I recently ordered a pizza from Firehouse Pizza ($42.00) and I take it home to feed the family dinner. My sister-in-law found a few long black hairs in the pizza. The clump of hair was so thick that it was connecting 2 slices of pizza together. Well, we were all grossed out and there was no way any of us would eat this. My sister-in-law got in her car and took the pizza back to the pizza place. Only one slice had been eaten before the hairs were found. They refused to give us a refund. They offered another pizza. She told them we don't want another pizza we would just like a refund. They refused to refund our money and they acted like we were making a big deal of the hairy pizza...the man at the counter said "what color was the hair" insinuating that maybe it was our hair but the hair was baked into the pizza" we then showed him the hairy pizza and then he said "we'll just give it to the dogs" We will never ever go and eat anything at this restaurant!! Great local Mom and Pop restaurant!! I own a bakery and we do pizza at night, so I can be a pizza snob at times, but this pizza was on point! Also, they have deep fryer, so their wings were some of the best (if not the best) I've had from a pizza joint! Their fries are great too! The service was fast, friendly, very accommodating. This place is our absolute favorite pizza spot. Pepperoni, garlic, black olives and pineapple with a side of ranch is our jam It's always predictably perfect and the service is always good. We usually come on weekend afternoons and are helped out by the kind owner, and more often than not, he's working alone. Prices have gone up over 40%. "Convenience" and "delivery" fees have increased. Some toppings are now "specialty" and cost more. Their pizzas are just not what they used to be. Didn't know the area well at all and stumbled into this pizza joint. The pizza was so good, edges were nice and crusty. Their ranch is awesome. The only think I'd say is they need more help there. This place could get very busy and there was only one person working there. It would also help if the arcade games were fixed to enjoy the wait. So, I was on the fence as to whether or not to go with three or four stars. After discussing this, I went with four stars. My family and friend have eaten from here a few times since acquiring a home in Clearlake Oaks. Twice for take away, and once for delivery. The staff has always been friendly, courteous, and prompt. The restaurant itself is clean, and the beer (and glass it came in) cold. Delivery was prompt and the order correct. The pizza is good too, as are the Spicy Buffalo Wings. As a nice option, you can go either ranch or blue cheese for the sauce. I highly recommend the Ba'Donga pizza (creamy garlic sauce, mushrooms, linguica and artichoke harts.) Oh, and surprisingly they offer red, creamy garlic (white), pesto and BBQ sauce. (Sorry, have not tried the pesto or BBQ sauce.) They also have a pool table and four video games. Certainly enough to entertain my boy while the "adults" had a beer and discussed the topic at hand while waiting for our take away order. So, you ask, why the "almost three stars." For myself, the only drawback is the crust. The restaurant offers a crispy crust, which I am not a fan of. However, my wife and friend both like crispy crusts, and they inform me that the crust is good and my dislike is only personal bias. We will certainly continue to come here again and again as long as the quality stays constant. Although, it would be nice to see a slightly chewier crust option, or a slightly thinner crust for crispy (ala Round Table style) But, as a general matter, I'd eat here over Round Table, crust and all. read more

We had a horrible experience at this place. The pizza was really good but the wait was a whole hour with no apologies or amends made by anyone. After seeing two customers that ordered after us get their food, I asked about ours. The staff didn't seem to know what was going on and looked into it. Not only did they get literally everything in the order wrong, except the drink flavor, they also ignored my instructions to leave the food by the gate for contactless delivery and came right up into yard and up to the door. They also didn't call first, as promised. When I called back, no one answered the phone until I'd rung three separate times; and then midway through the call, the guy, who never identified himself, told me he would have to call me back while I was mid-sentence. When he called back, still not apologizing or identifying himself, he barked out clarification of my pizza order (admittedly, an unorthodox one) then before I could ask what he planned to do about the inconvenience, considering I had also paid 20% tip on the order and my child was staring hungrily at food he can't eat, HE HUNG UP ON ME! AND put me on hold when I called right back. What in the actual *??? EDIT: One hour later: The "corrected" order was delivered AND IT'S STILL WRONG!!! wrong pizza and the same disgusting BBQ chicken!!!!
