We visited on a busy Labor Day weekend. The line was long and we were in line for 20 minutes. While you are waiting in line, you can order an alcoholic drink ie. wine or other drink by the line. We ordered our food and they give you a buzzer. We waited another 15 or so minutes to get our food. Make sure you ask for more sauce if you want some. There is plenty of outdoor seating. We ordered Poke tacos and a hamburger with garlic and sweet potato fries. Everything was tasty. They do have restrooms outside in back of the restaurant.
The ultimate post-wine tasting spot in Napa! After spending the afternoon at V. Sattui Winery for my birthday, we drove down to the original Gott's Roadside in St. Helena for a massive dinner. The California burger hit the spot, and the Western Bacon Blue burger with onion rings had an amazing flavor profile. Don't skip the strawberry lemonade or their soft serve cones (the chocolate and swirl are perfect classics). Great outdoor seating, fast service, and legendary food. Highly recommend!
This location, is just so iconic, and wonderful. Good amount of parking. And like other Gott's locations, you order, the find a seat, and wait until your food is ready. When we lived downtown, we used to frequent the Gott's in the ferry building...this location is even better. Ordering is super easy, and there is lots of seating toward the road side, as well as toward the back, where there are lots of picnic tables, and shade. While waiting for our food, the manager was walking around the tables, checking in if people needed anything, and saying hello. This level of service, and care, was really nice. On to the food - the crispy taco, ahi tuna tacos were delightful, with generous portions of ahi, avocado, and a wonderful amount of flavor, in a crispy shell. If you're looking for something other than a burger - highly recommend. We also stopped in here the following night - the milkshakes are outstanding - yum! We will absolutely be back to explore more of the menu!
Out of all the Gott's locations, this has to be my absolute favorite. It's incredibly spacious, all outdoor, and just has really good vibes all-around. I can't believe I haven't shared a review of this spot yet! Friendly staff and just a very well oiled-machine. The Vietnamese Chicken Salad is something to write home about. Served with a Peanut Lime Vinaigrette, the salad has a variety of lettuces, mung beans sprouts, peanuts, crispy fried chicken breast, green onions, pickled red Fresno chiles, and I'm sure I'm missing a few ingredients :) it's so delicious and worthy of its own review. The burgers and onion rings with ranch sauce, always superb. Honestly, never had a bad meal here. The menu also features an Ahi Burger, Cubano Sandwich, and a variety of unique burger options including turkey burgers, Impossible burgers, beef patties, and also Impossible chicken nuggets. There's plenty of other fun sides like chili cheese fries and fried Brussels, and other menu items including tacos, hot dogs, soups, and a kiddo menu. Don't skip out on a shake, NA bevvie, or beer/wine options. On a beautiful future sunny day, a perfect stop when in the area pre/post wine tasting.
My partner and I recently visited Gotts while visiting Napa Valley! We had just finished a wine tasting, and wanted something affordable and quick to eat. Gotts is a "roadside" restaurant that is completely outside, and you walk up and order. The food is extremely casual and prices reflect this. However, the food was extremely delicious. We ordered chicken tenders, burger, milkshake, and fries, and everything we tried was great! We had to wait a bit for our food, maybe 10-15 mins, but it was well worth it. It was busy when we went, so the wait for food may be shorter if the restaurant is less busy. The sitting area outside was extremely casual, with a grassy area filled with picnic tables. If you are looking for something casual, affordable, and still delicious, Gotts is something I would recommend when visiting St. Helena.
We stopped by for a late PM lunch to share because we had dinner plans later and o didn't want to get stuffed. We shared a cheese burger, onion rings and Arnold Palmer. The drink was more lemonade than tea flavor. The burger was alright. Hubby thought it was delish. This from someone who eats burgers like it's going out of style. I didn't think the burger had enough char flavor and there are a couple of other burger chains where I think the burgers taste better but the buns here are good. The onion rings were my favorite part. It's communal type atmosphere so large parties can sit together in picnic tables to eat. The menu is extensive so there something for everyone.
My friends and I stopped by Gott's shortly after they opened on a Saturday morning and there was already a line of about 10 people in front of us. If you want to avoid long lines, you'll definitely want to come early because by the time we left -- around 12:30 p.m., the line had at least doubled in size. Between my wife and I, we shared a slew of different items, including a Green Chile Cheeseburger ($13.99), Garlic Fries ($4.99), Small - 12oz Horchata Shake ($8.99), Onion Rings ($4.99) and an Ahi Burger ($17.99). All of this came out to $50.95 before tax and tip, which felt like a pretty good deal considering how much food we had ordered. Of the sides that we had ordered, I really enjoyed how punchy the garlic flavor was with the fries and how thick and decadent the horchata shake was. Although the onion rings looked promising, some of the rings were so thickly over-battered, they were actually inedible: I had at least a half and inch of batter surrounding a thin onion slice. In hindsight, I should have brought the onion rings back and requested a new order. The green chile cheeseburger was fine, but nothing mind-blowing. The burger patty wasn't especially juicy or that nicely charred, bread to meat ratio felt a little off, and the green chile felt like an afterthought. On the other hand, I quite enjoyed the ahi tuna burger. I really liked how much chopped slaw they had in the burger and the outside had a nice light sear. Temperature of the tuna patty was consistent throughout. Given how infrequently restaurants have ahi tuna burgers on their menu, this is definitely something I would order again. Overall, Gott's is a solid three star for me.

The location is hard to beat, right on the highway just south of downtown St. Helena. The outdoor tables are great, and we always like to sit just behind the back left of the building. I'm firmly convinced the seafood items on the menu are the standouts here. The Ahi Burger is probably the absolute best, but this last visit I had the Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos. The crispy house-made corn shells were fantastic, almost buttery. The tuna was top notch, and the combination of fresh avocado slices with spicy mayo just made these some of the best I've had. My wife had a burger, and she just loved it. It wasn't too messy, and it was sized just right. One of the other treats at Gott's is the fact that they always have Pliny the Elder on tap from Russian River, along with a couple of other great area draft options. It always helps if you don't eat here right around 12-1 PM, especially on the weekends, because this place can get absolutely packed. Even when busy, the cooked-to-order food is delivered in a very reasonable amount of time.
A MUST when visiting the Napa Valley. Perfect stop for lunch after tasting to fill your tummy with deliciousness. Huge, open outdoor, covered and uncovered, dining areas. Picnic style seating. Very clean and spacious. And the best part, beer and wine with your burger!! I chose the daily special which was a chicken parm sandwich with a side of fried mozzarella sticks. Absolutely delicious. The bun, the chicken, the sauce...... yummy!!! The mozzarella sticks were also great. Tested some sweet potato fries with their green ranch and it was the bomb! This place is such a fun and enjoyable quick bite, no frills, kinda place.
Worst place to get food food on the weekend. One would think for a tourist destination they would have figured this out. But NO. They on the weekend would not answer phone. No online delivery. 6 workers standing in the bar why don't make them work? Only way to get food is to wait one hour in scorching heat then one hour to get food. Who wants to WASTE their day. All they care is for people to buy alcohol. Stands everywhere but no food :)
One word to describe these burgers: solid! Gott's is serving up delicious burgers that are perfect after a couple wine tastings. I got the bacon cheeseburger and it's just a really good burger. The meat, cheese, buns, everything was delicious. Highly recommend! It can get busy during lunch so I advise going after peak times. Food: 4.4 Service: 4.1 Ambiance: 4 Marcels foodie score: 4.2
We stopped in to this Gott's location on a sunny March day. It is our first visit to a Gott's. Luckily we got here on the early side before the line management fences were filled with people. We got green chile cheeseburgers and shared fries. We did try the pistachio shake special along with an ice tea. The staff is quick and efficient. Order at the window, take the buzzer and wait. Pickup is around the corner. There are so many tables! I can't imagine what it might be like if most of them are full. The long banquet tables in front of the order window have heaters. Nice on a cool March day. Our food came fairly quickly, though the shake took a bit longer than the food to come out. The burgers were really good. The meat had nice flavor, the produce fresh and crispy, and bun is the perfect texture. The fries were good and great vehicle for the Zab/ketchup combo. That Zab hot sauce is tasty! The pistachio shake was pretty good. The shake could've really used a bubble tea straw to pass the pistachio nuts. There was a distinct pistachio extract flavor in the shake. I got a small soft serve made from organic Straus milk. Yum!
The dogs here are delish! I would come just to eat it again! Perfect meal after wine in Napa :)

Y.U.M.!! The fried green tomatoes are big and cut in quarters so you're bound to fill up. The bomb! March it with a glass of Oinot from the Central Valley or a Paloma. read more
Starving! Leaving from an Oyster n Wine event, slightly inebriated, I was desperate for good food to help bring me back. Here yesterday (Friday) afternoon with no line and an open lot, today (Saturday) afternoon is a complete contrast filled with lots and lots of people with zero parking. The parking lot was packed, the line looked like an amusement park waiting on the most popular ride. It was a 35 minute wait from the end of the entrance to get to the front. 12 minute wait to get our foodThere is tons of seating, with the quantity of people ordering it was not difficult to find a shaded seat. The food is SO GOOD, hence I'm here two days in a row. Veggie burgers are typically dry. HERE, my veggie burger (extra $2) was juicy like a traditional one, with the availability of any burger option. I selected the California ($17.99) - a fried egg, Gruyère cheese, balsamic onion option on a toasted sesame brioche bun. Everything is à la carte, so make sure you order want you want... no combos. The 12oz Oreo shake ($6.99) was yummy yesterday, but I could've sipped a little longer so today it's a 16oz ($8.99). The shake is thick and creamy with lots of cookie pieces. The garlic fries ($4.99) are tossed in garlic butter and parsley. They were a perfect combination of crispy and soft, evenly coated with the right amount of flavor. My husband does not usually favor these and he ate most of them. Would I return, definitely - lines and all. Great service, great food, amazing company I've enjoyed it with every time. read more

This restaurant seems very popular. There is a small parking area on the east side and more parking spot on the west side of the restaurant. We visited around 2:30pm and the line was quite long (about 15-20 mnt). After ordering, we waited around 15 minutes until we got our food. This location only have shaded outdoor seating area. - Texas avocado burger with egg bun: good. The bun was soft and the jalapeno pieces gave a good heat to the dish. The patty was perfectly cooked. - Garlic fries: was okay. The fries were cold when we got them but we didn't bother to exchange it because we were hungry - Kid's cheeseburger: good. Simple & delicious cheeseburger for kids. - Mint choco milkshake: good thick ice cream consistency and it wasn't too overly sweet read more

caNOTT go wrong with GOTT. We arrived on sunny Tuesday afternoon for a late lunch, and were not surprised by the long line that greeted us. The line moved decently fast, waited for about 15 mins. We ordered a burger, a teriyaki chicken sandwich, the tuna poke tacos and a spicy tomato soup (to warm the soul). A orange float and fries, cause why not... We found a warm spot under a space heater and waited patiently. The food came out piping hot, fresh and scrumptious. I can't really fault anything here, everything tasted phenomenal, the chicken sandwich was really good too! Best part, the prices have not jumped like other spots. I wish the Palo Alto location could achieve the same quality of food, but they consistently fail, pity. read more
Gott's Roadside is the perfect spot to hit after dropping $$$ on those shops and wineries in St. Helena. They're a bit pricey but it's way better than paying $30+ for food at nearby restaurants. Gott's offers burgers, tacos, chicken tenders, shakes, wine, beer and more! It's the perfect place for picky eaters. Their most notable foods to me are the garlic fries and the ahi poke tacos! Highly recommend! The ahi tacos are crispy with fresh tuna and 'cado; a great healthy option. The fries are thin and have fresh garlic garnished on top. The regular fries are just as good, too. I've had their burger in the past and it's okay, nothing to complain about, but not memorable. They have a separate area off to the side that offers alcohol and dessert. Definitely try out their soft serve and shakes to balance out the savory food. The seating is mainly outdoor, covered and non. They have plenty of seating at the back of restaurant, too. Lots of tourist come here on buses, but no issues with seating when we went on a Sunday. My fam and I were able to get a parking spot right outside their small lot. They have restrooms at the back of the restaurant with a big sink outside to wash up after indulging in their food and drinks. Overall, great option to get lunch out whilst in the area. Prices are right and service was quick despite them being so busy. Check them out if you're in the area! read more

Gotts is the Bomb. Always great . I have never had a bad meal at Gotts in 15 years. Tacos are great and burgers are awesome. Great selection for wine as well, and we aren't talking 2 buck chuck. read more

My wife's cousin's son was getting married on Friday in St. Helena. We were invited but unable to attend the wedding. We were also invited to attend the pre-wedding dinner at Gott's, which we were able and happy to attend. The gathering was for about 40 people, was held in a private section was set aside for us with picnic tables and a hosted bar. Each table also had 1oz packages of ketchup and 2 oz serving cups of a green sauce that went well on just about everything including the fries. There were individual BBQ trays set up with napkins and forks giving everyone lots of space to spread out. On top of the tray was a menu of the evening's food. The first dishes were individually served in deli trays, hors d'oeuvre style. There were Mini Avocado and Mini Ahi Poke Tacos. After a couple of rounds of those came Citrus & Avocado Chop and Chicken Kale Caesar Salads. Entrees were 1/2 Cheeseburgers, 1/2 California Chicken Sandwiches and a third choice that I no longer remember. These were accompanied by trays of Fries and Onion Rings. The meal finished off with soft serve ice cream with either Chocolate or Caramel Sauce. For beverages, I had Diet Coke but there was also House Iced Tea, Lemonade, Arnold Palmers, Red & White Wine, Beer and other soft drinks. Everything that we tasted was good and we could see stopping by here when on a road trip. Service was very good. All of the staffers worked to make sure we had plenty of food and kept the tables clean of empty containers and debris. One young man was kind enough to ask and then bring our dog a vanilla pup cup. read more

We visited Napa Valley yesterday for a wine-tasting trip and stopped at Gott's for lunch. Since our group was quite hungry, we ordered the California Burger, Kimchi Burger, and Western Bacon Blue Ring Burger, along with fries, onion rings, and sweet potato fries. The food was good overall, though nothing particularly stood out. What impressed us most was the ambiance and service. The venue is spacious and can comfortably accommodate large groups like ours of 25 people. Despite the busy lunch crowd, the staff handled orders efficiently, and the service was fast and organized. A great spot for groups looking for a convenient and comfortable dining experience in Napa. read more

If you're taking a trip to Napa and don't stop at Gott's, are you even really in Napa? I stopped here after a morning of wine tasting and honestly, it was the perfect lunch . The burgers are juicy, smoky grilled flavor, -- I went for the burger, the burger being cooked medium well kinda threw me off but the garlic fries were crispy and addictive. The vibe is relaxed and fun..picnic tables, families and their pets. I read it can get busy, especially on weekends, but the staff was handling the rush like pros. Orders come out fast, and everything feels fresh and made-to-order. All in all, I see what the hype is for Gott's read more

I was passing through St.Helena last weekend so I figured it was a perfect time to finally try Gott's. It was pouring rain but the line was still pretty long, so I knew the food would be worth it. Once we got in line it moved pretty quickly, about 15 minutes. The man working the counter greeted us and answered all of our questions since it was our first time there. We ordered burgers, sweet potato fries and the hot honey tenders, and they handed us a buzzer so we knew when our food was ready. The wait didn't take long, but finding a dry spot on the patio was a challenge since everybody had gathered by the outdoor heat lamps. Once I got settled and I started eating I was relieved to find the food lived up to the hype. I got the Western bacon blue burger and the flavors worked really well together. The blue cheese was a little strong for my taste and slightly overpowered the burger, but that's just a personal preference. The sweet potato fries were crisp and the dipping sauce provided paired really well with them. I was able to try a bite of the hot honey tenders and they were delicious as well. Overall it was a great experience and definitely worth the stop!! read more

Food was good! I loved the tacos, they had a hot honey glaze but came with street corn. Loved it. We got the classic double burger. Husband loved it, beef patties were great portions. Personally I would have preferred more burger sauce- I felt the meat was a pinch too dry. Peach cobbler ice cream parfait was good- loved the soft serve, loved the cobbler pieces, but the peach was kinda sour- maybe needed some cinnamon and a tiny bit of brown sugar. Haven't been here in years. Finally stopped by on a Saturday late afternoon. A small line but moved fast. Parking was ok. I was able to find parking fairly quickly I always order the ahi burger & was excited to enjoy it again but it's different this time. I didn't think it taste as good as before. We went to Gott's in Saint Helena and ordered the specialty pineapple burger. It was delicious! It was perfectly prepared medium rare with pineapple and onions. The bun was fresh and tasty. We ordered a side of sweet potato fries. They were perfectly crisped and seasoned. Finally, we also ordered the specialty shake, which was chocolate peanut butter and Reese's peanut butter cups. It was sinfully rich. The combination of chocolate and peanut butter cannot be beat. Did I also mention the staff was very friendly and there were several different outdoor places to sit at. Overall, Gott's gets 5-stars and I wish they were also located where I live in Florida. read more
I've been to Gott's a few times over the years, but always at the Napa location. First time visit to the St Helena location, and I definitely prefer this one. Not that the Napa location is bad, but I just enjoy the layout of this one more. While both locations are equally busy and delicious, St Helena has much more room. No indoor seating like Napa, but plenty of benches and shade. More than enough room for the kiddos and pets to run around (turf/pavement). No issue getting a seat even though they were busy. You can even get a drink while waiting in line. Food was incredible as always. I've always gotten the California Burger in the past, which I love, but I wanted something different. Decided to try the Green Chile Burger and it was wonderful. All the ingredients blend nicely and the green chile adds a nice touch of spice. Not too spicy, but you get just enough. My Son did get the Cali Burger, and he enjoyed his as well. Garlic Fries were a nice addition. Mint Shake for the Son got a thumbs up, also. Overall, a no doubt 5-Star visit! read more

Burger was very good. Fries aren't the biggest for sharing. Also had the teriyaki chicken tenders, which the breading was so crispy and light. Juicy chicken too. read more
Gott's is almost on par with the many great fast casual restaurants in the Bay Area, but a lack of vegetarian add-ons and unfortunate execution (failing to withhold peanuts) makes it a lesser dining destination. The irony about the vegetarian offerings is that their menu is jam-packed with strong mains, but when it comes to salad customization, you can remove the chicken, but can't replace it with anything vegetarian (tofu would be especially apt in the Vietnamese Chicken Salad). That said, I have to give them mad props for actually reducing the price when removing the chicken--unheard of! In the pro category, I love that you can modify the dishes when ordering, including changing the dressing to be fish-free, but in doing so, they failed to keep peanuts off the dish (there was a small pile of them at the bottom of the bowl). Though I am not allergic to peanuts, I dislike them, but needless to say that could be a huge liability with a different customer. Ultimately, I want to like Gott's more than I do. They are so close to being the exact genre of eatery I frequent, but fall just short. Small adjustments and attention to detail would get them there. read more

Some of the best burgers I've had in a while! My only gripe is the price. The burger is expensive for what it is, and the sides are extra. I ordered the Gruyère and caramelized onion burger and it was amazing after a day of wine tasting. My partner orders a double cheeseburger and it looked so good! The hummus was good, and their garlic fries were tasty too. Ordered a hot dog for my daughter and honestly, I'd get it again. I would come back again, even if the prices are kinda hefty lol read more

Stopped for burgers after a day of tastings. Excellent burgers and sandwiches here. Very lively patio, clean tables with plenty of seating. Staff was lovely and helpful. Appreciated that they have two counters where you can order drinks and shakes, rather than having to wait in the whole line again. Would recommend for a casual dinner night, no need for reservations, and a good spot for groups. read more
