Actually dropped by Central Coffee a lil over a week ago on my quest for good matcha in the city! I'll start with some positives! Love the space of the cafe and its location is great for the decent ample parking. Outdoor seating in front of the entrance is very much a backyard patio vibe and it's nice and spacious inside. Service was fine too and it seems all the cafe baristas work well and fast even when there's a rush. Noise level is good so anyone looking for a study spot or a place to catch up with a friend will appreciate that! My only gripe is that I think their matcha latte isn't that great. Not sure what they use and how they prepare it but by the end of my drink, I could see clumps meaning maybe they didn't sift the powder and whisk it enough to avoid that grittiness. I can't attest to their espresso drinks but maybe I'll give them another shot if I feel like a seasonal drink! read more

Friendly service and good matcha! I was looking for a cafe to study in and Central Coffee had everything I needed. The space has plenty of seating (though it filled up almost completely while I was there), tasty matcha, free Wi-Fi, and outlets (along some of the walls). I will note that their matcha does not come very sweet, but after adding some honey, it was exactly to my liking. read more

This place is a hidden gem!! Went to a coffee date with my friend and was pleasantly surprised!! It's a really nice big space with outdoor seating as well! The inside is cozy and warm/welcoming, I feel like I could stay there all morning! They have yummy drink options and food options. I got a spring menu drink, the iced honey sea salt latte and it was AMAZING!! Also got the caprese avocado toast and it was absolutely delicious! Perfect! I was happily surprised by Central Coffee. I had a very delicious breakfast frittata and an iced latte. The cashier was super nice and accommodating and very personable. I will come back. Great place to study or have a coffee date. Their coffee and pastries are delicious and averagely priced. It's very spacious here. Lots of natural lighting, tables, and can generally find an outlet if you're sitting near the walls. WiFi is great, bathroom is clean. Checks off all the things I look for in a coffee shop to study/do work. There is also outdoor seating. Service was also quick and you return your tableware in a bucket by the entrance. Stopped by Central Coffee on a Saturday late morning. The parking situation was extremely chaotic--cars blocking the lot and pass-through lanes, with multiple vehicles left unattended with flashing lights. The number of "no church parking" signs suggests this is an ongoing issue, but it doesn't appear to be managed. Inside, the café itself was nearly empty with plenty of open seating. I purchased a coffee and approached a lounge area with multiple open chairs. Two people were seated on the couch--I asked if I could sit in one of the available chairs, and they said yes. After I sat down, one of them told me they were having a "private conversation" and asked me to move to a single chair across the café. This is a public coffee shop with shared seating, so I stayed seated. They continued to object and eventually left. The bigger issue was how staff handled it. When I mentioned what happened, I was directed to "a chair over there," essentially reinforcing the idea that other customers can claim a large seating area and exclude others. That's not how shared café spaces typically work. What stood out most is how different this felt from the way the business presents itself online--"community-focused," "a place to connect," "a seat at the table." In reality, the experience didn't reflect that at all. Coffee was fine, but the overall experience and handling of a basic situation made it unlikely I'd return. read more

This place was great. We came in 20 minutes before they closed and staff was very nice, didnt rush us to order or leave. Gospel music was playing & I loved every minute of it. We bought a latte & hot chocolate with a few pastries (warmed) and hung out for about 10 minutes. This place is nice and clean, clutter free and quiet. What a cute spot! I've passed by here several times and never noticed it was a coffee shop! The inside was super nice and clean! Plenty of seating! And outdoor seating which was a plus! Actual matcha was pretty good, had minimal sweetness to it but I just added some sugar and it was fine! Next time I'll try their coffee! I also got a bagel which was nice and toasty. I had to go to Concentra to get some work physical done and decided to stop in here after I was done. They have a good assortment of pastries and the coffee is phenomenal. I like my coffee black so I'm able to taste the actual bean definitely one of the best Java beans I've had. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is ample space to sit down and chitchat with friends or sit on your laptop without anyone bothering you. definitely looking forward to coming back. read more

Super cool coffee shop with plenty of meeting space with both inside and outside seating options. It is super clean inside, staff are prompt to clean tables after customers leave. Their menu has a wide variety for everyone including coffee and non-coffee as well as food. Oh... and they sell coffee beans too. Such a nice surprise finding this spot! They just opened 3 months ago too so im excited to have a new coffee spot in town. Great customer service-- I asked what theyre known for and I was told they had a delicious matcha. If you want it sweet you can ask for a syrup inside. I added lavender syrup to my matcha and it was sooo good. We also got a iced mocha with coconut milk which was also a 10/10. Highly recommend the bagel as well, i think it was bacon and cheese. My husband, when we met, had been in specialty coffee for over a decade. I got to learn what good coffee and wonderful places to drink it in are! Central Coffee has an amazing space and, more importantly, savory and coffee to make you miss it when you don't have it. Their selection of foods is amazing too! Central Coffee was a cool spot tucked away in a strip mall of Santa Rosa. We enjoyed our quick trip here with super friendly service and great iced tea and lattes. The outdoor patio was great for the kids to play while we sipped on our drinks. Pricing was fair and reasonable. I loved the free water refilling station as well! WOW!! I just checked this place out yesterday and it was so good I had to come back again today. Might be coming here many times a week now. It's a spacious, clean, and comfortable space to hang out with friends or co-workers. The food options are super tasty, yesterday I had a breakfast burrito and today I had a ham and cheese croissant...both were excellent! The coffee is FANTASTIC!! Yesterday I tried an americano and the espresso is smooth and creamy, the baristas know what they are doing. Today I opted just to try the drip coffee to see how the light roast is and it was another slam dunk!! The owner (I assume) remembered us and were very welcoming and helpful. There were patrons sitting at tables working on laptops, reading books or chatting happily as their voices and conversations echoed in the space. Central Coffee features a classic coffee menu with dairy milk alternatives of oat/almond/coconut, pre-made savory/sweet pastries like scones & hand held breakfast burritos made to order. We enjoyed a visit on a Monday at 11:30am, not busy, no line and got our order of 2 lattes and 2 burritos in 5 minutes. Lattes were lightly flavored, perfectly hot (not scalding) and burritos, while tasty, were only 4" long x 1" thick. In picture, left (sausage) and right (green chile) next to a Cholula packet for size. I gave 4/5 stars because the burritos are so small and the indoor layout does not offer any cozy, private areas to enjoy a solo experience or private conversation...it's all out in the open. read more
