We came back yesterday, and it was just as amazing as we remembered it. Those tacos are to die for. We also had some housemade tortilla chips and I couldn't even stop eating them after I was full. I love the hometown vibe here. Would return every day if I didn't live in another county!

Woman owned business! Rachel a.k.a. Ray Ray opened her restaurant after acquiring a local following at the Farmers Market. She is the chef and the waitress, busser and everything else! Family helps out when short staffed, and you can find her husband Josh behind the register! The menu includes all day breakfast tacos, churro pancakes, the ever popular chilaquiles, specialty tacos, salads and more. Many vegetarian & vegan choices! Everything is fresh! Named after women family members and legendary women who made history! MUST ORDER: chips and guacamole!! Best EVER. Prove me wrong. We had the quesobirria tacos and a fresh and light taco salad. Beans were not heavy, but smooth and simple. The rice tasted like authentic Mexican made rice. Lots of food! The tables have historical fun facts. Self serve water and salsa bar. Clean, open and big tables. 100% recommend! Meet the family, support local and fill your belly! Buy a hat!

Loved this spot! So cute! We were here maybe a year ago and saw that they had just opened. We wanted to go but didn't get a chance to make it work. Stopped by for quick lunch on Thursday around noon. So many great options! Breakfast taco menu is available all day. I was tempted by them but we ended up getting the quesabirria tacos instead. 3 tacos that had perfectly melted cheese with well seasoned brisket. The vegan refried beans were delicious - what's the secret to making it vegan and so yummy??? The side rice was good too. Our friends had some tacos and drinks. They loved it too! Super clean bathroom. Self service salsa and water. Loved all of it and can't wait to go back!

Our favorites: Bidy & Florence tacos, 3 Amigas dips and chips and the Lady (something) salad.

Doing a dog sit in Oakville and knew we had to revisit Ray Ray's! Lucky us, Rachel was there today. We had: Lady Bird Salad, Florence taco (vegetarian), Biddy taco and 3 Amigas dips and chips. We have enough leftovers for another meal. As always, the flavors are fantastic and the portions plentiful.

    Interior wide shot.

Great staff and friendly! I ordered one taco, the brisket with cucumber slaw and pomegranate seeds. I really liked the soft shell and how they grilled it. Hit the spot during the in-between afternoon hours. The venue is cafeteria style but very clean and spacious. Right on the main road. Affordable! Ideal place to stop if you like tacos and need to grab a quick bite. They had vegetarian options.

After a long journey from Virginia, my fiancé and I were happy to make it to St. Helena. We were looking for a quick dinner option that wouldn't break the bank and Ray Ray's Tacos was the spot for us. You order up front at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. On our visit, I ordered the Florence taco and the Angelina taco. The carnitas in the Angelina was really nice. I also adored all the veggies and how they were cooked in the Florence. My fiancé got the Carnitas Tacos (which was the priciest thing on the menu for $20). They were pretty good. I kept stealing the guac it came with. This is a really cute and charming restaurant. I loved all the seating options available both inside and outside. We chose to sit outside. I loved all the people watching. Things close early here, so it was nice to find this taco spot in time. They had one single gender neutral restroom here. It's a great stop for a quick, casual, and affordable place to eat.

We were visiting on a vacation to go see wineries and my husband found this gem! Of course we love tacos, but this place hit the spot! You don't always want something super heavy and this place had all the flavors and everything tasted fresh. The green salsa was my fave! Mamas: YES! They have a changing table for changing the baby. Great work @Ray Ray! Get a few tacos, chips & guac an and drink and your tummy will thank you. Prices were reasonable and we were able to find a parking spot pretty close on the street around the corner. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but I chose the window seating so we could look outside. I wish they had this place near my home, it was delicious!

    Penny's queso and large chips

Order: Biddy, Angelina, Penny's queso, and large chips. At first glance, I was surprised that the total came to $32. It felt a bit steep, especially with one taco priced at over $8. The **Biddy** was good. I really enjoyed the fresh vegetables, and the shredded brisket with pomegranate on top added a refreshing twist. The **Angelina**, however, stole the show. The carnitas were cooked to perfection, and the flavors came together beautifully. Their hottest salsa was a pleasant surprise--both incredibly spicy and packed with flavor. It elevated everything I paired it with. As for the chips and queso, they were outstanding. I added a bit of the hot salsa to the queso for an extra kick, and it was perfect. Not a single bite was left behind. **Tacos:** 8.1 **Chips and Queso:** 8 Overall, while the price is on the higher side, the quality makes it worth it. I'd definitely go out of my way to eat here again!

I came up to St Helena this morning to just explore, when I noticed this place and a sign that said breakfast tacos! Now, one thing about me, I discovered breakfast tacos a few years back, while in Austin, and have feverishly searched for them in the Bay with zero luck. So, obviously I had to pop in! I ordered the Dolores with brisket, and my only regret is that it was so filling that I could only eat the one! It was so filling and absolutely delicious! My only suggestion would be if the cheese were melty, but that's me nitpicking! I can't wait to come back! Also, worth a mention that the lady at the register was very sweet and helpful in walking me through the various salsas.

4.5 Super visit. Quick service. Simple ambiance. Tried a variety of tacos. All weee super tasty. Well prepared and simple but tasty! I had the Camilla and it was filled with scrambled eggs and a couple of slices of avocado. The other tacos were excellent too. I think this is a 5 star spot...soon at new location I highly recommend this place!

First time I've been to the place. They seem to do a lot of carry out food. Plenty of eating space to sit down and relax. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Nice variety of items to choose from even if you're vegetarian. What we got was fresh crisp just exactly where we were looking for.

Now that Ray Ray's has a brick and mortar location in downtown St Helena, and is open 5 days a week for breakfast and lunch (even early dinner pickup on Thurs-Sat) we finally had an opportunity to head in and chow down. We headed in for early breakfast and were joined by friends, totaling a party of 6. The special that day was Churro Pancakes... So, we had to order normal breakfast tacos and split the special :) The place is simple, clean and neat with seating on indoor picnic tables (a couple of small tables are streetside). Coffee is fresh and strong, plenty of drink, options displayed on the counter, including the fabulous Pott Wines. Our tacos were fresh and delicious and the pancakes should be illegal! Service was fast and friendly. Great little breakfast or lunch spot!

This place is amazing! Nothing fancy unless perfection is fancy. Ray Ray's is flat out delicious. And the people are so kind and really helpful with insights and recommendations. If you're looking for breakfast tacos, look no further. No disrespect to Texas breakfast tacos, but this blows them away. The dining room is simple and clean and there are a couple of small tables on the sidewalk as well. In addition to the tacos, they have a few simple sides, soft drinks, beer and wine. Ray Ray's is the deal.

Azteca Market seems like THE place locals go to when they want legit taqueria fare specifically menudo and offal filled tacos. Their St. Helena location opened over 20 years ago and their Napa location followed a decade later. This is the only location with seating (outdoors only). Part market and part taqueria, there's three lines: meat counter (chicharrón by the lb!), taqueria, and market. After ordering at the meat counter or taqueria, you need to go to the market line to pay. You're then given a number and your number will be called outside at the pick-up window. M E N U Typical taqueria staples: Street tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos, tortas, etc. They give you one container of your choice of salsa (pico, roja, verde, avocado, or habanero) and charge 50 cents for additional salsa. While working in St. Helena, I could never find an opening in a reservation, so here was a great opportunity now that all of us are retired. Our friends live in Clear Lake while we live in Vallejo, so this is a central place to meet. It was the best decision I made because every year for the past several anniversaries, we've gone to Cache Creek to C2. Their food and service is excellent because my husband enjoys poker, but I thought a change of scenery would be nice. And it was! Firstly, it was very kind of the staff to present us with a greeting card signed by everyone -- how sweet and thoughtful! We will cherish that! Secondly, we were very impressed with how the food/wine was locally sourced. It was incredible to hear the story about Custom, the Bull, and taste the difference between the Highland beef compared to Angus. Our waitress was "Erica S." She was engaging, personable, and very informative. My husband and I would definitely like to return to return to experience the dinner menu! We and our guests had the following dishes: Artichoke appetizer Arbororio Biscuits & Gravy Two Cheeseburgers Three Bloody Mary's Farmstead Margarita When they found out it was our anniversary celebration, the house sent over four glasses of complimentary champagne and a dish of dessert -- again, very sweet and kind of them I now understand why so many crowds flock to this restaurant! From the beginning, there seemed to be constant miscommunication between staff. We specifically booked an outdoor reservation and were seated inside instead. While mistakes happen, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The bigger issue involved the wine and corkage fee. We purchased a bottle directly from the market associated with the restaurant and were told by the employee there that the corkage fee would be waived if we bought their wine. When we sat down, our server Sara told us that was not true and that we would still have to pay the fee. I explained what we had been told, and when she asked if I wanted a manager involved, I said yes. Before the manager even arrived or clarified the situation, the server opened our bottle of wine. In the silence and confusion, I reasonably assumed the fee issue had been resolved. Then the manager came over and told us we would still be charged and implied that nobody at the market would have told us otherwise. The way it was handled made my husband and I feel like we were being accused of making the whole thing up, which was especially upsetting on Mother's Day. At that point, the bottle was already opened, so we were essentially stuck paying the fee regardless. Between being seated incorrectly, the poor communication between employees, and how dismissive the situation felt, the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special meal. The rest of the service we felt ignored and there was minimal effort to accommodate. Great food alone is not enough to justify returning when the hospitality experience feels this frustrating and unprofessional.
