The container was full but came this small w/ no rice for $18.

Never again!! I rarely order delivery anywhere because it's always a bit disappointing but was in a time crunch tonight. I have never eaten here before so had zero expectations. The green curry literally had an inch of oil on the top of it, was $18 for a tiny little container and didn't even come with rice. I ordered mild and this was spicy. I don't know if this was made yesterday but the eggplant was disintegrating in the curry. So gross, I couldn't even eat it. This was probably the worst Thai food I've ever had. I will never eat here again.

Got food for take out and it is delicious! The green curry with tofu is the perfect balance between sweet and spicy, all while not being too heavy. It pairs perfectly with the jasmine rice. There isn't a lot of tofu, but the healthy portion of eggplant makes up for it to me. The food was delivered fresh and hot and I am a happy girl.

While visiting Santa Rosa, we wanted something on the lighter side, plus some Thai food sounded good. We stopped in here, and were greeted pretty quickly, got our table, menu, and water very quickly. We decided on the chicken satay and the Pad Thai with beef. Both of these dishes came out very quickly, and were very tasty. One of the things that was missing, was that the server never asked if we wanted any level of spice in our Thai food. This seems to be very common and most Thai food, restaurants, where I like mine on the medium, or 2 to 3 star side. The food was hot, freshly prepared, and tasted quite good. We would go back, when we are in Santa Rosa again. It was a slow night, it was very quiet in the restaurant, there were probably four or five tables with people. With a slight rumble for the background noise.

This is the best Thai in the Santa Rosa area. Always delicious! Today i had the beef drunken noodles for lunch. I asked for spicy and they were! More importantly though the flavor was amazing. The noodles were firm. The veggies the perfect al dente . Best thing I've had to eat all week hands down.

I stopped by this place while looking for a dinner place close by my hotel. Most places in this square don't have good reviews so was looking to see what had the best reviews. Overall this is just an average edible place. I had the Tom kha soup and it was very milky and lacking flavor. Appears overly done with vegetables and not to my liking and not to what I'm used to eating in my favorite Thai places. The pad Thai was also just average and lacking seasoning or flavor and not a big hit with me. Maybe my standards are high from my favorite places, but if in the area, there's certainly other options. When in Santa Rosa, and looking for Thai, I would look elsewhere for better flavor and taste.

Nice little neighborhood place -- not a destination restaurant but if you're in Santa Rosa, a nice stop for lunch. I've had a few lunches after antique shopping on that same block and enjoyed them. The place is clean and attractive and service is friendly and good. Food is tasty. Very fresh. I wouldn't say outstanding but definitely good for lunch on the fly. I had vegetarian stir fry noodles that were very tasty and my husband enjoyed the soup.

Perfect for dine in and take out. Best Thai around. I would suggest either dine in or takeout if you just want to have in your hotel room.

Do the have unethical "junk fees" on their bill?

Many reviews spoke of how easy it is for vegans & vegetarians to enjoy your restaurant. When we come to eat, do you have a separate vegan/vegetarian menu we should ask for? Or are menu items marked, or do we rely on waitstaff to assist in choices?

nothing is marked but uts easy to order food as vegan or veggie

Jyun Kang Vegetarian - A Meal That Quietly Resets You…read more Some meals speak in flavor. This one speaks in quiet. Jyun Kang is not modern plant-based cuisine. It isn't creative, trendy, or reinvented. This is the kind of vegetarian cooking that comes from older traditions - simple, steady, and designed to calm you more than impress you. And maybe that's why the dining room is always full. White, Black, Indian, Asian - everyone sits at the same wooden tables, eating the same humble dishes with an ease that feels rare these days. The Food: Old-School, Temple-Style, and Intentionally Quiet Nothing here tries to stand out. The dishes are: * lightly seasoned * clean and balanced * tofu, vegetables, and wheat gluten prepared the way temple kitchens have done for decades * no heavy oil, no aggressive spices, no sharp flavors It's not meant to overwhelm you. It's meant to lower the noise inside you. In a strange way, the quietness is the flavor. This is the type of meal where your nervous system shifts down a gear without you realizing it. The Atmosphere: A Dining Room Wrapped in Calm Steps away from the main courtyard of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, the restaurant feels like an extension of the grounds themselves. Light streams in softly. People speak gently. Even the clinking of dishes feels slower, more deliberate. Eating here isn't just eating - it's entering a different pace of life. A White Peacock After Lunch After the meal, a white peacock walked across the courtyard - unhurried, soft-footed, almost unreal in how quietly it moved. White peacocks are often considered auspicious, but even without any symbolism, the moment felt grounding - a small, unexpected pause that matched the tone of the meal. Not many restaurants offer you that. The Walk Afterward Part of the experience is what happens once you step outside: * walking past tall trees * seeing peacocks on rooftops * watching families stroll through the open grounds * letting your mind cool in the same way your body just did This isn't a restaurant visit. It's a reset. Verdict: A Place That Nourishes More Than Hunger Jyun Kang serves exactly what it intends to serve: pure, old-style temple vegetarian food, quietly and consistently. It won't dazzle you, but it will steady you. And sometimes, that is worth more than flavor. If you want boldness, go elsewhere. If you want a meal that lowers the volume of your day - come here.
