Great service & food! Quick turn around time & friendly service- it's our go to place

I believe this is now called Cobb Mt Pizza, just FYI. Upon arrival we were greeted immediately. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a clean patio available that was pup friendly. As we looked through the menu we saw that not only is there pizza and pasta but sandos as well! My husband and I went for sandos and started with GF cider and a Cali Squeeze which is not photoed here. The French dip was well stacked and the ajus was packed with beefy flavor. My husband's meatball sandwich, (which we are told the meatballs are made in house), was and I quote: "The best I've ever had." He did say the garlic fries could have more garlic and would have liked to have had parsley included without so much parm but still good. My friend got the pesto pizza and a pup patty for her doggo. She had planned on saving half but couldn't resist eating the whole thing because it was that good! Our server, Karie was knowledgeable about the menu and showed us all the GF options for beers and spirits with great patience and a friendly demeanor. Brick Oven Pizza aka Cobb Mountain Pizza is a nice spot for some tasty gluten free pizza. In early October 2024, I had a mandatory evacuation from my home due to fire. My BFFF/neighbor & I escaped to Cobb and had delicious GF garlic chicken pizza with their amazing white sauce. I feel like I have to return again sometime soon, it was just that good! I've been coming here for years, but haven't been for about 6 months. So tonight I thought I would take my visiting friend to get a bite to eat. We went to go pick up the pizza, and as I got to the counter the girl there, with straight dark blonde hair, glanced up from behind the cash register and stared at me not saying anything, with a rather sour look on her face. I gave her my name, told her I was picking up, and said I want to get a couple of drinks. I asked "what type of wine do you have?" She answered with a sigh, "I have red, white, and Rose." acting like I was bothering her. I asked her what type of Reds and she repeats herself, clearly very irritated, saying she has reds, whites , rose, and then adds on "I have chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, and Shed Horn." She's talking really fast, so I interrupt her and I said "Shed Horn?" And she responds really snarky, "yes we have Shed Horn, it's not a type of wine... it's a brand." (and now I'm wondering wtf is going on?) I said "I know...are saying all the wine is Shed Horn?" She says, "Yes, I just said that". And I ask, "No cab?" She then becomes even more agitated and says repeats herself again "I just told you. We have reds, whites and rose. The red is just a regular plain old red, a (house) red." and then actually went on again repeting herself so I interrupt her and say "just forget about it". She couldn't have been any ruder. Then without saying anything, she rings up the pizza, hands me the cc reciept, which I sign, and give a zero tip for her rudeness. We sat down to wait and when the pizza was ready, she brought it out in a to-go box, set it on the table without saying a word, and walked away. Maybe she also expected a tip for knowing that we decided against eating inside (without saying anything to her) and wanted the food in a box to go? I am always a great tipper but not this time. Because of bad behavior, this girl screwed herself/business out of me buying wine, which would have increased the bill by quite a bit, and a tip. Honestly, every time I have been here the service was A+ and I tipped on average $25 for (usually) $75 in food/drink. Oh, and the pizza? Not bad, but it's certanly not worth putting up with rude, snarky behavior from a server. My friend said she will not be coming back, and I won't either. There are other restaurants on Cobb. Maybe the business owner might want to train their staff. When someone asks for wine (I will use my experience), they want their staff to START OUT saying that they carry only Shed Horn wines. Don't throw in the name "Shed Horn" as you are ratteling off "we carry red, white, rose, Shed Horn... ". It's confusing and forces a person to ask questions to clarify what they are being told. You might want to train your staff to say something like this: Customer: "I see you have wine?" Server: "Yes, we only carry Shed Horn wines. We have Shed Horn chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, rose, and I also carry a Shed Horn red blend made with Zinfandel, Barbera, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a yummy Petite Sirah. It's a really terrific wine and goes great with (fill in the name of the pizza)." Yep, you will probably have to make a cheat sheet, but you will sell a LOT more wine, and that would result in a NICE BIG TIP for your servers, and more food sales. Also train your servers to know who Shed Horn is, so that they can talk up the fact that they're local, etc. More talk is more $$$$. That girl should have had that bill doubled in no time with wine sales. Heck, I would have purchased a bottle of the red blend if she was nicer. But nope. Three stars for pizza, -1 stars for service equals 2 stars. read more

We were on a motorcycle excursion. I thought this would be a nice place. Their online menu said they offered a Philly Cheese steak. When I walked in that was the 1st question I asked. We were informed that they no longer offered sandwiches & salads...Only pizza & beer. OK, We ordered a personal pepperoni, olive, onion, garlic & jalapeño with a couple pale ales. Went to get a cheeseburger here and cashier was very friendly as usual, but as I waited for our food, I saw the cook through the window and watched her carry raw meat onto the stovetop with her bare hands. We made eye contact and she immediately put some gloves on. I was also surprised to see a whole raw shallot and one slice of red onion on my burger. Here are my qualifications: My mother made us Pizza from scratch most Friday nights of our childhood. She involved us in the process. So I have been making pizza for a few decades. I have a certificate in the culinary arts. Was taught to make Sicilian Pizza by my boyfriend's all Italian Grandma. Liven & eatin in San Francisco for 15 years; the home of North Beach, Tommaso's and their 90 year old brick pizza oven was a regular stop. Can you say, 00? I'm a bit of a food snob. Enough about me. I lived in Cobb for a summer and fall. I fell for Brick Oven's Mediterranean Pizza. Truly a wonderful pie. A little salty but that is my only complaint. And with me that's not actually a complaint, more of an observation. I'm writing this review because I just signed on to Yelp to look up the ingredients to make it myself from scratch because I no longer live there. Feeling a little guilty and grateful, I thought the review was due. They have a bit of turnover in staff so my recommendation to management: Keep it consistent, check the work. Well we were off to a good start.. place looks like a friendly local pizzeria spot. When we walked up there is a sign stating masks are mandated. So when we walked in and saw none of the staff wearing masks it was quite a surprise!!! Not only is the hostess greeting people not wearing a mask but no one in the kitchen is wearing one either!!! The kitchen is visible when you walk in. We were really hungry so we ordered anyway.. our pizza came out with not much flavor and burnt. As we asked quickly for our check I looked around and noticed the floor is really dirty and the water they serve taste like sink water. We will not be going back to this pizza place again.
