This is a cute bakery with a good selection of pastries to choose from. A huge plus if you have little ones is the kids' play area located right outside, making it a family-friendly spot to hang out. I ordered one of their breakfast items; the flavor was good, but it was on the greasy side. I also felt the pricing was a bit high for what you get.

this place is great for family and friends. lots of seating and it's nice and spacious in the mornings. got lots of pastry and drink options. the service was good, got our food immediately and our drinks 5-10 minutes after ordering. the drinks were okay, not a great flavor for the iced mochas and the coffee taste was just okay. the pastries were much better. never had a canele before but it was pretty hard and couldn't taste much flavor. i enjoyed the almond chocolate croissant. so yummy and would love even more chocolate. the le normand baguette sandwich was so good and the fig jam was the best part. would definitely come back for the pastries

The pastries here are absolutely worth the money. I forget the name but I got the pastry with chocolate chip and it was excellent! It basically melts in your mouth, since it's so soft! I normally don't like chocolate in my pastries but this one was delicious definitely not overpowering like some other pastries. The spot is cute and has a few tables inside as well as outside. The workers 0are so nice as well! I will say I was not a huge fan of the coffee but otherwise would come here to eat more pastries!

Sarmentine is located in the Barlow. It's a small spot with a few tables inside and a few outside. The bakery is cute and clean and offers not only sweets, but sandwiches and salads. There are lots of decadent looking items in the cases. I opted to try the vanilla eclair which was delicious. My only complaint-the prices are a bit high in my opinion. My small eclair cost over $8. Happy yo have experienced it though.

I've visited the other locations in Petaluma & Santa Rosa yielding pleasant experiences. Unfortunately, that was not the case at the Sebastopol location today. The number one reason for this review is due to the staff. I looked at several other reviews and noticed negative comments about the employees- having the same impression I did. The staff never looked us in the eye, had an attitude devoid of a personality and did not seem very happy to be working there. I smiled yet one was not returned. All three of us had croissants- my friends had many crisp layers (although a bit dry). My croissant was not very crispy which I found disappointing. The matcha latte I had was good. I was blown away by some of the prices- a whole quiche offered at $62! The quiche looked tasty, yet I cannot understand the cost. There were several tables inside which was appreciated as it was quite chilly outside. There were some very delectable looking treats in the glass case that if I returned, I will try one of them.

Went here for lunch and got a bag of day old pastries to bring home, gotta try a bit of everything! The service was great, and everything was baked perfectly! The coffee was delicious, and so was the quiche and sandwich!

We stopped by here for pastries after our brunch at Fern Bar! When we came in it was pretty late so we only had a few options left (mostly tarts). I chose the pistachio tart which was not only beautifully made but also tasted good! It's not too sweet and the pistachio cream is not too overpowering. The service was good! Staff is very friendly, the ambiance is ok but it gets too hot inside and for me, it will be better if there are some cozy seats or tables to accommodate people who wants to sit down from their walk at Barlow! Otherwise, great pastries! Will come back to check more options!

liked the chouquette i got at the santa rosa location so much that i got the vanilla one at the sebastopol location. space here is a lot smaller though you get a giant window to watch them bake. liked the vanilla chouquette the most, shell is crisp and cream inside is not too sweet but still rich and tinged with vanilla

Cute little French Bakery at the Barlow. Loved that they carry some gluten-free items. Had some yummy macarons and a wonderful baguette. I'll definitely come back.

I missed this board and had to get back in line for a chai.

I love to bake, and this place was a baker's inspiration! The sourdough loaves were crunchy, the Crocquet Monsieur creamy on the inside and buttery crunch on the outside, delectable! Their Chai was subtly sweet and spicy, so comforting good. And the Chocolate croissant , to die for. Wait staff were friendly and efficient, even when I was touring their bakery cases and taking my sweet time to decide. They couldn't have been nicer, considering. This place is amazing and their goods over the top. The hardest part of coming in, is making a decision what to buy.

Food was very good and filling. Lots of options including vegetarian. It is a great place to bring the family and there is a big play area outside for kids. The service was a little impatient but overall good.

Cute bakery in the Barlow. It has a nice indoor and outdoor seating option and the servers are nice to questions on menu. We tried the almond chocolate croissant and veggies croissant. Veggies croissant was good and warmed up, with broccoli and bechamel sauce. Almond chocolate was heaven- flaky pastry with almond cream and chocolate cream and toasted almonds on top. Yumm! Recommend to come here for a quick bite or sit down at Barlow

Pretty good pastries. Coffees orders took forever. Workers are sort of passive aggressive for no reason. Not really worth the hype.

Two Dog Night uses lots of local ingredients to make a great product. There are many bad reviews for this shop because they do not allow samples, but don't be fooled, everything is amazing. It's clear they are not using tons of artificial colors like many other places. It also has tons of cookie chunks throughout. Yum! The banana foster crunch has so much fresh banana flavor. A freshness bomb! There are loads of tables outside in The Barlow's shared space, and there is plenty for the kids to do in the area after they enjoy their ice cream. I think the location is perfect for an ice cream shop. I'm not sure why this place gets so much hate. Two Dog Night Creamery makes great ice cream at reasonable prices with fresh, local ingredients. The patisserie is cozy with a few tables inside and a few small tables on the patio. As you enter, you immediately see the glass case with beautiful pastries and cakes. So exciting to see all of their gorgeous creations in our little town of Sebastopol. We had reservations for 1:00 and they sat us at one of their small tables by the door. It worked but it wasn't the most comfortable seat in the house as people were walking in and out of the door and the pastry case was right next to us. There was a group of four near the far end and they offered to move us but then we would have been sitting right next to them. They also have another small private room but that was going to be used for a wedding cake meeting. Gergana is the owner and she greeted us warmly. She said she took over the patisserie in 2019. The other employees were very sweet and helpful. They provided us with a tea menu so we could select a tea from their varied tea menu. They returned with little pots of tea for each of us. There were many people dropping by to pick up a pastry and drink and others stopped by to pick up their cake order. The employees were efficient and quick to help everyone. They refilled our tea pots with hot water and checked on us throughout our time there. The desserts on the top level were our favorites. It came with a candle which was very sweet. The sandwiches on the middle level were chicken, egg salad and cream cheese with cucumber. Our favorite was the chicken salad. Overall, it was a fun experience to savor all of their small samplings and Gergana is there to ensure everything runs smoothly so that your time there is relaxing and extra special. She even gave us a hug as we were leaving. I look forward to visiting this local patisserie again for a cup of a tea and a beautiful pastry.

Pros: I've visited several times for the bakery. The scones are my favorite as they are quite large and delicious, and I also tend to buy the Russian tea cakes as well. I actually found Patissierie Angelica specifically because I was looking for high tea services and thus have had their West County High Tea service twice. The second time I had the high tea service, I was given a private room! I particularly enjoyed the lemon curd, jam, and clotted cream with the scones. Patisserie Angelica is also located in a quiet and spacious part of Sebastopol; there is a parking lot that usually has space. Cons: The private room became a little stuffy as there was no air flow (other than an open window) nor air conditioning. However, things might have changed from the last time I was there. We started with salad of the adults and crudite with homemade ranch with just a twang of spice to start. Then they brought out 3 tiered tea cake stands for each of us - a kids size, a regular, and a gluten free one. Everything was so delicious. A plate of 5 savory treats, each one more sumptuous than the next. A plate with a perfect scone with a tiny raspberry jam container, lemon curd, and clotted cream (my fav). This is one of those places for me. I've been coming here since high school which is (ahem...) a really long time ago. I always order the same things: an Irish Cream flavored creamy Italian soda and a backpacker cookie. Today, Vela was behind the counter when I came in. I started giving her my drink order and she finished it for me. Now, mind you, I grew up in Sebastopol, but I don't live in town anymore. I only end up passing through periodically, but apparently this combination is a little unique. I love it though. It tastes like melted ice cream or a perfect cream soda. Highly recommend. (This is also one of the only places I've ever run across creamy Italian sodas, but it's simply an Italian soda + some half and half. They always measure out the syrup and cream, so it's not too sweet. They typically stir it too before handing it to you and generally stay available for a moment to ensure you don't want them to adjust the balance of syrup, ice and sparkling water.) The backpacker cookie has oats, raisins, coconut, chocolate chips and walnuts. Now, I can be funny about both walnuts and raisins in my cookies, but they always get the balance just right! Also, when I came in a few months ago, they were out of backpackers and my son ordered a cinnamon flat. I ended up trying it and fell in love with it too! So, now I order both and share some with my son when I get home. I've met Bronwen, the owner, as well. One time when I dropped in, she noticed that I was ordering Irish Cream and said she'd wondered whether she should keep stocking that flavor. When she heard how much I loved it, she agreed to keep it stocked. I'll admit; that influences me when I'm driving through. Not that I wouldn't ordinarily choose to stop, but now I have an additional gratitude toward them. So glad that the new owners (Bronwen and her husband have apparently been the owners since 2020) have kept this institution here!

Don't let the name fool you that they only have cookies as they have many baked goods including breads and pastries. During my visit I enjoyed their focaccia and scones. Both were so delicious! The scones were so light and tasty and some of the best I've ever had! They have a cute seating area with patio furniture and a couple of tables right out front. They make your coffee and have a side window for you to grab your coffee from. The staff was very friendly during my visit. I can't wait to come back soon to try more delicious goods!

I usually buy the raspberry cake slice, the macarons, and Whoopie Cookies. I've purchased the cruffles and the macarons as gifts for my friends, and they're always adorned in a cute box with a ribbon bow. There are also gluten-free cupcakes available. They've never disappointed me and I often walk out of the store with a smile and my sweet tooth satisfied. Cons: Street parking can be tricky during busier times. However, it's about a 5 minute walk away from the Santa Rosa Plaza Mall. The cake slices and cupcakes lay on the buttercream pretty thick, which can get overly sweet. Overall: I had been going to Sift Dessert Bar since 2015, and when it closed in 2024, I was surprised to find that the location for the original Santa Rosa store is now owned by a former manager of Sift Dessert Bar! If you missed Sift Dessert Bar, you'll definitely love Blondie's Bakery Boutique. The colorful interior and sweet treats make this shop a must-visit. While I have ordered a cake from Sift Dessert Bar, I have not done so for Blondie's Bakery Boutique.
