Stopped in one morning recently for a coffee and a reheated breakfast burrito and sat out on a sunny bench. Walk up counter service, and expect a to wait on line. The line moves pretty quick but, you cannot be in a hurry here. My friend and I grabbed our place in line and as we worked our way towards the register there are so many cool, electic and odd things to pass the time moving forward. Some places to sit inside, but outside is where its at. All kinds of cool places to sit, shaded and unshaded. We got to the register, placed our order and got our hot morning beverages and waited for our burritos. About ten minutes later, our order was called and two reheated prewrapped burritos appeared. The coffee was good, the breakfast burrito was only so-so and thats being kind, the environment was pretty chill. This place is obviously very popular with the locals. Would stop for coffee again, but not breakfast. 3 Stars it served its purpose 00983

Yummy iced Lavender Matcha
Natasha K.

Goodness gracious. The iced lavender matcha is so yummy! Creamy, silky, smooth and hits all the perfect flavor notes without the overbearing richness of the matcha. Easy drive-up and order situation or park and enjoy the little lot they've curated. Sebastopol vibes for sure. They serve pastries and breakfast foods too. Really nice people. I'd love to go back this week!

I'm always in search of expectic coffee shops. This fits the bill. Unique vibe, friendly service, and robust coffee!! Nice place to sit and sip.

Scoring System: 0-3 Food Quality = 2 0-3 Service = 3 0-3 Ambience = 4 0-3 Cleanliness = 2 0-3 Likelihood I'll Return = 3 Total divided by 3 = Star rating 14/3 = 4.67 / 4 This super fun coffee spot has the ambience of the playa at Black Rock City The service is authentic and the refreshments are good. They did serve me a caffeinated beverage instead of the decaf I ordered, but this happens sometimes. I'll definitely be back

Just recently discovered this place. First time here forever customer from now on. The vibe: really nice and chill vibe. Lots of space to work and do school work or study or just read books in general and the space is outdoor as well as indoor. Very cool artwork. Food and drink: The coffee is very affordable and they also have affordable foods too as I was reading through the menu. Will be coming back again and again

This place is so funky and fun. Both a drive-through and walk-up, they've got a fairly standard menu of coffee and pastries. The coffee's quite good - not sure which roaster they use. We think they might've given us regular instead of decaf on one drink, though, so watch out for that. What makes this place unique is the eclectic seating and decor, as well as the community feel. There are interior booths and couches in front of fun murals, and exterior seating composed of bathtubs and swings and clay benches and more. The decor is reused and re-purposed items like bathtubs and license plates and phone booths and cars and more. Succulents are everywhere. A giant tree holds string lighting. It's a great place to sit outside on a sunny morning or warm evening. While we were there, it was obvious that this is a community gathering place. Folks hung out in the gravel parking lot, were friendly and on a first-name basis with the baristas, and the line out the drive-through was very long. It looks like they host concerts and other events. Definitely a spot I would return to in order to hang out and enjoy some good coffee!

Outside art decoration big space for a large amount of customers and so peaceful.

Definitely a must go for smoothie or coffee or just the view alone. This place is so peaceful and big and amazing. Having a drink outside with my girlfriend while a couple plays guitar and violin and birds chirping is tranquility at its finest. Came 4 times already definitely a must and will continue to come.

Eclectic outdoor space to enjoy the sun and view

I absolutely LOVEEEE HERE!!…read more I stopped by for a little treat, the vanilla latte never disappoints! Always hits the spot, the latte art made my day. The banana bread is sooo good!! The baristas are super friendly and it's always a vibe every visit. met their new manager Mariah, super friendly and outgoing. Mariah shared how they will soon have more food items and I'm really looking forward to trying everything!

I recently visited Taylor Lane Coffee and left feeling a bit disappointed. I ordered a hot chai,…read morewhich ended up being just okay. Definitely on the sweeter side and not enough spiced chai. It was also extremely foamy with so much foam that it felt more like a cappuccino than a chai. I ordered a 12oz but after scooping out the foam probably ended up with less than 8oz. When a barista called out a "hot chocolate," they looked directly at me and asked, "Didn't you order this?" I let them know I had ordered a hot chai, not a hot chocolate. Instead of clarifying or letting me know what would happen next, the barista walked away and spoke to the other staff member without saying anything to me about fixing the order or remaking the drink. They did end up offering us the hot chocolate, which was nice of them, but the lack of communication left the interaction feeling awkward and a bit frustrating. Overall, the drink was fine but not great, and the service could definitely use more clarity and attentiveness.

But once inside, the array of baked goods and the French inspired decor quickly provided a lovely distraction. There were only two staff members working, which left them spread a little thin. However, they kept composure and professionalism. Our pastries and coffees came out quick enough anyway. Everything tasted good, and there was much more in the pastry case that looked good as well. Looks like they have two other locations in the North Bay, and the founder is originally from France. Big congrats to their success.

The number one reason for this review is due to the staff. I looked at several other reviews and noticed negative comments about the employees- having the same impression I did. The staff never looked us in the eye, had an attitude devoid of a personality and did not seem very happy to be working there. I smiled yet one was not returned. All three of us had croissants- my friends had many crisp layers (although a bit dry). My croissant was not very crispy which I found disappointing. The matcha latte I had was good. I was blown away by some of the prices- a whole quiche offered at $62! The quiche looked tasty, yet I cannot understand the cost. There were several tables inside which was appreciated as it was quite chilly outside. There were some very delectable looking treats in the glass case that if I returned, I will try one of them.

I've been coming here since high school which is (ahem...) a really long time ago. I always order the same things: an Irish Cream flavored creamy Italian soda and a backpacker cookie. Today, Vela was behind the counter when I came in. I started giving her my drink order and she finished it for me. Now, mind you, I grew up in Sebastopol, but I don't live in town anymore. I only end up passing through periodically, but apparently this combination is a little unique. I love it though. It tastes like melted ice cream or a perfect cream soda. Highly recommend. (This is also one of the only places I've ever run across creamy Italian sodas, but it's simply an Italian soda + some half and half. They always measure out the syrup and cream, so it's not too sweet. They typically stir it too before handing it to you and generally stay available for a moment to ensure you don't want them to adjust the balance of syrup, ice and sparkling water.) The backpacker cookie has oats, raisins, coconut, chocolate chips and walnuts. Now, I can be funny about both walnuts and raisins in my cookies, but they always get the balance just right! Also, when I came in a few months ago, they were out of backpackers and my son ordered a cinnamon flat. I ended up trying it and fell in love with it too! So, now I order both and share some with my son when I get home. I've met Bronwen, the owner, as well. One time when I dropped in, she noticed that I was ordering Irish Cream and said she'd wondered whether she should keep stocking that flavor. When she heard how much I loved it, she agreed to keep it stocked. I'll admit; that influences me when I'm driving through. Not that I wouldn't ordinarily choose to stop, but now I have an additional gratitude toward them. So glad that the new owners (Bronwen and her husband have apparently been the owners since 2020) have kept this institution here!

The patisserie is cozy with a few tables inside and a few small tables on the patio. As you enter, you immediately see the glass case with beautiful pastries and cakes. So exciting to see all of their gorgeous creations in our little town of Sebastopol. We had reservations for 1:00 and they sat us at one of their small tables by the door. It worked but it wasn't the most comfortable seat in the house as people were walking in and out of the door and the pastry case was right next to us. There was a group of four near the far end and they offered to move us but then we would have been sitting right next to them. They also have another small private room but that was going to be used for a wedding cake meeting. Gergana is the owner and she greeted us warmly. She said she took over the patisserie in 2019. The other employees were very sweet and helpful. They provided us with a tea menu so we could select a tea from their varied tea menu. They returned with little pots of tea for each of us. There were many people dropping by to pick up a pastry and drink and others stopped by to pick up their cake order. The employees were efficient and quick to help everyone. They refilled our tea pots with hot water and checked on us throughout our time there. The desserts on the top level were our favorites. It came with a candle which was very sweet. The sandwiches on the middle level were chicken, egg salad and cream cheese with cucumber. Our favorite was the chicken salad. Overall, it was a fun experience to savor all of their small samplings and Gergana is there to ensure everything runs smoothly so that your time there is relaxing and extra special. She even gave us a hug as we were leaving. I look forward to visiting this local patisserie again for a cup of a tea and a beautiful pastry.

Pros: I've visited several times for the bakery. The scones are my favorite as they are quite large and delicious, and I also tend to buy the Russian tea cakes as well. I actually found Patissierie Angelica specifically because I was looking for high tea services and thus have had their West County High Tea service twice. The second time I had the high tea service, I was given a private room! I particularly enjoyed the lemon curd, jam, and clotted cream with the scones. Patisserie Angelica is also located in a quiet and spacious part of Sebastopol; there is a parking lot that usually has space. Cons: The private room became a little stuffy as there was no air flow (other than an open window) nor air conditioning. However, things might have changed from the last time I was there. Overall: The bakery is truly amazing. I absolutely enjoy the desserts sold there and would love to have more of the high tea service in the future. It's perfect for private parties!

Super cute, mismatched floral china, knickknacks everywhere, gorgeous flowers in the garden. We are on the terrace, which was lovely. The only drawback is that it's right on Main Street with a lot of traffic going by. The food was so good. We started with salad of the adults and crudite with homemade ranch with just a twang of spice to start. Then they brought out 3 tiered tea cake stands for each of us - a kids size, a regular, and a gluten free one. Everything was so delicious. A plate of 5 savory treats, each one more sumptuous than the next. A plate with a perfect scone with a tiny raspberry jam container, lemon curd, and clotted cream (my fav). Last tier had dessert, a chocolate cake with raspberry on top, a shortbread with white chocolate, and fruit. The shortbread cookie was the item I liked the least. They bring you a tea case so you can smell every option. We had grandma's garden, mint, and maple . All tasty. Oh and they do takeout of treats so if you are nearby you can just come in for those.
