Didn't have a cocktail but there were plenty that looked tasty. Everything we had from the bread to the salad with my omelette was top notch. I just wished we'd been hungrier. We will be back to try more options soon

Today, my husband and I came to eat dinner at 5:15. To start, we were greeted with scowls, not given menus, and sat at a dirty table for five minutes, until we finally got up and moved seats. We had been enjoying the local hot springs, and I don't think our leisure attire and wet hair were appealing to the well-aged "hostess." I use that word generously. She repeatedly looked me up and down. The staff was transitioning to dinner, which was fine. However, they clearly had no interest in helping us. We received menus after 10 minutes and were then ignored again. This is not the first time I've had bad service here, and I will never come back. I had a lousy experience about 7 weee ago and was trying to look beyond...We ended up having a lovely $300 dinner at the Calistoga Inn. As Indian Springs and its businesses grow, they clearly have lost the importance of customer service. It used to be a really great spot.

Had plenty of staff check in on me and make sure everything was going well. Pastrami taco was really good! Surprised to see it paired with kimchi but a pleasant surprise and gave me a bit of kbbq vibes. I'm Korean so I think the kimchi could have more bite or be more fermented but it's totally fine. Korean chicken thigh taco also super good. I think it'd be better to have this taco and the pastrami one switch their veggies but the usual black eyed pea slaw with the chicken was great too. Spicy crema could be spicier but that's personal preference and still went with the chicken great. I think the pastrami taco came out on top just by a smidge so I even ordered one more before grabbing my bill. This last taco came a little slower than the others but I wasn't in a rush. Definitely recommend asking for more slaw and kimchi to go with your tacos and make them loadeddd! I'll try to be back to try their larger plates!

My boyfriend and I ordered wine, the artichoke dip, mussels, tagliatelle, 1/2 chicken, and bread pudding. There was a good variety of wine to choose from and the waitress was nice enough to give me a couple samples before ordering a full glass. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! It wasn't as sweet / cinnamon-y as other bread puddings that I've had, but was moist without being soggy and felt like a true homemade recipe. The ambiance was casual yet intimate, and despite being busy, didn't feel crowded or loud. We also appreciated that the wait staff didn't rush us out!

From the moment we arrived, the warmth, friendliness, and deep knowledge of the service staff made the evening feel truly special, and the pacing of the meal was impeccable as it never felt rushed or dragging, just a beautiful flow from course to course. Every single dish was spectacular, with each bite layered with flavor and intention, and the highlight of a night full of highlights was getting to tour the kitchen and even meet the Chef Garcia. At one point I mentioned a particularly delicious fish sauce martini I'd had elsewhere, and our server surprised me by bringing out a small pourer of fish sauce so I could customize my own tasting, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. You can really feel Chef Garcia's experience and talent in how he marries flavors, textures, temperatures, and heat; each course felt like a masterclass in balance and harmony. Given our experience, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Auro awarded a second (or even third) star in the near future.

The evening began with an array of tasty treats which paid homage to chef's Mexican heritage. Followed by a stunning focus on seasonal fishes, where global flavors and modern techniques came together in the most harmonious way. Bright and awakening flavors of the shima aji. Melt-in-your-mouth ora king salmon. Bold flavors balanced with the soft textures of rare seasonal kinki fish. The progression to the land courses was flawless. The 7-day dry-aged coriander crusted duck was a masterpiece with a crispy skin and tender meat. Followed by the 21-day dry-aged Australian Wagyu; smoky, rich, and deep in umami. The meal transitioned into its final act with multiple courses of tantalizing desserts that danced on the palette. The optional wine pairing was perfectly matched with wines from across the globe. Each wine meticulously explained with passion, with pours that were quite generous for Bay Area standards. The entire service team was so kind and knowledgeable, thorougly explaining each dish, in addition to answering our questions. A tour of the kitchen and a conversation with Chef Garcia himself was a delight, offering a glimpse into the passion that drives this kitchen. It's no surprise that Auro has earned its many consecutive Michelin star; the level of execution and creativity is staggering. Congratulations to the entire team at Auro. This was, without a doubt, one of the best meals I've had all year and a dining experience I will remember for a very long time.

We knew immediately this was going to be a special night. We went all in with the chef's prix fixe menu, and it delivered from the very first bite. Warm, homemade dinner rolls -- fragrant with thyme, garlic, and chili flakes, served alongside pillowy whipped butter -- set the tone perfectly. We loved them so much we asked for a second basket without a moment's hesitation. The Sonoma County Organic Salad that followed was nothing short of a revelation: crisp Little Gem lettuce, Pioneer Micro Herbs and edible flowers, beautifully shaved vegetables, whipped fromage blanc, and a Green Goddess dressing that tied it all together with effortless elegance. Perfection is the only word for it. For our entrées, the Petrale Sole Meunière was a masterclass in refined, soulful cooking -- the Costeaux sourdough croutons, potato fondant, haricot verts, and caper beurre noisette working in perfect harmony. And the pork porchetta with nduja? Cooked flawlessly, bold, deeply satisfying, and utterly memorable. We paired the meal with the Valette Rosé of Pinot Noir, which has instantly earned a place among the finest rosés we've ever tasted -- vibrant, nuanced, and a dream with every course. Dessert brought the ItsNotA 'Snickers Bar' and the Almond Frangipane, both executed brilliantly and the ideal sweet finale to an extraordinary meal. Valette isn't just a great restaurant -- it's our new favorite dining destination, full stop. We'll be back, again and again.

Headline: An Unforgettable Birthday Celebration at a Healdsburg Gem…read more We chose Valette for a birthday celebration, and it was, hands down, the best decision we could have made. From the moment we sat down at the best seats in the house, the personal touches were everywhere--even the menu was personalized with the birthday girl's name. The service was impeccable. Our server, Jacob, was a delight; his deep knowledge of the menu helped us navigate our choices, and his expertise in decanting our 2006 Hewitt Cabernet was much appreciated. We started with the only French Champagne offered by the glass, which paired beautifully with the Tsar Nicoulai Osetra Caviar. While the bowl's design made the caviar slightly hard to reach, the flavors were so stunning we found ourselves pining for more. For entrees, the Liberty Farms Duck Breast was a standout--perfectly medium-rare and easily some of the best duck I've ever had. The Prime New York Strip was equally impressive; the meat was so flavorful on its own that the side of sauce Raifort wasn't even necessary. We finished with two delicate cakes and a lovely visit from the owner, who shared some of the restaurant's multi-generational history. We left feeling truly special.
