Honestly the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. The vegetables were so fresh and everything was full of flavor. The avocado spring rolls were delightful. We ordered the pad see ew gluten-free and it was perfectly flavored. The pumpkin curry with tofu was also delicious and just the right level of spice, though I would have liked it to have a bit more pumpkin. And the mango sticky rice was gorgeous and delicious. The waiter was knowledgeable about gluten-free options and very accommodating. We came here when Harbin Hot Springs cafe was unexpectedly closed and what a gem to find. Though the service was slow (they were completely packed and understaffed), it was 100% worth the wait. Our friend ordered the Tom Kha soup and raved about it. We always make a point to stop at Buddha Thai Kitchen when we visit Harbin Hot Springs, and it has become one of our favorite parts of the trip. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, and the portions are generous with plenty of fresh vegetables. Our favorite dishes are the Penang curry and the coconut shrimp--the shrimp itself tastes incredibly fresh, and the coating is perfectly crisp. The mango sticky rice is also absolutely delicious and the perfect way to end the meal. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and attentive, creating a genuinely friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. A great little Thai restaurant in the small quaint town of Middletown. The interior is decorated with Thai decor and art. Abundant indoor dining seating options. We ordered the spring rolls for an appetizer, and Pad Thai and the Tom Kha soup for main courses. Service was great & attentive. The spring rolls were delicious and very fresh ingredients. I would definitely order again. While the soup was also good, it was sweeter than I'm accustomed to, almost as if they added a touch of sugar. If you are familiar with the dish it is a light coconut broth with lime, lots of veggies, and topped with fresh cilantro. It is normal slightly sweet from the coconut milk, but this was an exaggerated sweetness, which is why I believe they may have added sugar. If you like it super sweet, you may enjoy it. Yesterday I purchased their Yellow Chicken Curry with potatoes, the sauce was delicious, however I was quite disappointed that the chicken was tough and chewy in strange unidentified looking shapes, and had no flavor - $$$19.00 plus tax. Now I know there are better restaurants in Cloverdale, CA where a friend brings me their Yellow Chicken curry with juicy chicken and fully cooked potatoes. So given there is only one restaurant close by I am going to order specific ingredients from Amazon and learn to make this dish at home. read more

This was the first and last time I will try this restaurant.. I went with my mom wanting to treat her to a nice dinner. We started off ordering the chicken fresh rolls (which were good ). I ordered the pad ginger beef thinking how could I go wrong with a strong flavor like that right? Well the sauce was bland, and the beef that was used was unseasoned and dry-very disappointing! We also ordered the pineapple fried rice which came out wrong -missing ingredients like raisins and cashews. Luckily they at least remade that dish. The young waitress that was serving us was either staying busy with her EarPods behind the register or being extremely loud organizing trays of silverware for the dining room to hear (mind you it was mostly empty in there). Overall unhappy experience, we paid and left but we really should have sent our entrees back! read more

Hands down, the best Thai food I ever had! I usually leave reviews only if I am highly impressed, or very disappointed. In this case, obviously, highly impressed. We were driving through this little town in the way to Sonoma, and we wanted to grab something to eat. Buddha Thai Kitchen had good reviews, and we decided to give it a try. So happy we did! The food was soo good, full of flavor and fresh. I am not into the habit of taking pictures of the food we order ( so I do not have one with the full plates), but when we realized we almost licked the plates, I knew I had to give them a good review. We had Panang Salmon, yellow curry w/ chicken , drunken noodles w/ chicken and teriyaki chicken. Yummy! The restaurant was clean and stuff really attentive and friendly. We went between lunch and dinner, so was not busy, but many ppl came for take out. I would definitely stop there again if I happen to be in the area. Really wonderful Thai folks are cooking and running the restaurant (I was able to make practice my Thai words).. We had the eggplant with Seafood and the ginger with Seafood, also ordered pineapple, fried rice and some brown rice, everything was delicious, cooked perfectly. To top it off, we ordered the mango sticky rice, what an art for beautiful presentation. Of course, it tasted fantastic as well - check my pic. I'm so happy to have found a place that doesn't prepare their food with unhealthy, undigestible oils, and is made from scratch. which is generally most of the Thai diet, A nice clean positive atmosphere here as well, good folks This is a highly recommended restaurant. My experience was absolutely horrible. Shocking actually, that it was so bad. We were served already spoiled broccoli, and the salmon that came was not even salmon! When I questioned the waitress, she assured me it was salmon. It was sliced thin, and deep fried crispy. It looked like the skin of the salmon. But when I questioned it, I was told it was a " new way of making salmon. I should have sent it all back, but I hate to complain. We paid our tab and left very unhappy, and still hungry. Chicken Larb 4/5. It was short on kaffir lime flavor and mint for me. Overall adequate saltiness/sweet/funk balanced. Crying Tiger Beef 4.5/5. Nice thinly sliced and well marinated. Tasted teriyakish with a hint of fish sauce, needs some lemongrass in the marinade. Tamarind sauce good, sweet soy that also came with it average. Would've liked 2 tamarind sauces. Wish they served this dish with rice. Chicken wings 4/5. Fried with light dust of corn or potato starch. Topped with crispy basil and a big-O-bowl of sweet chili sauce. Couldn't really taste basil, wings need some lemongrass in the marinade. Wings nice and crispy and goes well with sauce. Pad Thai 4/5. Asked for extra sauce and spicy. Standard Pad Thai, nothing over the top. Required a few scoops of chili powder. Pad See Eww 3/5. Came out looking pale like they ran out of dark soy. Lacking wok flavor and color. Tasted like it was cooked on a weak electric skillet. Had the usual soy and white pepper flavor with tender wide noodles. Overall improvement from previous management, but lacking in boldness and flavor explosion of true Thai cuisine to impress the southeast Asian palate. Went for the first time had takeout pad thai and vegetable eggrolls. Got home and found the pad Thai to be mostly noodles. Some tofu and a few vegetables hardly any egg as his traditional, and it was quite bland. I've had to add soy sauce and fish sauce and other things to it not recommended the eggrolls were quite bland too. We'll go down the street to Su Garden. read more

The food and service are outstanding here. We started with the potstickers. They were flavorful. I added some red chili paste/condiment and that made them even more amazing. We then had the mango salad which consists of mangoes, green apples, carrots, red onion and cashews with a fruity refreshing dressing. It was almost as good as dessert. We next had the teriyaki chicken. It's cooked in the sauce so the flavor permeates the chicken. We also had the cashew in red chili paste with chicken. That was delicious. We ended with mango sticky rice. It looks as amazing as it tastes. How do they cut the mangoes that way!? I wish this restaurant is located in the Bay Area. I've been a huge fan of Buddha Thai for YEARS! I went the other day to test out the "new" Buddha Thai. I heard they have new owners and changed up some things on the menu. When I went I saw all new faces working there, yet everyone was still friendly. The food was still great only slightly different than before! Some of the sauces were different some sweeter than usual some more savory. The dishes had a little bit of a different presentation & taste than usual. This will continue to be a go to spot as the food is still delicious. Everything inside the restaurant is completely the same though! We came to Buddha Thai based on a recommendation of a local. We had a group of 6, so we were able to try a range of items from their lunch specials menu. Some got curries, some got stir fry dishes accompanied with rice, and some got noodle dishes. The salad that comes with the lunch specials are the best I've had from Thai restaurants. Often you get a nominal plate of iceberg lettuce with a few whisps of carrots dressed in a thickish dressing. It's okay. But Buddha Thai gives you a small salad of leaf lettuce, cucumber and tomatoe slices, topped with thin carrot spirals dressed in a light, sweetish dressing. The dressing's lighter take is refreshing. The produce is very fresh and the thin carrot spirals are a nice touch. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their lunch. The curries had lots of veggies. While the waiter didn't ask what heat level folks desired, if you want something other than mild you should point it out. The stir fry dishes looked good and the noodle dish had really nice flavor. The noodles could be a bit firmer and more intact. But overall it was a good dish with lots of fresh vegetables. While we came on the late side of lunch (after 2 pm), there were still several tables of patrons besides us. Service was very efficient and we got our food very quickly. Very good!! My local place wasn't open so I headed to Middletown to try Buddha Thai. I had pumpkin curry that was good, full of vegis, and tofu! It was a little thinner than I'm used to but still really good. Chicken satay was delish and the cucumber salad was so fresh. Generally I can rate a place on that alone. Small town Asian food is usually not something I typically trust. This place shocks me, though! It's super tasty and as good as any standard Thai you might find in a city. We've been twice and thoroughly enjoyed our food. The one thing I didn't like was the Orange Chicken. The sauce wasn't great but the chicken was super weird. This place is real jem! We was visiting Hot springs in area and was on way back and decided to stop for dinner and give it a shot! Wow - if I was able to give more then 5 starts I sure will shoot for 10! Menu are big and lots of options- but most of all - FOOD - food is phenomenal!
