We stopped by Healdsburg on our way north and was craving something healthy for a late lunch after grabbing pastries and bread at an earlier pit stop. We saw Carmella and stopped in to get a miso sweet potato to share and it ended up being such a nice, nourishing meal. The salad had a variety of green, sweet potato, walnuts, kumquats and the best homemade miso dressing. Everything was really fresh and we loved the kumquat slices. It felt great to get some fiber in and there are a couple of small tables overlooking the main street to dine in at. Definitely a great stop if you need something healthy in Healdsburg. read more

We had a nice overnight visit in Healdsburg during a recent trip and stopped by Carmella for lunch. The very well decorated interior space and friendly customer service. More importantly, offered several vegan options that were all outstanding. We ended up coming back twice during our stay. The salads were fresh and packed full of savory ingredients. Great coffee drinks and juices too, all at very reasonable prices. I would gladly stop by here again on our next visit. I highly recommend this place. read more

We have been coming here for their healthy food and smoothies - which are all delicious. So today, instead of going to a coffee shop I decided to come here to kill two hours while my partner was at a medical appointment in the area. I thought it would be great to be somewhere with healthy snacks and foods so I'm not tempted to have junk you find in other coffee shops. The lady in the store, however was not happy about having me sit there, minding my own business. She was annoyed that I asked about restrooms. Then she was annoyed about me sitting there for so long - I had purchased a drink and in fact, was going to buy smoothies and salads from them when my partner came back to meet me. But she was rude and made me feel so unwelcome about "taking up 50% of their seating". There was no sign about amount of time at the booths. And mind you, there was no one else sitting at the other booth either. Just terrible way to treat a customer. Most new businesses would be happy to have someone sitting at the window seat, but not this one. They have lost our business unfortunately. In response to her comment below: There were many more polite and friendly ways to accomplish what they needed. Asking a customer "are you waiting for someone?" Immediately makes them feel as if they shouldn't be there and unwelcome. I would have been happy to share the table with others. read more

I have to say that the food was delicious and refreshing. If you're into clean eating, I tell you this is one of the best places ever. All of the produce from local farmers. Not only is it fresh and nutritious, but it taste delicious. I love the fact that they don't use processed ingredients. they make their bread and cheese in house and you can tell it's made with love. The salads are out of this world and very nutritious. My body can feel the difference whenever I eat there. whether it's sweet or savory, my palette is content. Everyone there is very friendly and welcoming. I love the cozy ambience. I really appreciate that they have water bowls for my dog. if you haven't been there, I suggest you though and post your own experience because I do know if you love eating healthy you will return. read more

My wife and I were in town yesterday. I've always been a smoothie person over coffee. This place opened up not that long ago and I wanted to give it a try. I went in and I ordered the strawberry diva and oh my God, it was delicious. I don't know if it was the dates or the creamy cashew milk. I couldn't stop drinking it. It was super watery which I like and a bit thick. Not too sweet. A bit pricy for a smoothie, but hey they say health is wealth.
