Lucky me, 2nd visit to Santa Rosa in a couple weeks & stopping in Aroma Roasters again! My fav coffee shop in the area

My wife and I visited on a Thursday morning @ 10:15am and there was a few open tables. They have a few 2 person tables outside. Service was extremely fast. My wife ordered a hot chocolate and oatmeal with raisins and banana slices. Mrs said the hot chocolate and oatmeal was excellent. My black coffee was served hot and full of taste. I ordered avocado toast. It was tasty but in a very large thick roll slices. It was very fresh but was to much bread and would have been better on sourdough slices or such. I would visit again but not order the avocado toast.

First time here as we were visiting family in the area. Nice space, limited indoor seating. Outdoor seating but too cold at the time to go there. Everyone was friendly. Coffee and food were good. Nice selection. Mishaps with our drink order and they remade without question. Nice place just nothing that stood out for 5 stars. We would definitely revisit

I had been a regular at Aromas since I was in college and it was nice to circle back during a visit to friends. Aromas sort of has everything, snacks, ice cream, roaster on site and a variety of whole beans. No options for celiac aside from one sad looking gluten free cookie. I skipped it. But there are plenty of coffee items to enjoy. I used to get those chai milkshakes all the time! I bought a bag of Amanda's blend to try in my espresso machine. There is a lot of seating and it does get packed. So try your luck. Aromas is a classic Santa Rose staple. Definitely go there.

Friendly helpers, delicious cold beverages and nice atmosphere. Spent the day walking around downtown and this was a nice break!

We stopped in for coffee and breakfast. Coffee came out immediately and was great. Food took a while, especially just for a toasted sandwich that was already made. Food was solid, nothing incredibly special but not bad. Coffee tasted good. Service was friendly and efficient.

L to R: Vietnamese iced coffee and Mexican mocha with almond milk

This place is a pretty vibey place, it was almost full but they had seating on the front and outside. We didn't have to wait very long for our drinks and food, maybe 10 min. I got a Mexican mocha and bacon breakfast burrito and the mocha pretty good, not too sweet but also kind of thick. The burrito was good but could use some salt. The salsa they give you on the side was too spicy for me but my husband used it all. The breakfast burritos are premade so you can't make any changes. My husband got a Vietnamese coffee which he enjoyed, it had a little bit of a smokiness to it. The menu here is really big so there are plenty of options for everyone and they have a pastry case full of cakes, bars, cookies, and muffins that all looked really good.

Delicious avocado toast, plenty of coffee and tea options to choose from. Plenty of bakery items and lunch too. Staff is friendly. The place gets very busy in the mornings and on weekends so sometimes it's tricky to find a spot to sit. No table service, you order at the counter and pay, they'll shout your name when it's ready.

While staying in town, at the Hotel La Rose, this café was right across the street, so we came here each morning. The first morning I tried their bacon, egg, and cheese on ciabatta along with a Mexican Mocha. The sandwich was decent, though it had a slight burnt flavor, I didn't see anything burned in it. The coffee was nice, with a little spice to it. I came back two more times for basic coffee and those were pretty good. They roast their own beans here, which is pretty impressive. Service was decent, not great. They do get quite busy, as each time we walked by there were lots of folks inside... definitely a popular place with the locals.

Great and speedy service. Inside was spacious rustic and definitely no frills. A true coffee shop that offers bites, foods, and just a great time. It was pretty bustling on a Sunday morning around 10/11 but such a great place to stop by for a visit or to stay awhile.

Avocado Toast was really good. Stopped in for a quick bite before my flight and wasn't disappointed. Friendly staff and nice place to start your day.

Oatmeal and BLT with a side egg and 2 drinks comes to around $35
    Tory M.

It's a coffee shop that serves food at a walk up counter with chairs. The food was basic American food. Nothing was bad but nothing was extraordinary. The oatmeal when under steamed but we just waited and stirred and it was pretty good. The BLT was fresh and good but the eggs are this puck of eggs with some very nice seasoning but with the texture of a steamed batch egg. Fine but not amazing. Staff was friendly. Line moved quickly. Lots of inside seating with moderately comfortable chairs. Some parking.

The line wasn't long but it was still nice to get our order taken care of by one of the employees while we waited. When we got to the counter we added a cookie to our order and the drinks came right out! The counter person was very friendly! Here's the thing....unless I missed it there was no restroom? Maybe it was outside? And although I saw mostly all excellent reviews on Yelp, I thought my coffee (the cold Milky Way) was just ok. I'm not sure what would have made it better, but it just wasn't that great. I did like the fact that it had no ice (which means more coffee in your cup) but was still cold and refreshing.

I could have settled for a regular matcha too! Love that they give mugs for any "for here" drinks too. Drink was cozy and very good! Lavender was there but didn't overpower the matcha. Good microfoam in the drink and no clumps at the bottom of my mug when the drink was gone! All good signs of a well made matcha drink. When we first arrived, I joked to my friend while we were ordering, "First round is on you because of tickets, remember?" - no big deal. We ordered a few (honestly, pretty mediocre) drinks, sat down, and enjoyed a great cover band that played music I grew up with. The atmosphere was fun, people were dancing, and we met and chatted with a few friendly folks near the bar and nearby tables. Most people were definitely buzzed, some outright drunk. It's a 21+ event, after all. It was a fun time. The problem? I was ''cut off'' after only 2.5 drinks, as one had accidentally spilled. When I went to order another after dancing with a friend, I raised my hand in a silly, playful way and smiled while ordering. Apparently, that was enough for the bartender, an older white woman (Ellen, I believe her name was), to decide I'd had "too much." She seemed to think other people were buying me drinks, which wasn't true, only my husband and friend did. She could have easily confirmed that with me or with whoever she thought was buying the drinks, but instead, she relied solely on her own incorrect judgment. I was definitely not drunk or behaving inappropriately. Meanwhile, there were people around us who were visibly intoxicated; slurring, stumbling, and clearly having a good time. They kept getting served without issue. One particularly drunk man made one of my friends uncomfortable, yet nothing was said to him. The difference? He was an older white guy, while I am a person of color. What really got me was when a bouncer pulled me aside to check my ID AFTER I had already been at the event for hours. I had walked past him multiple times that night, as I had gone to the bathroom or just stepped outside with friends. I wasn't carded when I first entered, and clearly my age had not been an issue until that moment - because you know, It was a ticketed 21+ event. I had, as stated above, even ordered a drink when we first arrived. Being told I'd be kicked out if I was seen with another drink, despite being calm, respectful, and coherent, felt humiliating and unfair. No one else was pulled aside, yet anyone with eyes witnessed plenty of people who were clearly less than sober, if you know what I mean. I understand the importance of responsible alcohol service, but the inconsistency and bias in how it was enforced here was obvious. It is disappointing when a place that's supposed to be about fun and music lets staff's assumptions ruin someone's night. It felt less like "safety" and more like a snap judgment and doubling down on an assumption.

Also on the weekends they've been known to have sone nice music accompanying the pretty lounge. The cocktails are average price, and tasty and there is an upscale vibe. If they improve the food and the comfort of the high top seat backs which are very low, I'd give a couple more stars. There's a menu that looks interesting and affordable with an Asian flair... but that's where the disappointment starts for me. It's lopsided with deep-fried, more protein, vs veggies, & plenty starchy items! We tried the panko crusted sliders, which we should have known meant the beef paddies would be deep fried. It was actually filling, but tasteless. It needed some onion or garlic aioli, slices of juicy tomato or something! We also got the chicken wings; again deep fried and in a sticky sweet Asian sauce that was tasty but very sweet. I did not try mains as they were on pricy side. We sat at the bar where service is ok, and better the more you order type of vibe.
