Pad Thai, fried rice, drunken noodles

Ordered takeout... all dishes were prepared on time and were delicious. Would love to have a little bit more flavor and heat. Service was accommodating and friendly. Will definitely come back again.

I was too lazy to cook today, so I stopped by my favorite spot and ordered my togo lab pork and sticky rice. I couldn't even wait to get home I ended up eating near the grocery shopping center because it smelled so good! This dish never disappoints. It's packed with flavor and always gives me a boost of energy. The owner was super nice and friendly, and the atmosphere was really welcoming and comfortable. I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

After a long hike my friend and I were ravished so decided to try the lunch special here. I had the spicy garlic eggplant- I didn't taste much spice but was good. I loved the green salad that accompanied the meal. The Thai coffee was nice and strong. Just wish the glass wasn't filled with ice to the brim. Nice interior decor. Our server was friendly.

My mom and I were actually going to hit up another restaurant but it was closes so we came to Baan Thai and I'm very glad we did! My go-to is always Pad See-ew with shrimp and so that's what I got here. My mom got the Ginger Lovers dish with chicken. We were here around noon and opted for the lunch dishes instead of dinner entrees. I've had a lot of noodle dishes recently at various places and this was certainly the best. Big wide noodles with just the right amount of sauce, and all the noodles coated nicely without them sticking together like they do sometimes. Great vegetables in my dish. The side-salad that came with it was also tasty and refreshing. It came with a largely mayo based dressing, which my mom and I enjoyed. Overall I would for sure come here again. Very delicious and fresh food!

Favorite is their fresh spring roll with shrimp with peanut sauce. Also yellow curry and shrimp and Tom kho soup! I travel for work finding a good Thai place is hard! This is my third time coming here and will be going back for more!

Quite by chance I discovered this little gem for lunch. It's kind of hidden away in a shopping center in Larkfield, near Santa Rosa. A nearby merchant recommended it and that's how I discovered the restaurant. Clean and welcoming, and the owner was the gracious server. Lots of variety on the menu, and a respectable wine list. I tried a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that I would definitely order again. Shrimp spring rolls, a generous serving, were fresh and tasty, especially with the yummy peanut sauce. Noodles. Yes, there were noodles, and I tried the yellow curry noodles. Oh! Again, a generous portion. And reasonable pricing.

I can honestly say that I love this place! I'm very picky on Thai food mainly because we had a place called sister kitchen back home that was phenomenal and I have to compare every place to that. This place was so good you could taste all the flavors in layers, and it tasted fresh and clean... Simply amazing! But I don't live in Pismo Beach anymore. Now that I live in Northern California, I am constantly seeking new restaurants, and I also travel for a living. I came across Baan Thai and it is really good! Very fresh tasting with layers of flavor.

The food here is absolutely wonderful, every bite has a savoring flavor that will excite your every tastebud. The service was perfect and the owner is a very polite person whom will cater to your every need. A delightful ambiance with peaceful music and decorations that will please the sight. Parking is ample and easy to get in and out. This fine resturaunt offers take out orders. It has been a pleasure and an honor to be served here.

First the good part- it's my first time at SEA Thai Bistro. We liked the location, ambience, our server - PK. PK was helpful and hospitable also humorous so fun to interact with. We informed PK we would like to order vegetarian and he was nice enough to suggest what mains can be ordered/altered to make vegetarian (without any fish or fish paste added). With limited choice being there, we ordered Tofu Drunken Noodles, Chicken Cashew (chicken substituted by Tofu) with Jasmine Rice and a few chilled Simba (& Simba refills). The other part was - the staff member at the right side of the door. She looked hassled throughout; right from the time we walked in and exited. We told her we did not make a reservation and are two of us so is a booth available, she was reluctant and still made us sit at the smaller table for two (while most of the indoor tables and booths were still free). No problem, maybe she had been having a bad day. Similar hassled attitude observed at the time of leaving; leaves one with not a great taste ! So, while we would likely choose to come back for the food and else that felt good; hoping we don't have to meet or be greeted by that same employee and her inhospitable attitude.

However, after trying the food, we felt that they put more care and attention into their cooking than most places. The beef ribs in the pho were tender. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive, and pleasant throughout the meal, so I was initially planning to give the service 4 stars. Unfortunately, the food was just mediocre. The Pad See Ew was overly sweet and had barely any noodles--it was mostly beef. The coconut soup was only lukewarm when it arrived. We also ordered a bento box, tempura over fried rice, and a pho. None of the dishes really stood out or made us want to come back. I'd give the food 2 stars. What really disappointed us was the bill. We were charged an 18% gratuity because our party had five people, but no one informed us beforehand. We also didn't see any sign or notice stating that parties of more than four would automatically be charged gratuity. It wasn't mentioned when we were seated or when the check was presented. I don't mind paying gratuity for good service, but I do expect restaurants to be transparent about automatic service charges.

The food portions were SMALL and extremely expensive compared to the East Bay and SF. Their host was either new or unprofessional. Typically I make reservations at dog friendly restaurants there's a check box to inform the staff if there's a dog. There was none. Letting us know he needed to ''get creative' with our reservations because we didn't specify we had a dog, then making a big show of add an extra chair to their patio to accommodate all of us to scolding us to 'leave a note next time' was all unprofessional. While I agree I shouldn't have assumed, I don't believe - especially since we were able to be seated within five minutes of our reservation- we should have been spoken to like that.
