Run! So you can go in and savor. Whether an amazing and gorgeous expertly crafted truffle or caramel, a magnificent cup of carefully curated green, black, pu-erh, oolong (and much more) teas or just to hear the beautiful gong, Either way, allow the flavors and sound flow and permeate through you. It's worth taking the moments to soak them in. Not an espresso shop so it's much quieter and serene. Gluten free muffins (savory & sweet), chai or matcha latte, and don't forget the frozen chocolate pops (it's summer right now! Flavor changes but we've had the mint, coconut almond and lavender, all wonderful with a thick coating of dark chocolate. Apparently all ingredients but the honey and liqueurs are organic. The chocolates are low to no sugar so the flavors come through, not just sweetness. We recently had the honey mint sesame caramel and the pistachio gianduja with a liqueur (can't recall which one) truffle - both a wonderful experience to enjoy. The website says David does $20 chocolate tastings which I hope we can do soon. The price point may seem a bit high but the effort, flavors and quality ingredients is well worth it. He's doing a light remodeling so things will only improve inside. As a sole proprietor David is a star in his class! Stop in soon!

Rally good chocolate. The one she said was spicy we bought, it wasn't very spicy but delicious. Lengthy tea menu but didn't get any this trip.

So i am giving a 4 because of the flavor of the chocolates; however, the customer service need great improvement. The store is a bit dirty. The teas were good. I told the lady that was working that i will be taking the chocolates back home to AZ and she didn't closed the chocolate packages so they spilled in the bag. For such a price I should have been offered a better customer service. Will not return anyways

I happened upon a FARM Chocolate booth last Thursday evening at the Occidental Community Farmer's…read moremarket. FARM is based in Sonoma county and features handcrafted- and sustainably-sourced chocolate, crafted by Patty Doyle. They don't have a "brick and mortar" store, but you'll find them all over the County, including various farmers markets and stores extending into San Francisco, Marin, and the East Bay. My only regret is that my purchase was limited to an amazing oatmeal/raison/chocolate chunk cookie that was well worth the $6 (or 2 for $11) that I paid. As occasional snacks, Gayle and I took our own time over 2-days to enjoy it. Next time, maybe it will be Sea Salt Lavender Caramels in chocolate?

Alan told me that FARM Chocolate, based in Sebastopol, would be at the Kensington Farmers' Market for the first time yesterday. I said I wouldn't mind if he surprised me w/ something from them. Well, he did. He came home w/ an 8 piece package of Sea Salt Lavender Caramels enrobed in 70% chocolate. He said the vendor said it was their best seller. Patty Doyle makes these chocolates by hand in her certified home kitchen. They are available in selected markets and shops and at farmers' markets. You can see the list on the website, under "Contact Us". Kensington is new enough that it's not listed on it yet, so there may be others that aren't listed yet either. Alan asked me to guess the cost of the package and I guessed $20, He was very pleased, because it was $12. I just tasted one and it was marvelous, w/ a strong taste of lavender, a bit of salt, chocolate and the sweetness of caramel. They're on the small side and I was tempted to eat two, but decided against it so it will last longer. On the website you can see their product range. They are a welcome addition to my chocolate world.

I CANNOT believe that I haven't reviewed this business already? You know those places that you go…read moreto so religiously that it's not even a choice anymore? This is one of those places for me. I've been coming here since high school which is (ahem...) a really long time ago. I always order the same things: an Irish Cream flavored creamy Italian soda and a backpacker cookie. Today, Vela was behind the counter when I came in. I started giving her my drink order and she finished it for me. Now, mind you, I grew up in Sebastopol, but I don't live in town anymore. I only end up passing through periodically, but apparently this combination is a little unique. I love it though. It tastes like melted ice cream or a perfect cream soda. Highly recommend. (This is also one of the only places I've ever run across creamy Italian sodas, but it's simply an Italian soda + some half and half. They always measure out the syrup and cream, so it's not too sweet. They typically stir it too before handing it to you and generally stay available for a moment to ensure you don't want them to adjust the balance of syrup, ice and sparkling water.) The backpacker cookie has oats, raisins, coconut, chocolate chips and walnuts. Now, I can be funny about both walnuts and raisins in my cookies, but they always get the balance just right! Also, when I came in a few months ago, they were out of backpackers and my son ordered a cinnamon flat. I ended up trying it and fell in love with it too! So, now I order both and share some with my son when I get home. I've met Bronwen, the owner, as well. One time when I dropped in, she noticed that I was ordering Irish Cream and said she'd wondered whether she should keep stocking that flavor. When she heard how much I loved it, she agreed to keep it stocked. I'll admit; that influences me when I'm driving through. Not that I wouldn't ordinarily choose to stop, but now I have an additional gratitude toward them. So glad that the new owners (Bronwen and her husband have apparently been the owners since 2020) have kept this institution here!

There are three choices for your table: indoors, the verandah, and in front of the house in the garden. It's decorated like a fairy tale. And so many teapots, decorative animals, and gifts. Super cute, mismatched floral china, knickknacks everywhere, gorgeous flowers in the garden. We are on the terrace, which was lovely. The only drawback is that it's right on Main Street with a lot of traffic going by. The food was so good. We started with salad of the adults and crudite with homemade ranch with just a twang of spice to start. Then they brought out 3 tiered tea cake stands for each of us - a kids size, a regular, and a gluten free one. Everything was so delicious. A plate of 5 savory treats, each one more sumptuous than the next. A plate with a perfect scone with a tiny raspberry jam container, lemon curd, and clotted cream (my fav). Last tier had dessert, a chocolate cake with raspberry on top, a shortbread with white chocolate, and fruit. The shortbread cookie was the item I liked the least. They bring you a tea case so you can smell every option. We had grandma's garden, mint, and maple . All tasty. I wish we could have tried even more but they did refill each adorable teapot with more hot water. The price is quite high but it was a lovely way to celebrate. Will definitely come back again. Oh and they do takeout of treats so if you are nearby you can just come in for those.

The patisserie is cozy with a few tables inside and a few small tables on the patio. As you enter, you immediately see the glass case with beautiful pastries and cakes. So exciting to see all of their gorgeous creations in our little town of Sebastopol. We had reservations for 1:00 and they sat us at one of their small tables by the door. It worked but it wasn't the most comfortable seat in the house as people were walking in and out of the door and the pastry case was right next to us. There was a group of four near the far end and they offered to move us but then we would have been sitting right next to them. They also have another small private room but that was going to be used for a wedding cake meeting. Gergana is the owner and she greeted us warmly. She said she took over the patisserie in 2019. The other employees were very sweet and helpful. They provided us with a tea menu so we could select a tea from their varied tea menu. They returned with little pots of tea for each of us. There were many people dropping by to pick up a pastry and drink and others stopped by to pick up their cake order. The employees were efficient and quick to help everyone. They refilled our tea pots with hot water and checked on us throughout our time there. The desserts on the top level were our favorites. It came with a candle which was very sweet. The sandwiches on the middle level were chicken, egg salad and cream cheese with cucumber. Our favorite was the chicken salad. Overall, it was a fun experience to savor all of their small samplings and Gergana is there to ensure everything runs smoothly so that your time there is relaxing and extra special. She even gave us a hug as we were leaving. I look forward to visiting this local patisserie again for a cup of a tea and a beautiful pastry.

Pros: I've visited several times for the bakery. The scones are my favorite as they are quite large and delicious, and I also tend to buy the Russian tea cakes as well. The macarons are a little harder and chewier than I expected, but they are still amazing. I actually found Patissierie Angelica specifically because I was looking for high tea services and thus have had their West County High Tea service twice. The second time I had the high tea service, I was given a private room! I particularly enjoyed the lemon curd, jam, and clotted cream with the scones. Patisserie Angelica is also located in a quiet and spacious part of Sebastopol; there is a parking lot that usually has space. Cons: The private room became a little stuffy as there was no air flow (other than an open window) nor air conditioning. However, things might have changed from the last time I was there. Overall: The bakery is truly amazing. I absolutely enjoy the desserts sold there and would love to have more of the high tea service in the future. It's perfect for private parties!
