I walked in didn't phone my order in because grandson wanted to play in the arcade. The service person was very friendly explains it would be an hour before pizza was done. I had no problem with it. Iordered a large half cheese and other half pineapple. W hen I got home the pizza was burnt.The whole top was dark brown and the pizza skin was stiff as a board. it was a dark golden brown. When I went back the next day I was told because I walked in and paid cash there was no record of it therefore there was nothing they would do. Very disappointed on how the situation was handled. Pizza is good, attitude and service NOT so much ! Just ordered a Large Combo from DJ's, cost me $50. I requested a Dozen Parmesan packets, because I know how small theirs are. I got FOUR ! So I called them on the phone, and the Shift Manager chuckled and said "We don't give 12 packets to ANYone..." They just lost a VERY Long Time customer !!! If I pay half-a-hundred for a pizza, I expect to get what I ask for. When you go to the 'store' you get a shaker FULL of Parm, and you can load up the pie to your hearts and tastes content. But I guess having it delivered makes you a lesser person, even though they wasted a rather big paper bag to put FOUR 4/10th Oz packets in... And I don't appreciate being laughed at ! And one more thing... I've lived in this area for around 40 years, even before it was DJ's, back in the day when it was Larsen's, and if your fav pie is Hawaiian, don't get it here (Round Table in Lakeport rocks)... Dysfunctional. I ordered pizza on line approx 5:30. I received Email my pizza ready for pick up between 6:07 and 6:17. I got there at 6:15 and waited till 6:58 for pizza . Staff was behind counter eating and drinking soda. No one bothered to ask If I would like a complimentary salad or a drink while I waited. Get it together. There were other customers waiting for their orders as well. Perhaps by another oven so you can keep up with orders. read more

It's hard to find quality locally owned pizza, and I'm glad DJ's Pizza is an option. I moved away for 15 years and haven't had it since back in the day, I have to say that I was not disappointed at all with the quality, and quantity of toppings. Perfectly cooked with a nice crisp. I ordered 4 different types of pies Meatataria , Combination, Polynesian, and a custom Double pepperoni, double cheese. The only complaint is a personal choice of mine, I like a sweeter sauce. But well worth trying them and making it your regular go to pizza! read more

This is my second visit to DJ's, and I think the pizza was even better this time, even though the pizza was delicious last time too. I don't know what it is, but this pizza just has that classic "pizza parlor taste." I got a pepperoni and sausage with extra cheese, light bake, with some garlic bread, and all were eaten with not a crumb to spare. That's rare! This cheese goes all the way to the crust and the bread is thin enough to not be too much but still not too hard or cardboard-y. It's just right. There is no other pizza place that makes their pizza this tasty and like the real deal. I've tried the other two parlors in the area and their pizza tastes like store-bought stuff. DJ's, on the other hand, is so good. It's not too pricy, either, because you get a generous portion and decent toppings too. All in all, I highly recommend DJ's. They know their pizza! read more

We love dj's. They have a great variety of pizzas and probably the best pizza place on this side of the lake. There's plenty of seating inside, a couple video games for the kids, and staff is always accommodating. They do not have the salad bar open and I'm hoping that changes soon. read more

The Director of our tribe's ICWA program, Ursula Simon Asked me to teach the kids how to make pizza, and of course I did. I did not want to make the crust for up to 20 kids, so I called DJ's Pizza. Without hesitation my question was answered with a very polite of course we can. I ordered on Thursday and picked them up at 1pm on Friday. Rushed back to the Youth Center in Middletown. The kids seemed to have fun and said their mini pizza was delicious. Each child from 5-17 and some adults made their own. The Crust was amazing. When a good pizza skin is taken from the fridge it should basically stay round be a consistent thickness and the right amount of flour so it doesn't stick to the wax paper. The restaurant was very clean. I am old , so I had to use the restroom, it also was very clean. While waiting for my turn , people came in and were handed their pizza and thanked by name. The atmosphere was very friendly and inviting. I know I have gone into businesses and did not feel welcomed or welcome at all. My order took over an hour and half to complete 2 pizzas (30mins longer than the original estimate). No offer to comp ot discount the pizza, just "here's half the pizza you already paid for". Called in a phone order, waited in the area for 40min to pick up the pizza. Once my husband arrived to pick up, he was told that they didn't have an order under his name or my cell #. They told him that they had another similar order but they had a different name and number (the first 3 digits were off). Obviously the guy that took my order didn't get it down correctly. If you are anywhere in the area this is the place to go for pizza. They truly cook an awesome pie. We called in advance and they said twenty minutes. We showed up and our 1/2 sausage with pepperoni and 1/2 cheese was ready to go. They even had a small bag of fresh parmesan, red peppers, napkins, and paper plates to go with our pie! I had the opportunity to try DJ's while working in the area. The staff was very friendly and nice but that was the only positive thing about the stop. First of all the salad bar had very limited items and then I found a hair in my salad, it was much longer than my hair so it wasn't mine. Next the pizza, the crust was a thin crust but it wasn't crisp like a thin crust normal is. The sauce was not very tasty and not much on the pizza. The toppings were OK but the ham seemed like it was chopped up cheap thin ham but there was plenty pineapple and jalapeños on it. I only ate two slices out of a medium and gave the rest away. Me and some degenerates descended on this place after getting smoked out of our campsite during the recent fires, and we did not anticipate how good it was going to be. The crust is perfect: crunchy outside and doughy inside. The cheese is different -- better than anything I've ever had on a pizza. And the toppings are creative, covering a range of cuisines and tastefully arranged. Someone put a LOT of thought into this menu. Plus, it's a fun hangout. I'd guess this is a Top 5 locals spot.
