Khao soi with beef short rib
Bonnie N.

I have been here multiple times with both my fiancé and friends, and enjoyed each time. Some of my favorites are their khao soi short rib, mango salad, papaya, salad, and mango sticky rice. I recently tried their pad Thai and that will also be one of my new favorites. My fiancé always gets their pumpkin curry with chicken. Flavor and portion size are great. The ambience is cozy and homey. Lots of parking outside. Service is always friendly, even when they are packed. If you go during peak dinner hours around 6 to 7:30pm, your food may take some time to come out. I think it's worth it though. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a great meal as always!

Pad Kee Mao delicious.

Pad Thai very average. Mostly noodles. The last time I ordered this, I chose pork as the meat. It was kind of disappointing because there wasn't much meat in there at all. I get it that food costs are high, but if you're gonna be in the business you might as well serve the food, right?

1/2/26 FYI. Chicken noodle soup.

Quality/Quantity - It's wing day (I also had wings for dinner, see my Smalls Fusion 5 star review in Eureka). The wings here were so good. But the ones at dinner were slightly better. Both 5+ stars! Chicken Noodle Soup - My wife was craving soup. This was good. Decent quantity. A fairly simple dish. The chicken looked like it was shredded chicken breast. Beef Pad See Ew - Interesting bean sprouts; that is new for us. Overall good, but we could have used a slightly larger quantity. Ambiance - Small local restaurant. We were the first customers, so we got to pick our table of choice. Plenty of mall parking; again, first customers. Clean unisex restroom. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 8:30pm. Service - 6 stars. Lani was so experienced and professional. And she looks so young (compliment). It was a reward watching her work the entire restaurant by herself. So smooth and positive. Greeted everyone that walked in, took orders, followed up, etc. Plus she still had time to chat with me for a few minutes, basically I was complimenting her. Price - $51 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since early 2024 at this location. Where were your previous locations?

Pad See Ew (pork)

Met up with a couple of friends here to try a new Thai place and I can happily say I will be back again. I ordered Pad See Ew (pork) and my friends ordered Pad See Ew (chicken) and Pumpkin Curry. I appreciated the different levels of spicy as we could choose from as I do not handle a lot of spice very well, but my friends wanted theirs spicy. Everything was delicious and the service was everything we needed. I also ordered a Thai Tea and it was also delicious and had a good ratio. The restaurant was busy but still had plenty of seating - we went on a Thursday night.

A great spot for Asian food in Santa Rosa. They have Thai / Vietnamese and a bunch of asian fusion dishes. I ordered the cashew noodles which is basically a thai/chinese style fusion dish. The sauce is great - its a slightly smoky chili sauce with a bit of sweetness. They warn you its very spicy but I didn't really notice it. Really nice artwork and decor inside and the service is good too. There were lots of other dishes that sounded great, will definitely be back to try them!

I just love this little place so much. I've been back several times and yesterday it was me and my granddaughter and I can't get that kid to eat anything, but yesterday she ate 4 potstickers so that also says a lot. Food is always super fresh and plenty of it!!

Beef pho

This restaurant was very unique. Viet and Thai combined. Positives: -Food, we got the corn fritters, the beef pho, and the beef rib khao soy. My wife liked her khao soy as the broth tasted more like Vietnamese curry. It also came with a giant beef rib and a ton of noodles. I did not like my beef pho. The broth was very dark and was a little too sweet. It almost seemed too Thai like the boat noodle broth. We both enjoyed the corn fritters however. -portions were very generous and service was standard -ambiance had a Thai theme for the decor. The area outside is questionable. It has seen better times. Negatives: -prices are on the higher end compared to SoCal prices. Overall 5/5 We will return because my wife loves the khao soy broth.

Iced Thai Green Tea

Summary - you should got and try this place out. It is in a small strip mall, but don't let that put you off. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is great and friendly. I tried the iced Thai green tea, and I will sure to have it again. We went because many of the dishes are gluten free, what my daughter needed. Plus a load of vegetarian options that I needed Chicken pad Thai was excellent as was the Peanut Good. Not much else to say. Fabulous service, tabulated dishes. Go..... An added treat Dave's ice cream is next door, so treat yourself to ice cream afterwards. I will be back at Viethai many more times that is for sure.

Mango Salad & Thai Tea with Coconut Milk.
Kirstie A.

We love it here, their presentation on every dish is amazing! food is absolutely delicious. Very fresh ingredients and kind service. This mango salad had so many flavors that surprisingly made me feel very happy. Great hot weather treat. As long as mangoes are in season I will be ordering this over and over again. I also love fried rice, and any of the wok dishes.

Corn fritter
Tracy D.

We ordered takeout. If we weren't tired we would've loved to eat in as it's beautifully decorated. W head yellow curry one with chicken and the other with steak. We also had the corn fritter. All tasted yummy. Service was kind.

Mango sticky rice dessert.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant but it certainly won't be our last. The menu has both Thai and Vietnamese dishes and is quite extensive. Everything we tried was fantastic, plus the presentation was way above par (see photo). We had the crispy fried pork appetizer. The pork was crispy and very tasty, and the sauce which accompanied it was fantastic. For entrees we had cashew noodles with pork, and basil with chicken. The portions were extremely generous, and the quality the best we've had at a Thai restaurant. We took half of it home with us. For desert we had mango sticky rice, again very excellent and generous portions. Overall this place is terrific and we'll soon be back.

Thai Shrimp Ceviche
Pearl C.

Everything was excellent here! Came here for an early dinner with my mom and I really liked all the dishes. Biggest standouts were the papaya salad and the Khao Soi with crab meat. Papaya salad was so refreshing, citrusy and nutty. Thai Shrimp ceviche was a good appetizer as well! Both these dishes had a slight spicy kick to them which I love. Whatever they used for the chips was sooo good, a lot lighter and thinner than traditional corn tortilla chips. Beef pad see ew was good as well, can't go wrong with it and it didn't taste overly sweet like some places I've been to. Highly recommend the khao soi, a warm Thai red curry broth with that sweet coconut milk to cut the acidity and a good amount of hearty egg noodles. Hope to come back soon to try other stuff!

BBQ duck noodle soup (can have egg or rice noodles)
Genie O.

Service friendly, welcoming, beautiful, clean and creative good food. A bit unfair to review on one dish but I'll be back for more. I'm always looking for amazing BBQ duck noodle soup to replicate one I had in the past - sorry to say this wasn't it though it was good. I'm sure it helps with the pricing to have about 10 small thin slices of duck instead of the chunks with skin on top adding a bit of fat, but I miss that. I do see other dishes on the menu I want to try and am so happy to find this type of menu in the north bay. Back for more soon!

The Vibe Walking in here is a trip. It's got that glorious,…read morequirky architectural DNA of a former fast-food joint, but instead of a sad burger, you're greeted with the kind of service that actually makes you feel like a human being. It's "drive-thru cool" meets "neighborhood gem." It's unpretentious, it's efficient, and it works. The Goods * The Pho: This isn't just soup; it's a spiritual experience. The broth is cleaner than a fresh audit and hits harder than a Monday morning deadline. * Banh Mi: The bread actually has that "shatter" factor. One bite and you're covered in crumbs like a happy disaster. It's the perfect ratio of crust, fluff, and savory kick. * Lemongrass Soup: If you need to wake up your senses, this is the lightning bolt. It's bright, herbaceous, and makes standard chicken noodle look like a nap. * Spring Rolls: Tight, fresh, and paired with a peanut sauce so good you'll want to take a pint of it home for later. The Bottom Line Forget the white tablecloths. If you want the real deal in Santa Rosa, you go to the place with the quirky layout and the elite kitchen. I've been here before and the food is decent, though overpriced for what you get. This visit,…read morehowever, was a different experience entirely and one I feel other customers need to know about. We started with the BBQ pork spring rolls. The BBQ pork was shredded, which felt like a cost-cutting move on protein. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting for the price point. I was seated outside with my dog on a busy, loud street. I ordered a bánh mì sandwich by number. Our server came back mid-order to ask about rice or noodles, which I assumed was a clarifying question about my mom's vegetarian soup, as both dishes contained tofu. When the food arrived, I received lemongrass tofu and not what I ordered. I flagged it immediately. The server acknowledged the confusion but then returned to inform me that the owner, who was off-site and being reached by phone, was requiring me to pay for the wrong dish regardless. This is apparently their policy: if an order is made in error, the customer is still responsible for the cost. I asked to speak with the owner or an on-site manager. Both requests were denied. What I was told next genuinely shocked me: the server mentioned that the cost of the wrong dish would be split between the kitchen and serving staff. These employees were willing to cover a mistake out of their own pockets rather than push back on the owner. The server was visibly uncomfortable throughout the entire interaction. To be clear: the staff were kind and doing their best under what appeared to be a stressful and unfair working environment. This is a management issue, not a staff issue. If you dine here, confirm your order carefully, especially if seated outside where it's loud. And know that if the restaurant gets your order wrong, their policy may hold you responsible for it.

We were greeted by the friendly owner (?) and he told us we could take a seat wherever we wanted. There were several people enjoying a late lunch on both sides of the restaurant. I noticed that most of the customers had ordered the pho. We decided to try: - Fresh spring rolls - delicious! Large shrimp, fresh ingredients. Tasty dip. - Garlic noodle plate - noodles were a nice thickness, bouncy and flavored well. Protein was the bbq pork as we were told that's a customer favorite. Veggies were hot and cooked perfectly. - Steak pho - broth was delightful, clean and fresh tasting, with thin slices of tender meat. Noodles were a nice consistency and not mushy. I loved it even more with the bean sprouts, jalapeno, basil and a touch of lime. Everything was timed perfectly, spring rolls came out first for us to enjoy. Server, who I think is the owner, checked on us and refilled my water without having to ask. He promptly cleans up tables after customers leave so the place always looks clean and neat. Overall, a lovely meal. We will be back soon! Located in the Larkfield Center between Cookie... Take a Bite and Exchange Bank. Lots of parking available.

I ordered roast pork, hoping it was a long cooked tender roast pork. Nope. It was a pork roast that had been sliced and was pretty darn tough with a sizable fat cap that was tough and rubbery and did not add to the richness. The only veg. In my sandwich was a lot of hot pickled daikon and a tiny extremely thin slice of cucumber and a tiny very dark green thing that maybe used to be cilantro. ALL of the veg in the sandwich was hot. I have never had hot veggies in a bahn mi. The bread was over toasted and killed the top of my mouth. I think they built the sandwich and THEN put it in either a microwave or oven so that everything, including the vegetables were very warm. There was no pate nor butter, just mayo and tough meat and a lot of warm daikon. No carrot whatsoever. No jalapeño.. And a VERY tiny bit of cooked slimy cilantro. I have never seen cooked cilantro in a sandwich before. The bread was also over toasted and cut the top of my mouth like crazy. IT was awful. I like bahn mi because I enjoy the contrast between the warm meat and the pickled fresh veggies, crunchy with the cool sweet pickle of the daikon and carrot, with some jalapeño heat and some fresh cilantro, with a rich pate on lightly toasted roll to add richness and dimension. This was not that. This was a truly terrible bahn mi. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed even though there were only two customers.
