He did the most comprehensive intake exam I have ever had with a health practitioner. He caught things no other health practitioner had before (sub-clinical low thyroid, hormone imbalances). Stephen's treatments and herbal RX have been the most effective I've ever experienced; I felt and noticed improvements quickly, if not immediately. I've seen Stephen for: fertility challenges, ovarian cysts, migraines, blood sugar stabilization, seasonal and food allergies, stress, thyroid issues, and general fatigue. I've taken my children to see him as well (for colds, coughs, ear issues, and allergies) with great results Stephen is a tall step beyond most acupuncturists and herbalists. He is a gentle but powerful needle-er. He's a knowledgable herbalist. Stephen, in addition to the classic acupuncturist moves of checking your pulses and looking at your tongue, also uses muscle testing to assess your body (very cool). He can also order Western labs for you, which adds to his ability to access and treat you. He's a bit of a mad scientist, incredibly knowledgable and able to make connections between disparate health issues. Stephen dispenses sound and helpful nutritional recommendations (Watch out though: Ever wonder if dairy, sugar or wheat are causing your health to suffer? Stephen might just confirm your hunch.) He sells and vitamin supplements as well. Stephen is a kind man. You'll find him professional and friendly, a clear communicator and genuinely concerned about your health. I trust him to treat my whole family. I highly recommend him. His office (previously Bill Prange's office) is easily accessible on Hwy 116, five minutes East of Downtown Sebastopol. Really nice staff. Runs on time. A gifted massage therapist, Ed Lark (707/291-3010), operates out of the office too.

It felt like gallbladder pain, but I didn't have stones--my gallbladder emptying was only 32%, which is the low end of normal. None of the doctors I saw could help me, and I was feeling hopeless. I decided to try acupuncture and found Flourish Integrative Health after reading their amazing reviews. From my very first call, the owner was so kind and informative. She recommended I see Jen Potthast, who has a lot of experience with the kind of issues I was having. I loved Jen from the beginning--she truly took her time to listen and understand everything I was feeling. I immediately felt calmer after our first session. After just four weekly sessions, all of my symptoms were completely gone. I continue to go because it's such an incredible experience. The treatments aren't painful at all--during each session I feel like I'm floating, and afterward I feel amazing, even better than after a massage. I highly, highly recommend giving acupuncture at Flourish Integrative Health a try--especially with Jen Potthast. She really knows her stuff and has made such a difference in my life!

I have been getting acupuncture and fascia work now for several months now and when I say it's saved my life, that is a complete understatement. I've been in and out of doctors' offices for years and not a single one of them has actually helped my body (or actually really listened to me) even a FRACTION of the way that Still Life has. Honestly, it brings me to tears regularly thinking about where I'd be if I'd never found them and how utterly grateful I am. It really has started to given me my life back. Daniel provides the treatments and Cat keeps everything running smoothly in the front and behind the scenes. Cat is an exceptional human being - so warm and inviting, easy to communicate with, very flexible, and quick to respond! Daniel is the exact same in the treatment room. Do not be afraid to speak up about your preferences! He really takes the time to listen and sees the work as a partnership between the two of you. He has an immense amount of knowledge and is very professional and gentle, and he does everything he can to make you feel safe and comfortable in big and small ways. They do their best to work with your availability and offer discounts if you book six packs of acupuncture sessions. They are very reasonably priced. The office vibes are also very welcoming and soothing. Truly, there aren't enough good things to say about Still Life. I'm a client for life now. They're also big foodies and have great recommendations if you like to talk grub or just wanna talk about life in general!! :D
