Worst food experience ever. I give them one star because ZERO is not an option. I should have seen the problem at $80 for 2 soups and 2 items. We ordered 2 wonton soups, first an orange chicken then switched to lemon due to them not having orange, and a basic chicken chow mean. When I picked up the food the lemon chicken was on top and clearly wrong. It was a huge bed of rice with 4 little flat pieces of breaded chicken ( it did come with a half lemon), but clearly not what we ordered. I went back in and tried to point it out but they insisted thats how it was ordered. The younger girl asked if we'd like another but at our cost, I declined. After going back out to my truck my wife asks why they added $11 for chicken and $2 for large on each of the wonton soups, making them $22each? This is the point where we took all the food back and asked for our money back. The younger girl tried to explain what was on the menu to somehow justify what we got. We explained that we phoned our order in and never had a menu. Excuses were all we kept hearing until an older lady came out from the back. She too kept trying to cut both myself and my wife off including talking over me after asking me what was wrong. She tried to say that there was no such thing as a basic wonton soup even thought the receipt clearly shows an up mark up of $13 for chicken and making it large, neither of which we asked for or were wasked about. After I asked her to stop talking over me so I can answer her question and after we said we just want our money back she got very heated and started yelling about how she had been doing this a long time and been there for years and blaw blew. They refused to give us a refund even after taking our food from the counter and placing it on another table. We left without a refund and without food. My wife just had surgery today and all she wanted to eat was some basic wonton soup for her throat. Instead Kour Thia served up the largest dish of BS Ive ever seen from any customer service. Most people who try to argue at least have a valid point, this lady argued out of pure ego because she didnt want to except that they got an order wrong and upcharged us for items we never asked for. I will never go back to this place again and I will encourage everyone I know to steer clear of this place. Probly best aways, by the smell of the place, the health dept should probably pay them a visit.​​ read more

Three months ago, my wife and I ordered a dinner and everything was delicious. Now it seems everything has changed. The order was beef instead of chicken as we ordered sauces seem to be just thrown together and the shrimp eggrolls included a shrimp tail and a shell shrimp the potstickers were the same, but everything just seemed to be plain. We'll try one more time. Good location great for looking at the lake or sitting inside quietly. read more

This place could hold its own against any bay area Thai place. The sushi rolls are enormous, like bay area burrito sized. They are very flexible if you like or hate vegetables (I like extra). The family that runs it is so sweet. Good view of the lake, too, with veggies growing trellis style in front of the windows. read more

Came here between some downtime we had during an event, and was so blown away with how delicious this place was. My husband and I ordered drunken noodles and Tom yum soup. Their Tom yum soup was one of the best I've ever had. So flavorful and lots of chicken and veggies. The drunken noodles were equally good. Service was nice and relaxed. Views of the lake were also pretty and their decor made it feel authentic. We live a couple hours away but I'm already thinking about how we can make our way back here soon. This is as good as any Thai place in the Bay Area or Seattle. Unbelievably good food. They're very flexible with ingredients too. Like veggies? Hate them? They'll make it that way. Also be warned the sushi is HUGE. One roll is a meal. read more

Little gem authentic Thai food. service was prompt. Cozy family restaurant atmosphere. the view is spectacular. It would be a solid 5 stars if the Tim yum soup is served ahead of the main dishes, so they don't get cold while we finishing up the soup and less salt in noodle would be nice too read more

SCORE! I was in town visiting family and I wanted to treat them to dinner. My family hadn't been here before but I found this place on yelp and wanted to try it. OMG! I was impressed! We started with some sushi rolls and they were fresh and beautifully presented. Everything was perfect the crab fried rice was the favorite at our table but I recommend the curry. It was perfectly seasoned. If you haven't tried this place you shouldn't hesitate any longer. read more

I went to the drive up window needing some tom kha. The people were super sweet. I got a large tom kha and side of white rice. It's kinda dingy on the outside but this is Clearlake. I was happy to be have Thai food. I met the chef at the window that was concerned I was waiting needlessly and she scolded the others to get me going. It was like 15+ minutes. It's fine I was doom scrolling my phone after a long day. I went down to the water and parked and ate my Tom Kha with rice in it and some chili oil. Clearlake surprised me on this one. It was excellent. I would give 5 stars but the place needs to be sugar coated a bit to not look as run down as the rest of clear lake. The tom kha was really good. I'll definitely come back and possibly going next time. I am stoked to have something I like nearby as I am here working from time to time 3 hours away from home. read more

Looking for some good Thai food, and I was cruising home from Fort Bragg area and decided to stop in this place. I'm glad I did! The view of Clearlake was pretty nice from inside the restaurant. As I place my order, a gentleman came down and sat at the table next to mine. I looked over and he glanced up at me and said "Hi, how are you doing?" I said that I was doing great and that it was my first time there. I noticed that what he was eating looked really good and I asked him what it was and he said oh it's something special that you don't get on the menu. And I ask him how he managed to get that, and he said "I own the place!" This led to a lengthy conversation about an hour, and soon after some of his buddies came in and sat with him, and they all offered to buy me beers. This is one of the best experiences I've ever had and, the food that I received was really darn good - super fresh and hot! It was the Beef Pho #49. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the Clearlake area. read more

Came here for takeout! Restaurant was large, nice lake views. Solid spot if craving some Asian flavors in Clearlake. Ordered the pad kee mao and Tum yum soup with shrimp. They had an extensive menu of Thai dishes and also sushi. Pad Kee Mao - pretty good, but portion seemed pretty small. Minimal amount of protein. Tum yum soup - very good and had lots of flavor, more on the sour side. Thai tea - very good, not overly sweet and well balanced. They don't have chilis and fish sauce here which I thought was surprising for a Thai restaurant. They gave us chili oil instead, which was different but still good. read more

Your prices are almost twice as much as you have here online, change that. Twice now people visiting got super excited about the Thai place they saw online and both times you guys ruined there experiences with sticker shock. Just put your normal prices. My boyfriend and I have been coming here regularly for the last two years. There's a girl with glasses who works there named Cake(spelt wrong), so sweet she knows my bf and i's orders by heart and can even tell it's us by our voices over the phone. It's cute, she'll call us husband and wife lol She's even gotten sad when she doesn't see us together when we pick up, I've never had a bad experience with them I'll probably defend them tooth and nail Never had a bad experience yet. read more

The food here was surprisingly fantastic and the vegetables very fresh. I have enjoyed several dishes here and all have been very good. The staff is very friendly. Their heat scale is 1-5 not 1-10 so don't make the same mistake I did the first time. LOL. ENJOY!!!! read more

Kour Thai is probably the restaurant we eat at most often in the Clearlake area. Its food is consistently good and it definitely rivals and can surpass Thai places we eat at in both Auburn and Santa Rosa. We also appreciate the friendliness and feeling of welcome. read more

I got take out from this place twice when staying at our Airbnb near by. It's very authentic Thai food. The duck curry was really good, but the pieces are very small. The Tom kha gai soup was very sweet and not good, but not much chicken in it. The tum woon sen salad is clear glass noodle in a lime juice, it was very light. We are new in town and decided to try Kour Thai because we like Thai food. We were not disappointed. The food that we ordered was some of the best Thai food we have ever had, which was surprising because our expectations of the quality of a Thai place in such a small town as Clearlake were not that high. The food is mediocre at best. But much worse; I got food poisoning from the fish. I experienced stomach cramps and diarrhea several hours after eating yellowfin tuna at Kour Tai. Their fish is not fresh and not kept properly. A few days later I approached the owner and asked for compensation. I was told (quite rudely) that if I didn't go to a doctor, there was nothing she would do for me. I will never dine at Kour Tai again and I suggest you stay away also. read more

This place is my favorite spot in Clearlake. The food is out of this world, Tik knows what's she doing for sure! The view of the lake puts myself and co-workers at ease during our lunch break, the service is always with a smile and the place is clean. I will continue to go for our once a week gathering and have even found myself bringing friends and loved ones on different days as well when in the area! Enjoyed the thai food here. They back onto the lake so we chose to eat out side their place. Started with the pad kee mou which was very deep and flavorful. Went onto the Basil shrimp which was great. Ended with the red curry beef hooch was tender and nice. Good portions and fast service. I would definitely visit again. read more

Well since I'm new in town, I've been trying all the restaurants and reviewing them all. I got take out and probably will only ever do that here. Ambiance was good, cucumber salad was awesome, red curry was good in flavor but lacked anything but the coconut milk base..meaning it was all liquid and not much else. No bamboo shoots, no noticeable basil, a few green beans, even less carrots, and mostly chicken. I was disappointed. But, what was the most disappointing was the chicken satay...literally 4 thin 3 inch slices of dried out chicken on a stick. :( I will definitely not get that again but I will definitely go back. I give every restaurant the three tries test!!! :) I hope they read this so I can write a better revue next time!! read more
