My husband discovered this Bakery about 6 months ago. We have been deliciously excited about…read moreeverything they make.. still trying more and more of their delicate creations. So far my favorite is their cinnamon bun very unique and yummy. Every bite is an explosion of flavor. My husband loves their breads of various kinds. Haven't tried them all yet but looking forward for that adventure. Highly recommend this bakery.. you will have a hard time picking just one item.

BurtoNZ Bakery is a wonderful, unique place in Sonoma County. There are a few places that do meat…read morepies pretty well, but I feel like this place does them the best. Their steak pies feel especially authentic to that British/New Zealand styles very rustic, rich with butter and so flavorful. Their sweet pastries are also delicious and they have a few specialties there as well. The service here is great and everyone is helpful. I love being able to see all the people making the pastries in the kitchen and smelling the baked goods. On today's visit, my wife and I shared their spicy vegetable pie, which was actually pretty spicy! It had a strong, tangy tomato flavor with a lot of spice! We also shared a fruit galette that had a lot of berries and pear on it. Lastly, we got their tan square which has a short bread base and then a thick, butterscotch and nuts top. It's so so rich and buttery. I highly recommend this wonderful bakery!

The move to the new Mill Street location has elevated the Quail & Condor experience significantly…read more The space is exactly what Healdsburg needed: open, airy, and modern, yet it manages to retain an intimate vibe that doesn't feel like a cavernous warehouse. It's a stunning backdrop for what remains some of the best baking in Sonoma County. As for the food, it remains predictably--and exceptionally--amazing. A few highlights from this visit: * **Ham & Cheese Croissant:** Perfectly laminated with that elusive shatter-crisp exterior and a savory, high-quality center. * **Veggie Quiche:** Often an afterthought elsewhere, here it was custard-like and rich, accompanied by a surprisingly delightful, bright side salad. * **The Sweets:** Both the OBG (Oatmeal Brown Butter Ginger) and the apricot cookies were standout treats, balancing texture and nuanced sweetness. * **Baguette:** A masterclass in crust and crumb; it's a must-grab for the ride home. * **Cappuccino:** Precisely pulled and well-textured, easily competing with the dedicated third-wave coffee shops in the area. The service was polite and welcoming, though it leaned a bit toward the slower side. However, given the quality of the output and the inviting nature of the new space, it's a minor concession. If you are looking for top-tier pastry craft in a beautiful setting, this new iteration of Quail & Condor is an absolute win.

Quail and Condor drew my attention to the radiant reviews they bring in. I finally was able to make…read moremy way over there to see what this place was all about. When you walk in, there is a lot of open space and the inside felt comfortable. There was an open and flowing environment. That was great! So, where did it go wrong? The prices were just sky rocketed into another dimension. $7 a muffin and $7 a scone. I seem to have much better luck at the Farmers Market for less. I get it, there is a fancy building that needs to be paid for. Don't come here for dairy free option if you're looking for something in the sweet and savory department. There are GF options but those are still rittled and laced with butter and dairy. Like, bread is your only choice if you're dairy free. The gentlemen that helped me told me to get a loaf of bread. So I did. $12. I went with the Rosemary, olive oil and sea salt focaccia bread. The good news is, it was nice and soft like an Air b n b pillow. The bad news is, it had more salt than the ocean. With copious amounts of olive oil saturated the bag before I left the parking lot (see attached pic). My husband was not a fan either and we left the loaf of bread out for the pigeons.
