They offer a selection of coffee, teas, pastry's, sandwiches, coffee beans, mugs, and more. I ordered a matcha latte. It was decent but I could tell wasn't as high quality matcha as some of the specialty shops in the area. It doesn't come sweetened, so make sure to ask for sweetener if that's your preference. The space itself is great for getting work done. They have a large indoor seating area with plenty of tables and I noticed many people were working on their laptops or holding meetings. More like a 3.5/5 stars. Met up with a friend here and grabbed a cappuccino w/ half caffeine. Menu seems really big and the pastries look all right. I like the space though and they have a variety of beans lined on the wall. Drink was all right, the cafe being in railroad square makes finding parking a bit of a pain. It kills me a little that they charge $1 for a "splash of oatmilk", but apparently it's a California thing. Their "classic" drinks like capuccino and Americanos are good, but their special drinks like their lavender latte or pistachio spanish latte are all incredibly sweet--even after you ask for it a little less sweet. Their egg salad is good, with a bit of relish and chopped to little itty bitty pieces, and their egg breakfast muffin has the most deliciously soft and pillowy english muffin. This isn't the best location in the world, but it's quite solid assuming you don't get anything sweet. read more

My wife and I visited on a Thursday morning @ 10:15am and there was a few open tables. They have a few 2 person tables outside. Service was extremely fast. My wife ordered a hot chocolate and oatmeal with raisins and banana slices. Mrs said the hot chocolate and oatmeal was excellent. My black coffee was served hot and full of taste. I ordered avocado toast. It was tasty but in a very large thick roll slices. It was very fresh but was to much bread and would have been better on sourdough slices or such. I had been a regular at Aromas since I was in college and it was nice to circle back during a visit to friends. Aromas sort of has everything, snacks, ice cream, roaster on site and a variety of whole beans. No options for celiac aside from one sad looking gluten free cookie. I skipped it. But there are plenty of coffee items to enjoy. I used to get those chai milkshakes all the time! I bought a bag of Amanda's blend to try in my espresso machine. Coffee is great, but as far as service goes it's a 1 star. the staff is emo-agro and have bad attitudes. They don't know their products and act rude when you ask questions. I sat in the pickup line for 20mins watching confused customers try to pick up the correct order, after I picked up the wrong one and got chastised for it by the barista. The barista then proceeded to give the drink that I picked up and took a sip, out of to another customer. Mind you I received the wrong order of the day before, so I had similar expectations.... Not to mention the day before, I saw a staff member behind the food prep bar, preparing someone's bagel and cream cheese without any gloves. The other cook also didn't have any gloves and was cleaning the kitchen and also making food. It's very clear health and safety is not a priority here, nor is friendliness. This place is a pretty vibey place, it was almost full but they had seating on the front and outside. We didn't have to wait very long for our drinks and food, maybe 10 min. I got a Mexican mocha and bacon breakfast burrito and the mocha pretty good, not too sweet but also kind of thick. The burrito was good but could use some salt. The salsa they give you on the side was too spicy for me but my husband used it all. The breakfast burritos are premade so you can't make any changes. My husband got a Vietnamese coffee which he enjoyed, it had a little bit of a smokiness to it. While staying in town, at the Hotel La Rose, this café was right across the street, so we came here each morning. The first morning I tried their bacon, egg, and cheese on ciabatta along with a Mexican Mocha. The sandwich was decent, though it had a slight burnt flavor, I didn't see anything burned in it. The coffee was nice, with a little spice to it. I came back two more times for basic coffee and those were pretty good. They roast their own beans here, which is pretty impressive. Went there for the first time and met some friends. We all had the Mexican coffee which I believe had some shaved Mexican chocolate. It came out hot and in a tall thick glass. I wish I would have taken a picture as I did not see any on Yelp with that glass. (I was busy meeting with out-of-town friends.) The coffee was hot with just a hint of chocolate. It was really good. The atmosphere was and inviting with plenty of places to sit. They had a small room in the back and a small deck outside as well. I came here once as a treat but A'Roma has quickly become part of my routine that I look forward to every week! The coffee is delicious and they have a nice menu for flavors if you want to jazz it up (seasonal eggnog latte is tasty). I always have great customer service, they're friendly and efficient. I've been visiting this coffee shop for more than 2 decades as the staff is always friendly, the coffee is roasted in house and they offer a welcoming and comfortable environment. I spent many hours here studying with classmates from my high school to grad school days. I have been out of school for a while but was in the area and decided to stop in for my favorite blended coffee drink, the montecado which is basically a chocolate shake with coffee and it was just as good as I remember.
