The curry puff had a nice flaky crust and flavorful filling. Pad Thai had the perfect blend of thin noodles and sauce. The green curry Thai was a nice blend of curry and it was delicious. The eggplant dish had a lot of sauce which was perfect. I have ordered this in the past and there was always a lack of sauce. This was served with a generous amount of the delicious sauce. This is a small little restaurant on the backside of the Windsor town Square. There were several cozy little tables. After swimming, we decided to have some lunch here because somebody at the pool recommended this place. I had the Pad Kra Paw. It was a stir fried dish with Thai chili, garlic, onions, green onions, and Thai basil I opted to have ground pork with it. I got medium spicy and it was perfect. It was a delicious dish. My friend got.the Pad Himmaparih it was chicken with cashew, celery, and onions. It also was medium and she enjoyed the dish very much. My other friend got the duck soup. This small restaurant is cozy inside. The food was delicious, authentic and well prepared. Portions are generous and the staff is attentive. We ordered the Eggplant Delight and Mango Chicken with medium heat. Both dishes came with a bowl of white rice. Brown rice is an option for a small up charge. As an Asian American raised in the SF Bay Area, this place was among the top Thai restaurants I ever visited. When in Windsor, we will definitely visit it again. This is such a gem and Town Green OG. It a small cozy restaurant with friendly service. Everything that we ordered was delicious. The fried rice and pad see ew had good wok hey! The green and red curry were also very good with depth and layering to the flavor. I would recommend calling to make reservations to make sure you get a seat! This was my first time at Tomi Thai. We came as a party of 3 on a Friday night. It was busy but we were able to be seated at a table as we walked in. The staff were all very friendly and had smiles on their faces when we walked in. Our server was excellent! We received speedy service which was professional and friendly as well. We ate "family style" and ordered multiple entrees to split amongst the three of us. We tried the Goong Gaborg, Chicken Pad Thai, Shrimp Pad See Yew, Honey Duck, and Yellow Curry. Everything was amazing, nothing but good things to say about it all. My favorites were the Goong Gaborg and the Shrimp Pad See Yew -- seafood is my favorite. We needed "refueling" between wineries and appreciated the referral to Tomi Thai Restaurant. (Thank you goes to Evan, our wine specialist at Rodney Strong Vineyards.) While Tomi is small in size, it did not feel crowded. Very welcoming atmosphere and gracious service. DH enjoyed his Drunken Noodles and perhaps ate more than he should have. I had the Cashew Chicken Rice Plate. Plated beautifully. The small salad was fresh and flavorful with a lovely dressing. Generous portions of both the cashew chicken and rice. I was not able to finish my meal and sadly could not take it with me. (It was a very hot September day, and we were not returning to our hotel for several hours. While we are rarely in Windsor, we will keep Tomi Thai on our list of top spots. We will return next time we are in the area for our wine ventures. read more

I recently ordered Tomi Thai for takeout. The food was ready quickly and everything tasted fresh. Appreciate that they text you when it's ready. I ordered the spring rolls: light, fresh, and substantial portion for an appetizer, with a delicious peanut sauce on the side. I also ordered my usual vegetarian green curry with fried tofu, but accidentally asked for medium spice. I love heat, but it was almost too spicy to eat, so be mindful when ordering. Rice helped cut the spice, a bit. I got two meals out of the curry, so cut the spice on my second meal with a little coconut milk. We used to order from Tomi Thai frequently but in the last year or so they've been so busy every time we call with an hour+ wait time. So I was thankful to reach them at the right time this time, and I hope to order from them again when I next crave Thai. read more

The service and atmosphere is great, love visiting Windsor. The food, some issues. The peanut sauce was soupy and that unique taste of peanut sauce. It was more of a salad dressing flavor. The yellow curry chicken, something else that's missing traditional taste. The curry was sweet and really lacked the yellow curry flavor, I can normally eat it on rice and just love that, it is just lacking something and boring. Third time is a charm! We don't get over to Windsor too often but every time we've tried to eat here, it has been closed due to us stopping by on a weekend or the staff being away on a family vacation... but it was worth the wait! It's a cozy place with about 8 tables plus seating at the counter. We arrived around 1:00 pm and people were leaving thanking the owners for a nice meal so we were the second round of diners. Our server was very pleasant and sweet. We ordered the pad see ew with chicken and pad thai with chicken and tofu. Both dishes were really tasty. Flavors were perfect and satisfying. I ordered my pad see ew medium spicy and it was lovely! We were happy to see that the restaurant was doing great lunch business for a Tuesday. Diners continued to come through the door after we were seated. The servers were friendly and attentive, they refilled our waters and we were entertained by a darling girl next to us trying to eat with chopsticks. All the dishes that I saw at other tables looked delicious so we will be back. There is parking lot just outside the restaurant door, shared with other businesses, or 3-hour street parking. I went there because I had a couple errands in Windsor. So I searched for Asian restaurants because I hadn't eaten all day. I went just before close at lunch. Upon entering I was asked something like what could they do for me to which I replied I was there to eat. I'm often surprised to be asked this. I fully entered the restaurant, didn't stop at the front or the bar showing I was there for lunch. I guess it's a pet peeve of mine. So we got off on the wrong foot right at the beginning. I needed to use the restroom to wash my hands and said I was going to the ladies room I'd be right back. When I walked down a very long hallway where the restroom is apparently shared with multiple businesses I discovered you need a key to get into the restroom. The server didn't offer this info or a key. Luckily another patron from another business came from the opposite direction so I was able to enter the restroom after all. Then I asked a couple questions about their Pad Thai because I'd been to Thailand and prefer a certain style. I determined I best try the Drunken Noodle. I wouldn't call it traditional by any means though the write up from the owners said it was traditional Thai food (home style). I was surprised how people raved about the food on their reviews. Maybe it was an off day for them or me. But I found little appreciation for pretty much all the things that transpired. When she brought the check she put it in a filthy glass hence the pic. And the cost was $19 plus change for the one dish. So I put in a $20 and a $5 as I had no ones. When she brought my change she left my $5 in the dirty glass. I was tempted not to leave a tip as this felt like the last straw. Instead I walked to the bar on the way out and asked for change so I could tip. I've never not left a tip but really didn't want to leave a tip. But I left $3 and some change from the $20 that was in the glass. There wasn't much that I could say I felt welcomed by the staff. I love mom and pop places or any family businesses and lean towards supporting local family businesses. Most likely I'm not planning to return. But I say go and give them a try. They might be friendlier and more helpful with you and they are a local family business. The thing is I really like to give good and even great reviews. I live for saying kind things about people, places and things, especially writing good reviews. With that being said I do expect a modicum of decency from anyplace I choose to spend my money. read more

As the service with our specific server, wasn't the best as she wasn't personable and just seemed irritated to be there. The other staff however was very nice! I've been coming here since I was a kid and I've loved this restaurant for so long! The staff are friendly, careful with allergies, attentive, and overall really seem like they care about your dining experience. The food is consistently perfect, which is why I've been coming here for so long. I just wish there was more seating since people seem to know that this is the spot haha! I recommend the Thai tea, curry puffs, larb, any of the curries, pad see ew, pad thai, drunken noodles... basically everything. The portions are generous too. You can tell in every dish that the ingredients are fresh, cooked to perfection, and super flavorful. As a note, the food can be spicer than expected, so adjust your spice levels accordingly. This is our regular Thai spot when we are in Windsor. The food is always really good and the service is really friendly! Inside the restaurant is a bit small. Decoration is very beautiful. Today we had curry puff, Laotian sausage, Nam Tok moo, papaya salad, Kao Pad Kaprow, and Gai Yang. Our number one favorite is papaya salad! It's super authentic and so good that we wanted to order one more but we were too full. Everything else was great! However, Laotian sausage dish is way too small for the price (I think it was $14). Please see my picture for reference. They either should give more or reduce the price because it is way too expensive! It got a really nice flavor though but with that price and the small portion, I may not want to order it again. The portion for everything else is decent. Also, their Thai iced tea is super expensive at $6. One thing we did not like much from today is it took so long for the food to come out! When we ordered, the restaurant was not that busy and most tables already got their food too. Not sure what was going on. Maybe short staffed or a lot of take out orders? Cute, small Thai restaurant. My husband and I found it on our first night in Windsor. Service is good but not overly warm and welcoming. She didn't really want to make recommendations. She just wanted our order. There was a misunderstanding in our order, though, and she corrected it without additional charges or any hassle which was very appreciated. Tomi Thai is so consistent that I count on them for my "tasty food fix" often. The room is smallish with cushions for the bench-style seats. Comfy. Service is always warm, friendly, efficient. We are SO lucky in CA to have wonderful wine lists, even in small Thai restaurants.Tomi Thai, of course, is much larger than it's dining room! And then the food... fresh, prepared by a highly gifted kitchen crew, and served by the amiable staff. I always have leftovers because they are so generous. Five stars for the food (except for the chicken satay which was tasty but about the size of a thumb, seriously small). Drunken noodle and my friend's entree were both delicious. The problem here was the excruciatingly long wait for our food. It took about 25 minutes for the chicken satay to arrive and 20-25 minutes after that for the main dishes. That's unacceptable. Been to this restaurant many times over the span of 6 years. Wife and I have always loved this restaurant for their fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. The past year, we have been going less and have noticed the times we've order pad Thai, flavor has always been different and not in a good way - bland. When spending close to 20$ for a plate of food you would expect to be satisfied with quality and amount of food. Unfortunately, after this evening order, we will consider other Thai places due to the inconsistency of the food. The service has also been mediocre. When ordering out, tipping should not be required. The servers tend to give a mean look whenever no tip is given. If I spent 80$ on takeout, I don't think a tip is necessary. When good service is received, a generous tip shall follow. Restaurant is cute on the inside but like what others mentioned, very small. I wish the best for this business and hope they can correct what's going on with the kitchen and some of the servers. read more

Never been to this place until today and I think now I'll be coming back here often! It's a cute little restaurant nestled in downtown Windsor. Immediately the vibes when we walked in felt very elegant but cozy. The waitresses were very kind and attentive! Our orders were taken promptly and food came out quickly. I'm very picky on my Thai restaurants since I'm Thai and for me I feel like nothing really lives up to the taste of home. However this place hit pretty close to home! We started with the curry puffs which were so good! Perfectly crispy and the curry was delicious. I had the Pad Kra Pow (Thai spicy; which I was surprised to see on the menu) and oh wow it was so yummy. It was very savory and salty with that hint of sweetness. I wish the fried egg came with the meal already but that's okay I'll remember to order it with next time. Lots of onion and basil in the dish compared to the chicken though. My partner ordered the Pad Thai and I actually really loved how this was prepared. Not to sweet and not too salty. Some Pad Thai's are way too sweet and sticky but this was the perfect balance. What can I say about this location that doesn't already speak for itself. The food is amazing! You order the level of spicy you want and it comes out perfect with tons of flavor. They were out of the mango chicken but recommended the BBQ chicken. I was hesitant but then it turned out super delicious. They didn't have our wine that we wanted but the substitute worked out with the food. Note: This is a small establishment so reservations are recommended and you will be sitting cozy if you aren't sitting at the bar. They are closed on Saturday and Sundays. My colleage and I just went for a business lunch because I had been there before the food had been wonderful. The waitress however said the wait would be 20-25 minutes, even though two table were free. I asked if they were reserved and she said, "No, but it's almost noon and they might fill up. I can seat you at the counter though." My colleage said, "That's crazy, let's go somewhere else." We did. The simple noodle soup and the drunken noodles were bland (we did ask for mild because kids were eating, but that doesn't mean a lack of flavor). The Tom Kha had too much lemongrass. The Seafood Panang curry was strangely thick and almost gooey and the scallops were not fresh (very fishy). *** Owners reached out and explained the reasoning. Wonderful staff. I ordered Pad Kra Pow and rice from Tomi Thai on 03.18.2025. It was delicious! The flavors were very balance. I ordered it spicy and it wasn't too hot but it had some kick to it. Everything was fresh. I mean it when I say, this is the best Thai food I have ever eaten. I'm 63, btw. I would order from Tomi Thai again without hesitation.
