As my most frequented spot in Healdsburg, Little Saint never disappoints. As a non-vegan I've enjoyed many of their menu items from the falafel platter to their seasonal beet salad. Most recently I've been indulging in their trumpet mushroom pozole, great flavor. Not only is their food delightful but their bar is great. A great selection of classic and experimental cocktails made by some pretty wonderful bartenders. I've just tried one of their newest additions, The Consolation of Apricots, and I must say it is such a nice balance of sweet and citrus. The apricot flavor shines, but it doesn't lack the booziness that other sweet cocktails do. It is incredibly refreshing and the perfect way to start the night! In all, the staff is wonderful, the atmosphere is lovely, and I would be kidding myself if I didn't say this is my favorite spot in Healdsburg. Food- who knew vegan could be so great . This place offers farm to table. They grow their own veggies . Organic and fresh you could taste the quality. I usually don't eat many veggies esp. raw veggies but their fresh unique cucumbers and other veggies dipped in their 3 tasty dips , it was actually my favorite . Carrot dip had a nice bbq mesquite flavor, the hummus nice neutral balanced flavor and the beet sweet &tangy all I absolutely wonderful and I normally don't eat veggies. The breakfast tofu scrambled, mushroom and the tacos were fantastic. The hoagie the bread was soft fresh and for a vegan sandwich I had no idea and it tasted great. For the French toast and the pancakes , what can I say, breakfast couldn't be any sweeter. Yummy. Service- to our server Saul- great guy, gave us a great info about the fresh food from their garden, very attentive , friendly, excellent service . To all the other servers and staff , all hardworking and very nice and hospitable. They made the visit a great experience. It's hard to find vegan places and fresh organic food farm to table. This is a new favorite, I didn't even leave my table and ordered so much in one sitting and can't believe I ate it all. I also had the chai and coffee latte and the oh so wonderful almond toast with the blueberry inside , absolutely Devine! Can't wait to go again just have to drive a bit to get there. My only negative, because they have a brick oven it's hard not to burn the fries , and the pickles in the lil saints burger , I didn't really like the smell it was a bit off putting , like a fermented meat but just didn't sit well with me. Fun vegan concept to visit if you are in Healdsburg. Don't missed the smoked carrot spread - it's super creamy, I don't know how they do it. (If you're not hungry, you can get it from the refrigerated section to-go.) The bibimbap bowl was surprisingly filling and I liked most of the elements (mushrooms were a bit too sweet for me but nice and juicy, the charred bok choy was excellent). It's one of those meals where you feel good about yourself after eating it. The rye brownie my friend was obsessed with, she loved how light it was while still delivering the satisfaction of a brownie. Super cute space! Everything is vegan. The kale Caesar salad is large enough to be its own main. That was our favorite dish by far. We also shared the beet hummus dip, lasagna, and burger. We ate here twice in one day...it's THAT good! On a recent family getaway to Healdsburg, we decided to check out Little Saint as we've heard good things about their food and ambiance. We had brunch, and then later the same day came back for dinner. I actually think we preferred the brunch vs dinner, but both meals were fantastic. As were the items we got from the grab and go, as was the wine we bought from their wide array of wines to choose from! Also, the decor is so creative and eclectic, while warm and inviting. The owner or manager also chatted with me while I perused the grab and go items, and he was very passionate about locally sourced, good for you vegan food. Late post for Earth Day week! Plant based counts, right? The girl group came to check this place out and although they had been before I had not. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but once you walk in it transforms you into what feels like a wine bar on one side, cafe on the other, and cozy restaurant in the middle, couches and all!! They have two different falafel options. I went with the bowl. It was very good. Next time I will choose the pita sandwhich one though. Burgers were very good, latte was good, dessert was very good! Little Saint offers one of the best vegan dining experiences I've had in California. The ambiance is truly amazing, with beautiful, intentional décor that makes the space feel special and elevated from the moment you walk in. The food really shines. The lasagna is hands-down my favorite item on the menu, followed closely by the menudo, and the pecan pie is absolutely phenomenal. I used to love the chicken and waffles, though it seems the recipe has changed--while it's still good, it's not quite as magical as it once was. A couple of years ago, I had a seasonal tomato salad that I still dream about to this day. The menu rotates, so I've never seen it return, but it clearly left an impression. If you're stopping in before 3 p.m. to visit the café, the golden milk is excellent, and nearly every puff pastry in the glass case is worth trying. As much as I adore this place, I do wish the prices were more affordable--especially since the food isn't explicitly organic, which makes the cost feel a bit harder to justify. I also wish the upstairs area weren't limited to VIP pricing, as it would be wonderful for all guests to enjoy the full space. Lastly, every time I've sat at the bar to eat, my service has been less deliberate and much slower. I recommend sitting at a proper table to get the full dining experience as the service has typically been really great when I was seated at a table. Overall, this is an impressive and memorable vegan restaurant that I'd happily recommend, especially as a follow-up stop after visiting the local farmers market held on weekends in the parking lot across the way. read more

As vegetarian for the last 15 years, I am delighted to go somewhere that I can eat everything on the menu. The atmosphere, is good energy, It's open and beautifully decorated. A big plus is that they have live acoustic music upstairs. I've tried quite a few dishes and always eat everything bite. This is what every plant based restaurant should aspire to. The food is incredibly delicious. Every bite is full of layers of flavor. Hands down the best plant based restaurant I've dined at. Sadly this is what I will base all future plant based restaurants against, and I'm fairly sure nothing will come close. Several years of dining at plant based restaurants and I'm always glad to eat healthy but I typically go home thinking about what I would have done differently, what flavors left me disappointed. Not today!! The bibim noodle bowl was an absolute hit. Every single bite was a flavor explosion. My only regret is I live too far away to make this place a weekly dining experience. I used to live in Memphis and we drove up from Los Gatos to see awesome & fun Memphis based artist Amy LaVere play a free show in the lounge upstairs. The show was super fun (shes very entertaining to see live) & we had a great evening. We had beer & wine plus we got the black bean burger and it's really good. I will be coming back every time I'm in Healdsburg. I love a prix-fixed menu and have never had a plant based one before. The spinach lasagna was delightful and so full of flavor, definitely dip the focaccia bread in the spinach salsa! The interior and exterior of the establishment is beautiful, warm cozy and bright. It's not often I can go to a restaurant and get almost everything on the menu. I can hear though!!! Even though there are things with gluten on the menu many of the items can be adjusted to be gluten free if needed. I opted for the sopes (2 to an order). They were yummy! Anchote mushrooms, beans, and pickled goodness. Very flavorful, the sopes were not too crispy so they had good texture overall. Soft, yet not so soft they fell apart by the time they were consumed. I also ordered the lions mane entree with a sweet gochujang sauce over rice. It was good! The sauce does have gluten but I still ordered it. It was delicious, lightly crispy but tender to the bite, succulent almost in texture. They were really prepared well, I know lions mane can be tricky. I loved that they had some yummy non-alcoholic cocktails and even some wines to choose from. It's always nice to find such an inclusive menu overall. The restaurant is a vibe that is fabulous and I love it. Makes me want to hunker down and relax for a while. They serve happy hour even on the weekends. I love how they create such beautiful flavors in a vegan environment with delicious bites. I had plenty of service touches during my meal; I never felt neglected which is always nice. There was always someone to clear a plate, make sure I didn't need anything else, checking on how everything tasted, not just my server. Pricey but good vegan food. We came here on a Wednesday, which has all day happy hour. The HH bites were delicious, and we were especially impressed by the homemade chips and dip and the beautiful vegetable plate. We also got a pavlova dessert, which was good, but small and not that impressive for the $18 price! For mains, we shared the lasagna and the fried lions mane. The lions mane mushrooms were incredible, would absolutely order again. The lasagna, however, was just okay and came out very cold, not even room temperature. We cut it up to share, but after we found it was cold inside, we asked them to warm it up. They did warm the part that was still on the serving plate, but didn't reheat the portions on our share plates, or replace it all together which I would have expected. I expected more from a small, $30 piece of lasagna, both in flavor and in the handling of the temperature issues, since about 1/3 of it went to waste when we had to eat it cold. I would come back here, but stick to ordering more HH bites and just the lions mane from the dinner menu. read more

I never write bad Yelp reviews, but felt compelled to this time. Our mistake: getting takeout, so we could eat down by the river and get back on the road before Memorial Day traffic got bad. Their mistakes: food was super bland and charmless. Portions were insulting for the price. A tiny cup of pozole for $16. A single piece of French toast without any of the promised toppings. Shortbread (that I didn't realize was GF, again my bad) could have choked a horse it was so dry and tasteless. To cap it off, my husband pulled a little metal wire out of his mouth while eating the pozole (see photo). $100 to feed three very disappointed people. read more

This place is absolutely incredible, you have to grab lunch here. First of all, its aesthetic is A+. I would dream to recreate this in my own home, heck, I wish we had this restaurant in my city. There is incredible and delicious vegan food here. There is a market section as well as a full service section. It kind of feels like a market mixed with a restaurant. It also looks like host a lot of charming local events here. This spot is wonderful for small or big groups. My favorite part of when we visited was all the beautiful bouquets. My fiance and I shared the breakfast sandwich and tofu tacos. Writing about these dishes makes me drool. They were beyond delicious and made really well. I also grabbed a Ruby from the fridge near our table as a drink. Our server was so sweet and attentive. I absolutely loved all the natural lighting that spilled into this place. Being vegan, of course I have eaten at Little Saint, but this was my first time venturing upstairs to The Second Story. Such a beautiful venue on a sunny autumn afternoon. We came to hear Ben Venom, their Artist in Residence speak about his work as a textile artist. The seating is spacious and comfortable, a mixture of couches, high and low tables. Easy to order drinks from an adjacent bar that has its own seating. I haven't seen any of the Thursday night concerts yet, but it's on my list now because the space is just that much of a WOW factor. read more

SCW and I stopped into Little Saint after a wine tasting. Looking through Yelp we found that Little Saint is all plant based so we decided to try it out. It's located in Healdsburg with a public parking lot nearby. Being located in charming downtown Healdsburg makes it super nice to visit while exploring the town. Find the host stand and we were pretty much given the choice of where to sit. We chose a cozy spot on a beautiful antique sofa with a nice little table. I must say that they've done an incredible job with the decor. Beautiful and well integrated pieces make the space welcoming and interesting. You also have the choice to eat outside by the creek or out front. I didn't realize that they only had brunch while we were there but certainly made it work. SCW got some Chardonnay and grilled cheese. I got Sauvignon Blanc from Russian river valley and cream of mushroom soup and the breakfast tacos. The mushroom soup was amazing. Rich, creamy flavor without being salty. The crispy onions on top were a great compliment. The grilled cheese was delicious, crispy bread, melty cheese, very good. The breakfast tacos were delicious. The tofu was seasoned well with potatoes and red cabbage with a creama sauce and a green sauce on the side. You also get two squeeze bottles of red and green hot sauce which I tried but lacked the additional heat I wanted. The service was great, not rushing but attentive. To fall in love with a music venue is common, but an all encompassing event space with restaurant, coffee bar, grab & go, cocktails/wine/beer, local art, dessert, and more..I was definitely in heaven. Little Saint in Healdsburg checks all the boxes. The "come for the show, stay for a bite" mantra is a great one because this spot delivers that and then some. The space is so beautiful, open kitchen concept in center, and along the peripheral offering all the things above. When listed out it sounds like it could get confusing, but the way they've carefully placed each space within the space is thoughtfully done and executed. And did I mention everything served is plant-based? An extra layer to bring to the table. If coming from the East Bay, Little Saint was well worth the drive. There was an artist we really wanted to see and arrived a bit early to the area. Such cute spots and of course eateries/tasting rooms/shops in the event you're in the mood for meat and cheese elsewhere. After we indulged at a few outside places, we received our wristbands for the show and grabbed beautiful cocktails from the bar, purchased an art piece from a local artist (you Venmo the artist), and were front row for the show when the time came. The venue space is gorgeous upstairs. Acoustics were spot on, space was not stuffy, great drink menu as well. Post show we grabbed a few scoops of plant-based ice cream downstairs.
