    wet sloppy mess
    Shakira H.

everything arrived from DoorDash as a wet mess. It wasn't the DoorDash's fault. It was whoever put the food together. They put all of the sauces together. It looked like soup literally everything and as I tried to make the best of it and use a fork to eat it a big blonde hair emerged. It was so disgusting and unsanitary.

Solid small Mexican joint in a strip mall. Get your tacos then shop or the other way around. Generous portions, the plates come with rice and beans and the burritos are huge. The staff are friendly and efficient. It gets busy at lunch with a mix of locals and construction crews. The quality has kept up over the years and the patio out front on warm days is the best.

Cutest restaurant! The decor was super cute. Salsa was off the hook but you had to pay extra for the chips and salsa but that was ok. I ordered the rancheras enchiladas and my friend ordered the chile relleno and enchilada. Portions were gigantic! We saw a burrito come out for another table and were amazed. Chicken was a tad dry in the enchilada but tasty. Lots of Cotija cheese which was excellent. Chile rellenos were super good and the sauce was very good. Used the leftover on the rice. The staff was nice and came by the table to ask how we were doing. This was very nice as they are set up like a taqueria where you order and pay at the counter then someone brings out the food. If I'm in Napa again I'd totally come back here. Their menu is extensive and they even have breakfast. Good spot!

The food at the Napa location never disappoints. I have tried both Vacaville and St Helena locations and once would not go back to them. They are renovating and opening up a bar- they have limited cocktails right now in the mean time so that's very exciting for locals!

I've been going to Villa Corona since I could remember, they used to be a smaller location & they had a van that would deliver bread to Calistoga always the best memory for me. My parents would take us there to eat on Sunday's the food was always authentic and delicious. Unfortunately I haven't been to this location in a long time but every time I go to Napa I try to stop by. Friday, was one of those days. Unfortunately the good was met, and to my surprise there was yellow cheese on my sopes I literally was WTF!! I've never seen that before instead of using authentic quesos I get yellow cheese what is this taco bell . Very disappointed, I'm not sure if the same family owns it but yellow cheese should NEVER be on mexican food period. My food was tasteless but my agua de Jamaica was good. Service was good but I didn't like the busses sweeping next to me while I was eating.

I love great neighborhood Mexican restaurant! It's consistently prepares their dishes with fresh ingredients and staff is efficient. We regularly order enchiladas, sopes, burritos and on weekend the menudo! Love the interior design walled with Mexican paintings and artifacts!

    Chili Verdi Burrito
    Dawna M.

This is my second review of their Chili Verdi burrito & it will be my last. So on Villa Coronas menu there is a Chili Verdi Burrito, however they should either rename it, take it off the menu OR actually put chili Verdi in the burrito. Both times i have received a tortilla filked with black beans & white rice and the verdi sauce with very little shreds of pork. I have not seen any chunks of pork or cheese( paid extra) in my burrito. The tortilla both times is gummy & slimy not appetizing at all. The service was good, I ordered through door dash, no problem there. Overall disappointing... If you choose to eat at the restaurant they have indoor/outdoor seating, you can order at the counter or at your table. Parking is ok also..

The restaurant has a counter-service setup where you order first and then find a table, but the layout is a bit tough. There isn't really any free space to stand and review the menu before getting in line without completely blocking the way. I ended up ordering an almond croissant and the loaded chorizo potatoes. I was so excited for the potatoes since it combines three of my favorite things: potatoes, hollandaise, and chorizo. Unfortunately, the taste just didn't live up to the presentation. The chorizo tasted nothing like traditional chorizo, almost like a completely different meat. The dish was heavily doused in sauce that it totally overpowered the flavor. I didn't even manage to eat half of the serving. The saving grace was definitely the almond croissant, which was delicious. It was perfectly buttery yet crispy, and topped with just the right amount of almonds and chocolate. Overall, I think the main breakfast dishes are worth skipping. I don't think I would return here for a meal, but if I had to come back, I would strictly stick to their pastries.

Then I saw they had the gravalax salmon that I wanted to try. I always get the bagel and lox when a restaurant has it. Living in Illinois it's far and few between. So that was exactly what I ordered. Of course it's right in the heart of downtown so it was perfect for after dinner stroll. We had an early reservation which when we arrived, majority of the tables were empty. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. A few tables along the front patio as well as a bigger sectioned outdoor patio along the side of the restaurant. Indoor is just one big room. There's a bar counter but I don't remember if you can utilize it. Our waitress was a major doll. The sweetest ever and very friendly. Made sure that we were well taken cared off the whole time. Menu wise for both drinks and food was quite nice. I think we were all wined out after the afternoon tasting....lol... So a little cocktail here and there was tried. Food wise, there was a big group so a bunch of starters was had to share. The pork belly was delicious, small but tasty. It was basically just enjoying a nice thick piece of bacon with roasted apples with a glaze. That was a favorite amongst everyone. Prosciutto and burrata with grilled strawberries and micro greens and a balsamic glaze. You can't go wrong with burrata, it was delicious. The cast iron corn bread with lavender honey was another favorite. Something so simple yet so delicious. There was another dish in a grape leaves but I don't remember ordering it. It was tasty. Also, I could have sworn we ordered the beet salad but didn't get it...lol... Could be wrong. Anyways, starters were nice. Entrees, another mix of everything had. We each ordered our own but ended up passing things around to share. The duck confit didn't sound that interesting but someone ordered it and it was quite delicious. Think that was the best dish out of everything we had. The steak and fries were good, did like the seasoning used for the fries. The shrimp boil was ok, sort of flavorless in my opinion. Potatoes, sausage, bell peppers, onions, corn, shrimp tossed in a lobster broth. It was good but lacking some seasoning. Not your traditional shrimp boil as you would think with the loaded seasoning. Roasted chicken with the wild spring vegetables and wild rice pilaf. It's chicken, decent and moist. Still pretty tasty. The halibut with the roasted mix veggies. Nice piece of meat cooked nicely. Classic gnocchi in basil pesto, simple but good. The short rib which I believe was the special. A few piece of meat, with mashed potatoes, grilled onions and corn on the cob. It was good, meat was tender and flavorful. Also a side order of the onion rings which was also a favorite. Nice thick piece with grated Parmesan. Of course we still had to get dessert after all that. Two different one, the cheesecake with fresh fruit and the shortbread cake with creme and fruit. Both were quite tasty and a nice way to finish off a meal even though we were full. Overall, the service was top notch. Service was amazing and our waitress was a major doll. The sweetest and friendliest. Made us feel so welcomed. Drinks, quite good. Food, there was some hit and misses. We did enjoy ourselves and had a nice time. Location is amazing in the heart of downtown. I believe everything is street parking. Another place off the list.
