread so it was a perfect way to soak it up. I was really looking forward to the orecchiette, but it was my least favorite of the three items. It wasn't bad, but a $38 chicken pasta should be much more than we received. The chicken was not juicy, but the skin was crispy. The orecchiette with garlic cream sauce was less than amazing.

We decided to give Jackson's another try before heading back home from our vacation. Their garlic skillet bread was an absolute favorite so this time around we ordered 2 plates of it. It's amazing! We also ordered their chicken wings and truffle fries. The fries come with ketchup and a lemon aioli (which was really good). Their wings come with zesty buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing. This blue cheese was unlike others that I've tried before. It had almost a smokey flavor to it, but it was delicious nonetheless. We had an absolute blast. We loved the playlist that they were playing also! Our waitress was very nice as well. I ordered a virgin margarita and didn't like it so she took it off the bill, saying that she's never make someone pay for something that they didn't like.

First off the food here is very well prepared and tasty. Proper seasoning with a creative take yet sticking to the basics. The fried items are crisp. The steak juicy and flavorful. All the aromas are lovely as well. These elements might be basic but so many restaurants fail at them. Jackson's deserves all the kudos. The drink program is quite good as well. Let's talk about the service. Top notch! Service you would experience at a Michelin Star Restaurant. Fabulous. The little things like wiping the table between courses. Super attentive and caring. All stars! I highly recommend this spot. If you are staying near downtown Santa Rosa it's a short walk from pretty much anywhere within the city. Looking forward to our next visit.

Mussels were a treat. Watch the closed ones though - we got at least 6 questionable ones.

Great spot for happy hour, dinner, or after dinner. Great staff, and a chill bar scene. Not fine dining, but good enough for a weekday Wood fired pizza is good, but they have some hefty other plates. Try the mussels, desserts, and dont forget the wings - they have a great take on this classic dish!

I've dined at Jackson's twice now, one in the restaurant and once as takeout. The burrata appetizer will have you dreaming about it for weeks - it is life changing! Creamy burrata cheese drizzled with honey, covered in salty pistachios, enjoyed on perfectly salted pizza bread. Epic! The skillet prawns are perfectly done and just the right amount of food. I enjoyed both of these dishes on both visits - maybe some day I will venture into other choices but why mess with perfection!?

Jackson's is a must for a nice date with your beloved or a get together with friends for happy hour. The restaurant has comfortable seating at the bar or tables. The drink menu has plenty of options to choose from. I recently tried the seasonal Moscow Mule and it was exquisite! The burrata appetizer is melt in your mouth delicious with a savory and sweet touch. The wood fire pizza was very flavorful and fresh. Service staff were attentive, greeted us right when we arrived, and checked in with us often to ensure everything was as expected. Overall a pleasant experience and would recommend to others.

Great experience today. The team was so amazing and personable and this only addd to the solid culinary experience. Listen, the food would have been a 4 but experience is everything, thus the 5 stars. We came for a late lunch and were interested in so many things: the Mussels, wood fired greens, wood fired prawns, chicken Marsala and the Mac and cheese. So of course, we got them all. We were STUFFED by the end. Excellent meal. The winners by far were the wood fired greens and mussels.

My mom & I were exploring the old railroad square and stumbled upon this place doing so. I'm so happy we did! We came on a week day late afternoon/ early evening and there were some people, but not too crowded. We sat at the bar and had a drink & ordered a pizza. The bar tender was super nice & attentive. I got the Painted Lady drink which was good, not too sweet or strong. The wood fired pizza is amazing. I got the house made sausage one and it was incredible. The crust and toppings were just perfect! I would definitely come back here again when in the area!

What's the latest you can walk in and place an order?

Are there gluten-free options besides pizza?

I'm sure any of the salads are or can easily be made gluten-free, and at least the burgers could be served in lettuce wraps. Especially if you ask nicely before or at the start of your visit, and tip graciously when your requests are fulfilled. 😇😉

Our server was incredibly friendly, and the entire room shared the same warm, easygoing vibe. The small, speakeasy themed space was already packed at 5 PM, so reservations seem like a must. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious, but the standout dishes were the beet salad and the shrimp & grits. The beet salad had a perfect mix of textures; chopped pistachios, tender beets, and crunchy radishes over a pillowy ricotta. I finished the salad wishing there was more. The shrimp & grits featured a potlikker sauce that absolutely lived up to the hype; it made the dish. I wish the shrimp & grits were served in a bowl rather than a shallow dish. I found myself chasing the sauce and polenta around the plate, trying not to push it over the edge. That said, if it were in a bowl, I might have just drank the sauce, so perhaps this is the restaurant's way of preserving a bit of dignity for its guests. Next time, I'm hoping to visit when oyster po' boys and fried green tomatoes are on the menu.

We didn't have a reservation, but lucked out with seats at the community table. Bonus: the other guests were super welcoming, which just added to the fun, communal feel. We hit happy hour, and wow--it's a good one. Tons of interesting bites and a solid drink lineup. I went with a whiskey sour, my friend had the ginger beer on draft (very refreshing), and we shared the prawns, Brussels sprouts, and creamy mac & cheese. Everything was seriously delicious. Shoutout to our server, Melanie--friendly, attentive, and totally on it, even with the place packed. A couple things to note: it does get loud, so maybe not your spot if you're after a quiet, intimate dinner. Also, the happy hour menu listed Brussels sprouts but didn't mention bacon--I'm vegetarian, so that was a bit of a surprise. (It is noted on the regular dinner menu, which I admittedly didn't check.) All in all, such a fun, lively spot. I'll definitely be back for more bites and cocktails.

There's almost zero damping and no acoustic management whatsoever. It has the appearance of an attractive venue without the functional reality. It was incredibly painful with the voices of all the talking along with the music ringing in our ears. The conversations of people were amplified by the design of the facility to the point where they were competing with the fully amplified '90s band that I heard called joose. In addition, they appear to have no comprehension about how to actually create an appropriate acoustic management system. There are no damping systems, no soft surfaces, it's like they didn't even ask anybody who knows anything about anything about how to do acoustic design. It's entirely appearance based. We will never return here again for anything other than a cocktail or maybe a karaoke event. It was a waste of $20. Per person. We effectively paid $40 for a couple to be acoustically tortured for 2 hours. We kept hoping it would get better but it didn't I thought maybe once more people came in they might help but it didn't help they just got louder. I can't believe that nobody else has complained about this before.
