Pros: The staff is extremely friendly and the interior of the shop is heavily decorated so much pink! The decorations are adorable and make the place look livelier. I usually buy the raspberry cake slice, the macarons, and Whoopie Cookies. I've purchased the cruffles and the macarons as gifts for my friends, and they're always adorned in a cute box with a ribbon bow. There are also gluten-free cupcakes available. They've never disappointed me and I often walk out of the store with a smile and my sweet tooth satisfied. Cons: Street parking can be tricky during busier times. However, it's about a 5 minute walk away from the Santa Rosa Plaza Mall. The cake slices and cupcakes lay on the buttercream pretty thick, which can get overly sweet. Overall: I had been going to Sift Dessert Bar since 2015, and when it closed in 2024, I was surprised to find that the location for the original Santa Rosa store is now owned by a former manager of Sift Dessert Bar! If you missed Sift Dessert Bar, you'll definitely love Blondie's Bakery Boutique. The colorful interior and sweet treats make this shop a must-visit. Received a birthday gift card from a friend a year ago. Put it away but came across it a year later. Was happy to see not only they went out a year, but they went out a year and a month. Decided to take a drive to Blondie's. The boutique's decor is so beautiful. I could not stop looking around! When I finally looked in the counters I saw how pretty all the homemade baked goods looked. It was hard to make a decision. I chose a few things. I was actually helped by Blondie herself. She was so patient and I definitely did not feel rushed. Read quite a few reinforce coming in and now see why she has such a high score of Yelp reviews. I would definitely recommend that we all support this small lovely bakery on Mendocino Avenue. It's so hard for these small businesses to be successful with the cost to rent and finding employees. This little spot is absolutely adorable. She's decorated it all Pink Christmas and it's so warm and inviting. A couple tables and chairs if you feel like sitting to enjoy your sweet treats. If I could give ten stars I would. Stopped in today to grab a birthday cake for my son's first birthday because I am not a planner, they had a great selection of premade cakes. We opted for the birthday cake even though I had a 2 year old with me who insisted we needed chocolate. We looked at the cupcakes but couldn't find one that was chocolate that she wanted (just plain chocolate on chocolate) so we ordered a chocolate macaron and a pistachio one for myself. The girl behind the counter was incredibly kind and explained all the different flavors to us. She packaged up the cake and gave me some options of a happy birthday plaque for the top. She then went to the back and after a minute came back. I was stunned that she had made my daughter a chocolate on chocolate cupcake with sprinkles (her actual dream cupcake). It was honestly some of the best customer service I've ever received. She had listened to everything my daughter was telling me and made it happen. Anyone with kids knows going out in public with a two year old and teaching them how to interact with the world is hard but this girl showed such kindness, and I can't believe how attentive she was. The cake was honestly better than we've had from the previous owner (sift). It was super fresh and moist and everyone loved it. The macarons were absolute perfection and larger than they were at sift. And needless to say my daughter loved her cupcake. I will be referring all our friends and clients to blonde's. 10/10, good food and great customer service is hard to find but Blondie's is nailing it. This spot used to be Sift Santa Rosa's location and they still have a lot of the delicious spirit left by Sift (including my all time favorite cupcake -- Pink Champagne that is now Raspberry Rose!). So I'm giving this place 3 stars because I loved talking to the owner of this place. She's so nice! As far as the cupcakes I got, I paid $30 for 6 cupcakes and I'm pretty sure they were stale. This is my first time trying blondies. I was excited to come here and try it since I've been missing my red velvet cupcakes sift made. I just feel like I was let down. Maybe this was an off day but the cupcakes I got were kinda hard and had the texture of bread when it's left out all day long. The cream cheese frosting didn't really taste like cream cheese to me. It would be so much better if there was filling in the middle of these cupcakes like sift did... because of this they just seemed kind of dry. It didn't help either that they were stale. Also if they fixed the flavor of the cream cheese frosting cuz it wasn't cream cheesing it for me my honest opinion is that the cupcakes here are just average. You can get these non filling cupcakes at Safeway. I'm sorry. Honestly I'll save my money next time and just go get some cupcakes or cake from the store. I'm sorry I just don't think I'll be back. We wandered in "just to look around" and got to chatting with the owner - an incredibly friendly and cheerful woman. We ended up buying cupcakes and the Samoa (Girl Scout Cookies) is a new Family Favorite. The Lemon was so perky, both sweet and sour, and is another perfect choice.
