    Spicy Eggplant
    Lisa W.

After a long hike my friend and I were ravished so decided to try the lunch special here. I had the spicy garlic eggplant- I didn't taste much spice but was good. I loved the green salad that accompanied the meal. The Thai coffee was nice and strong. Just wish the glass wasn't filled with ice to the brim. Nice interior decor. Our server was friendly.

I was too lazy to cook today, so I stopped by my favorite spot and ordered my togo lab pork and sticky rice. I couldn't even wait to get home I ended up eating near the grocery shopping center because it smelled so good! This dish never disappoints. It's packed with flavor and always gives me a boost of energy. The owner was super nice and friendly, and the atmosphere was really welcoming and comfortable. I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

My mom and I were actually going to hit up another restaurant but it was closes so we came to Baan Thai and I'm very glad we did! My go-to is always Pad See-ew with shrimp and so that's what I got here. My mom got the Ginger Lovers dish with chicken. We were here around noon and opted for the lunch dishes instead of dinner entrees. I've had a lot of noodle dishes recently at various places and this was certainly the best. Big wide noodles with just the right amount of sauce, and all the noodles coated nicely without them sticking together like they do sometimes. Great vegetables in my dish. The side-salad that came with it was also tasty and refreshing. It came with a largely mayo based dressing, which my mom and I enjoyed. Overall I would for sure come here again. Very delicious and fresh food!

Favorite is their fresh spring roll with shrimp with peanut sauce. Also yellow curry and shrimp and Tom kho soup! I travel for work finding a good Thai place is hard! This is my third time coming here and will be going back for more!

Quite by chance I discovered this little gem for lunch. It's kind of hidden away in a shopping center in Larkfield, near Santa Rosa. A nearby merchant recommended it and that's how I discovered the restaurant. Clean and welcoming, and the owner was the gracious server. Lots of variety on the menu, and a respectable wine list. I tried a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that I would definitely order again. Shrimp spring rolls, a generous serving, were fresh and tasty, especially with the yummy peanut sauce. Noodles. Yes, there were noodles, and I tried the yellow curry noodles. Oh! Again, a generous portion. And reasonable pricing.

I can honestly say that I love this place! I'm very picky on Thai food mainly because we had a place called sister kitchen back home that was phenomenal and I have to compare every place to that. This place was so good you could taste all the flavors in layers, and it tasted fresh and clean... Simply amazing! But I don't live in Pismo Beach anymore. Now that I live in Northern California, I am constantly seeking new restaurants, and I also travel for a living. I came across Baan Thai and it is really good! Very fresh tasting with layers of flavor.

The food here is absolutely wonderful, every bite has a savoring flavor that will excite your every tastebud. The service was perfect and the owner is a very polite person whom will cater to your every need. A delightful ambiance with peaceful music and decorations that will please the sight. Parking is ample and easy to get in and out. This fine resturaunt offers take out orders. It has been a pleasure and an honor to be served here.

The Panang Curry was delicious - vegan-friendly (no oyster sauce) and served with a very generous portion and a proper veg-to-tofu ratio. The Drunken Noodles was well-balanced with plenty of veggies, and the Spring Rolls had a good crunch (and I appreciated that they were mushroom-free). The pricing is the main drawback. At $20 per entree, it's a steep ask for the average diner. Even in high-end SF neighborhoods, you can often find comparable quality for less. Bottom Line: I would love to return, but the pricing isn't sustainable for regular visits. I'd definitely be back if the price point better matched the local area and the current state of the economy.

He went with the pineapple duck and he was soo happy. It was a very large portion, and he was very happy to be able to enjoy the meal again the next day. I also enjoyed a nice large portion of peanut sauce noodles with chicken, that lasted me a few meals as well. We did start off with some crispy coconut shrimp that were delicious! I was glad to see there were picked up orders as we dined because it never had more than two tables seated while we were there. Sign of the times, I suppose, but I am so glad this restaurant has withstood the test of time and is still knocking it out of the park.

They charged $4 for shrimp on the salad, which is perfectly fine, except I got 3 shrimp for $4. The Pad See Ew was less than stellar but the sushi rolls were good. Let me say that the service from the Thai lady was awesome. The salmon and white fish were only 2 slices each which started to fulfill my craving. But then came the other stuff. I hate the egg omelette and there were 3 of those. On top of that, imitation crab was used. While I don't hate it, I'd prefer real fish. I ordered miso soup as well which was too damn salty. They should rename it to Miso-Salty soup. This wasn't the first time either. I remembered how past soups were too salty as well. Whoever is making the soup needs to taste it! I left unsatisfied and went to O! Sushi to next day to fulfill my cravings. I doubt I'll return to lil Thai again.

So, I am down in California helping a friend move, and as a treat, we decided to get a Togo order of Thai. The reviews for this place were amazing, and we had high hopes... We ordered the Pad Kee Mow, one with shrimp and one with tofu, Now, where I'm from we have local Thai restaurants that are incredibly tasty and not afraid of spice.. Tipp Thai offered heat levels from 3 star to 10. So we both ordered 7, because we are not afraid of heat. When my friend got home from picking up the grub, we started in on the Pad Kee Mow dish.. Man.... I've never been more disappointed... the heat was absolutely there, no question... but maybe I should have asked for them to leave the actual spices in the dish.. Those typical spices that are usually in this delightful dish were NOWHERE to be found.. This was sooooo disappointing !!! Heat yes.. Spice and flavour?? Absolutely NOT.... We also ordered the fresh salad rolls .. The fella who cashed my friend out and also took the order stated that the salad rolls didn't come with Peanut sauce as they usually do in every Thai restaurant I've EVER been too.. and Unfortunately, the salad roll were also bland, and missing flavour .. They tasted like had arugula in it.. Granted I really do like arugula in specific dishes or salads... but damn... Needless to say, we couldn't eat them.. They were gross.... And no peanut sauce.. ‍ I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.
