There are gluten-free options. When I buy similar foods at big name supermarkets, the taste is sometimes disappointing. I can find ripe fruit here. It has gotten hard to find elsewhere. Their avocados are good, the best in town. Another reviewer mentioned chocolate. Yes, I have bought some that I loved. Carob bars too. One more thing: I have done a bit of price comparison with Whole Foods and Olivers. I find Community Market to beat Olivers and be about the same as Whole Foods.

I understand that security personnel need to monitor the property, but customers should still be treated respectfully. I don't understand why the owner(s) of this business hires rude, incompetent, and impassive people to work at the counter of the "Pharmacy". It is obvious that they hate their job, and the clients. The young lady (late teen or early 20s) needed more training in customer service. Perhaps time to develop into maturity. My experience with her is disappointing. I would expect this type of treatment from an employee of Walmart and not Farmacopia. This young lady repels me from returning to Farmacopia and spending my hard earned money. Additionally, they DO NOT stand behind the products that they sell. I spent hundreds of dollars on inferior products. Why would anyone patronize businesses that treated the clients with disrespect and disregard... I will spend my MONEY elsewhere. read more

I live in New York State, but follow Farmacopia on social media. Twice I've downloaded their cleanses (summer and winter), and loved the results. An incredible amount of approachable and educational information with tasty recipes was mine at no cost. I ordered some products (something I originally had no intention of doing), and was very pleased with the results. I slept so much better and felt more alert and less inflamed. The smoothie recipes were so delicious that I got my husband hooked too. I tried once to get a similar product locally and was not impressed by the flavor. I'll keep tuning into farmacopia, as they are a wonderful health resource. I look forward to learning more from these experts and wish they were located nearby. read more

The staff members at Farmacopia are amazing. They are not only extremely knowledgeable, they are kind, attentive and helpful as well. Treatments from Josh helped me recover from chronic pain, Lily always knows exactly what I need when I go to her with ailments and I always love when Danielle assists me with orders and purchases when I visit and ask a million questions. Best natural health shop I've come across! It's run by a real herbalist (Lily Mazzarella) and staffed with the sweetest, most knowledgeable people. They even have practitioners on-staff who can answer your health questions on-the-spot and whip up a custom herbal tincture specifically for you! Every time I go in I get great guidance and know I'm getting the best quality vitamins and herbs. They also have services like acupuncture, naturopathy, nutrition and herbal consultations and B-shots! read more

I know that sound too amazing to be true, and I would think the same thing before when people told me how Chinese Medicine cured them of this or that, but my fear of surgery made me try and I'm so glad I did. And if you just want to feel good her stress treatments are amazing. I would be on cloud 9 for days. I know everyone has some stress in their lives so I highly recommend it. It's way better then any pill your therapist could prescribe you. Oh, and the cupping feels so good after sitting in front of a computer all day. Decided to give Stephen a try due to the rave reviews he has on Southern Marin Mothers Club and the…read morevarious awards he's won in the community as the "best of...". On initial meeting he came across as quite serious, somewhat reserved and uber business-like/professional. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, and I'm sure this persona instills confidence in many of his clients, but I tend to prefer establishing a more personal rapport with my practitioners, which lets you see their true personality and who they really are. I view it as a partnership, vs. a Teacher/learner relationship or a superior/underling relationship. (I know many folks like their practitioners or physicians on a pedestal of elevated knowledge and superiority - I don't go for that.) He warmed up a bit on subsequent visits, but always maintained a certain level of aloofness that I associate with old school conventional medical practitioners. He doesn't freely describe his impressions and findings as you go along - I found I had to initiate the conversations about what he was finding with his assessments. After seeing him for several weeks, two main issues came up for me that made me decide to return to my previous practitioner... 1. His needle technique hurts! Granted, I'm pretty wimpy, but I've been to four other TCM practitioners and have never had the needles hurt in this manner. Essentially out of 8-12 needles per session, only 1-2 would go in with a minimal amount of pain & the rest really hurt. Many of the sites would bleed more than just a tiny drop after needle removal and again, this has not been common in my experience. I found myself dreading appointments because of my anticipation of pain with the needles. 2. His recommended herb changes were not helping me feel better. He had recommended a different course of herbs than my previous LAc, but I was not having improvement and was having issues keeping with the program due to side effects here and there from the various things. I was actually feeling worse and could no longer blame it on other things going on in my life, such as stress, etc. I began to suspect the herbs. All-in-all I decided to go back to my previous acupuncturist because I was feeling so lousy. Within just a few days of returning to Miki Shima and going back to Miki's recommended treatment plan I was feeling amazingly better! For whatever reason Stephen and I just aren't a good fit. He seems a nice enough guy and tons of people love him, I dread telling him that I'm "breaking up" with him to go back to my previous acupuncturist, but hey - people get back together with their ex'es all the time, right?
