    wet sloppy mess
    Shakira H.

everything arrived from DoorDash as a wet mess. It wasn't the DoorDash's fault. It was whoever put the food together. They put all of the sauces together. It looked like soup literally everything and as I tried to make the best of it and use a fork to eat it a big blonde hair emerged. It was so disgusting and unsanitary.

Solid small Mexican joint in a strip mall. Get your tacos then shop or the other way around. Generous portions, the plates come with rice and beans and the burritos are huge. The staff are friendly and efficient. It gets busy at lunch with a mix of locals and construction crews. The quality has kept up over the years and the patio out front on warm days is the best.

Cutest restaurant! The decor was super cute. Salsa was off the hook but you had to pay extra for the chips and salsa but that was ok. I ordered the rancheras enchiladas and my friend ordered the chile relleno and enchilada. Portions were gigantic! We saw a burrito come out for another table and were amazed. Chicken was a tad dry in the enchilada but tasty. Lots of Cotija cheese which was excellent. Chile rellenos were super good and the sauce was very good. Used the leftover on the rice. The staff was nice and came by the table to ask how we were doing. This was very nice as they are set up like a taqueria where you order and pay at the counter then someone brings out the food. If I'm in Napa again I'd totally come back here. Their menu is extensive and they even have breakfast. Good spot!

The food at the Napa location never disappoints. I have tried both Vacaville and St Helena locations and once would not go back to them. They are renovating and opening up a bar- they have limited cocktails right now in the mean time so that's very exciting for locals!

I've been going to Villa Corona since I could remember, they used to be a smaller location & they had a van that would deliver bread to Calistoga always the best memory for me. My parents would take us there to eat on Sunday's the food was always authentic and delicious. Unfortunately I haven't been to this location in a long time but every time I go to Napa I try to stop by. Friday, was one of those days. Unfortunately the good was met, and to my surprise there was yellow cheese on my sopes I literally was WTF!! I've never seen that before instead of using authentic quesos I get yellow cheese what is this taco bell . Very disappointed, I'm not sure if the same family owns it but yellow cheese should NEVER be on mexican food period. My food was tasteless but my agua de Jamaica was good. Service was good but I didn't like the busses sweeping next to me while I was eating.

I love great neighborhood Mexican restaurant! It's consistently prepares their dishes with fresh ingredients and staff is efficient. We regularly order enchiladas, sopes, burritos and on weekend the menudo! Love the interior design walled with Mexican paintings and artifacts!

    Chili Verdi Burrito

This is my second review of their Chili Verdi burrito & it will be my last. So on Villa Coronas menu there is a Chili Verdi Burrito, however they should either rename it, take it off the menu OR actually put chili Verdi in the burrito. Both times i have received a tortilla filked with black beans & white rice and the verdi sauce with very little shreds of pork. I have not seen any chunks of pork or cheese( paid extra) in my burrito. The tortilla both times is gummy & slimy not appetizing at all. The service was good, I ordered through door dash, no problem there. Overall disappointing... If you choose to eat at the restaurant they have indoor/outdoor seating, you can order at the counter or at your table. Parking is ok also..

GREAT veggie burrito. Amazingly seasoned veggies and a super spicy hot sauce collection. Definitely head there if you are in the Napa area!

It helped that one of the workers came out with a megaphone and explained how everything works and the history behind it being the oldest building in Napa. Hearing the stories behind the restaurant while tasting dishes that have been enjoyed for generations makes for something far more memorable than just a meal. The guacamole was the best I've ever had, fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. The salsas were light yet flavorful, and the corn was delicious. The presentation was minimalistic but still managed to stand out. The carne asada tacos were a generous portion, and the fresh tortillas made all the difference. What really stood out was that everything was made from scratch, and you could truly taste the care and quality in every bite. The hot chocolate was wonderful and is a must try if you enjoy a rich cinnamon hot chocolate. Experiencing the oldest restaurant in Napa is incredibly special, and it's a place that captures the heart and soul of the valley. A must visit for anyone looking to enjoy not only great food, but also a piece of Napa's history.

Date of Reservation Saturday, June 6…read more The Food I'll start with the highlights: the food here was absolutely great. Everything our table ordered was delicious, cooked perfectly, and well-presented. The kitchen definitely knows what they are doing. The Service Unfortunately, the dining experience was really let down by how rushed we felt. Throughout the night, it felt like the front-of-house staff was on a mission to flip our table as fast as possible. Servers were constantly hovering and picking up plates while half of our group was still actively eating. It reached a point where one of my friends was practically interrogated about whether she was finished. They kept coming back to check on her plate so many times that she eventually just gave up, got annoyed, and told them to just take it away before she was even done. It's hard to enjoy great food when you feel like an inconvenience or a timer is ticking down. I'd love to come back for the flavors, but the staff needs to let guests actually breathe and enjoy their meals.

The nachos were really good, I wish I had asked for an extra side of salsa because all of the flavor/meat was on the top and the bottom of the bowl was just beans, still delicious but could have used more flavor. The chicken taquitos were also really good! We got 4 margaritas and two food items for $66 before tip, not bad for Napa! I'm not sure if the happy hour time is purely for winter but happy Hour from 11:30am-6pm is a great way to get the locals in!!

It's a small and casual operation - there's a large seating area behind the restaurant with self serve water. Limited parking out front, and the back lot (with the seating) also has some space for parking, but it's not hard to find parking in the surrounding area. The food here is awesome - deep flavors and genuinely a ton of craft in their work (tamales and tortillas made fresh, you can see them making it through the window by the register). The food is pretty classic, but just executed so well - I really don't think you can go wrong. My personal favorites are the mole enchiladas / tamales (gently sweet, smoky mole, not overly chocolatey and really balanced, especially with a side of pickles) and the fish tacos (GIGANTIC).

I felt it had all the components to be successful. I liked the texture of the batter. It also wasn't plain so that was nice. Good ingredients and flavors for sure. What came up short was the ratio of batter to fish. Way too much batter for the amount of fish. Also it was totally the wrong fish for the batter. Way too soft. I don't know how you eat these in the restaurant but they are a mess. If I'm paying almost twenty bucks for fish tacos. I think I might expect slightly more elegance. Menu did look very interesting. Tannyas charges $4 for stale rock hard cold corn chips and charge for extra salsa. No refills! I wouldn't even mind paying for chips and salsa if it was good, but it just wasn't at all. Not BAD but ive had better at home or from the grocery store. The burrito was fairly small. Super Average filled with subpar bland spanish rice & refried beans. Carnitas was dried out.
