It's Treat O'Clock in the North Bay and I had to treat my tired self to some takeout dinner this week. Wanted to try something veggie-forward and something new-to-me. I ordered the Pad Khing Sod: ginger sauteed veggies with tofu. It was ready in less than 30 minutes and carried well as takeout. I enjoyed the mix of veggies and the light and fresh ginger sauce. Very tasty! I'll definitely order this dish again. Thanks Thai Orchid Team!

Restaurant opened at 11am and we ordered pumpkin curry with chicken, pad see ew with beef, and the tamarind trout. All were excellent!! The chicken was perfectly cooked and the pumpkin curry was yummy. The pad see ew noodles were cooked so well it was hard to stop eating them. My favorite was the tamarind trout. It was delicious and crisp and the sauce was sweet and tangy. The place is cozy with only 6 tables and Toom our host and server was nice, kind, and a delight. We'd definitely come back next time we're around the area.

I've been dying to go back ever since I came here for the first time. I came here for lunch with my boyfriend, so we didn't have a whole lot of time. I ordered the Tom Kha soup as well as some noodle dish I had seen posted by someone else. The lady got confused and only brought me the soup, and I was so sad because the soup was so delicious I knew the noodles had to be good as well. My boyfriend got the pad see ew, and it was also very good. Having lived in LA for the past 8-9 years, there are a TON of Thai restaurants, and I can honestly say the Tom Kha soup here was one of the best I've ever tried. I cannot wait to go back and try other things. The decor is very nice, the space is super small but it feels very intimate and special. I liked it a lot. Definitely highly recommend.

I absolutely loved this Thai restaurant that I went to last night for the first time! The food was very flavorful and delicious! Loved the ambiance and the service was great! We shared spring rolls and I had thePra Ram Tofu, which is a peanut sauce over tofu with a mixture of steam veggies. My husband got a dish with chicken and noodles and absolutely loved what he got as well. The portions are generous so I took some to go since I couldn't finish it all. This is an amazing restaurant and I personally loved that there are so many vegetartian options on the menu. We will definitely be coming back to try out more of their amazing dishes!

Small place but tastes great!! Yum Koong is really authentic, shrimps are fresh and perfect cooked. Dressing is refreshing and comes with a hint of toasted coconut that makes aromatic flavors. Fried rice and Pad prik khing were good too and the service was excellent.

I came early, a bit too early in fact! I didn't see they weren't open for dinner yet! But the owner is incredibly sweet! They let me in order my food to go! I can't express nearly how sweet and kind the people here are and how the food is very authentic! The owner is from Thailand and the food reflects this! I would come if you are in the mood for a nice quiet amazing dinner with some sweet people. I would really love this place to get busier and for more people to come! But please don't take my word for it come and try the best Thai food in Sonoma!

Pad See Ew with shrimp.

I was glamping in the area and decided to order take out. I ordered the Pad See Ew with shrimp, chicken satay, cucumber salad and a Thai iced tea. It told me 30 mins for pick up. When I arrived, there were 2 sets of customers waiting. They were slammed and behind. I was told my order would not be ready. Waited an additional 15 mins. I went back to my car and the lady called me once my order was ready. I specifically asked for utensils in the order but was not provided any. The food was delicious! Fresh tasting, good portions. I enjoyed it all by the camp fire. I would not hesitate to come back.

Delicious and fresh tasting flavors! They had gluten free options as well as the menu stating they could make many dishes gluten free.

The ambiance…read moreis truly amazing, with beautiful, intentional décor that makes the space feel special and elevated from the moment you walk in. The food really shines. The lasagna is hands-down my favorite item on the menu, followed closely by the menudo, and the pecan pie is absolutely phenomenal. I used to love the chicken and waffles, though it seems the recipe has changed--while it's still good, it's not quite as magical as it once was. A couple of years ago, I had a seasonal tomato salad that I still dream about to this day. The menu rotates, so I've never seen it return, but it clearly left an impression. If you're stopping in before 3 p.m. to visit the café, the golden milk is excellent, and nearly every puff pastry in the glass case is worth trying. As much as I adore this place, I do wish the prices were more affordable--especially since the food isn't explicitly organic, which makes the cost feel a bit harder to justify. I also wish the upstairs area weren't limited to VIP pricing, as it would be wonderful for all guests to enjoy the full space. Lastly, every time I've sat at the bar to eat, my service has been less deliberate and much slower. I recommend sitting at a proper table to get the full dining experience as the service has typically been really great when I was seated at a table. Overall, this is an impressive and memorable vegan restaurant that I'd happily recommend, especially as a follow-up stop after visiting the local farmers market held on weekends in the parking lot across the way.

Fun vegan concept to visit if you are in Healdsburg…read more Don't missed the smoked carrot spread - it's super creamy, I don't know how they do it. (If you're not hungry, you can get it from the refrigerated section to-go.) The bibimbap bowl was surprisingly filling and I liked most of the elements (mushrooms were a bit too sweet for me but nice and juicy, the charred bok choy was excellent). It's one of those meals where you feel good about yourself after eating it. The rye brownie my friend was obsessed with, she loved how light it was while still delivering the satisfaction of a brownie. I thought it was not bad, especially considering it's gluten free, but not necessarily the best brownie I've had. It's not too sweet or rich/dense which is my usual gripe with brownies

Highly recommend sharing the Goat Cheese Croquettes - bite sized balls of cheese goodness, drizzled with honey and lavender. Perfection! We always get at least one seasonal Garden Salad - light and fresh! And I tried a few different main courses over our visits - all inspired and delicious: +Bucatini Pasta with broccolini, sun-dried tomatoes, chanterelles, and pine nuts +Burger (it used to be a thick and rich burger with a bordelaise sauce, but over the summer it was more of a double smash burger with cheese...very Americana, and a little "lighter" than the previous option) +Roasted Mt Lassen Trout - light and clean +Tikka Masala - I ordered this comforting dish with tofu but friends ordered it with chicken. It's flavorful, and a beautiful, bountiful presentation. Barndiva is known for their cocktails. We like our go-to classic and mezcal margaritas, but have worked our way through some of their signature cocktails, always adorned with dried fruit and/or edible flowers! If you haven't visited recently, I do recommend giving them another try. If you can't get a reservation online, call - that's worked for us! Cheers.

I started with the creamy chicken croquetas, what a pity there were only three. I could have eaten a dozen. I also had the crispy asparagus and jamon "cigarillos" with manchego and a harissa aioli. Pure bliss. The roasted beets with walnuts and idazabal cheese were delicious and very generous, a reminder that one shouldn't go to a tapas restaurant alone! So take a friend or two and go.

The food though was disappointing. The most interesting item was the clams that came in a cava broth with garlic and parsley. They brought some toasted hearty bread to soak up the sauce. The baby kale salad was also nice with shaved fennel and manchego. The other three dishes were both off and a bit weird. The cauliflower came with bacon, which was good, and sweet dates; the dates were an odd addition and they stuck to your teeth. The calamari, was prepared well - it wasn't chewy - but it just had an off flavor, or at least one I haven't experienced before. Same too for the octopus. This was a much larger portion than typical - two tentacles, plus potatoes and olives. The octopus though was rather mealy. Small Spanish red wine list; only four. Tried two and neither were our favorites. The 1970s-80s classic rock soundtrack was an odd choice for background music.

From the very beginning of the meal, there was a clear sense of precision, elegance, and intention. The opening presentation was stunning, filled with an assortment of beautifully composed small bites featuring oyster, mushroom, sea bream, and a variety of other seasonal ingredients. Each bite felt delicate yet purposeful, showcasing both technical refinement and remarkable balance. One of the most memorable dishes of the evening was the bluefin tuna moriawase paired with strawberries. Normally, fruit in savory dishes tends to feel distracting or overly sweet to me, but the execution here was exceptional. The chefs managed to create a harmony between sweetness, tartness, acidity, and umami that elevated the tuna rather than overshadowing it. It was a dish that felt thoughtful, restrained, and incredibly well composed. The consistency throughout the progression of the menu was equally impressive. Course after course arrived with meticulous presentation and a strong sense of identity. Every dish felt polished and intentional, balancing visual artistry with flavors that were equally compelling. There was never a moment where the meal lost momentum, and the pacing allowed each course to feel distinct while still contributing to a cohesive experience. That said, there was one course that completely missed the mark for our group. The milk and honey dessert, which resembled a sponge cake topped with a whipped goat cheese foam, was overwhelmingly pungent and difficult to approach as a dessert course. The intensity of the goat cheese dominated every other component, to the point where it felt less like a composed dessert and more like being punched by a goat farm. Looking around the dining room, it seemed we were not alone in our reaction. Interestingly, when we mentioned that this was the only dish we did not enjoy, we were told, "if at least 1 out of 10 guests enjoy it, we consider it a win." It was certainly an unexpected response, especially given how polished and thoughtful the rest of the experience had been. Even with that misstep, the overall meal was exceptional. SingleThread succeeds in delivering a dining experience that feels elegant, immersive, and deeply personal. Between the artistry of the presentations, the balance of flavors, and the technical execution across the menu, it remains one of the most impressive three Michelin star experiences in California.
