One of my favorite parts was the outdoor garden seating. It was quaint, peaceful, and such an inviting place to relax and enjoy the experience. Their location is also very convenient, just a short walk from the Windsor SMART train station. We tried balsamic, mustards and chocolates! There are so many delectable treats here from all over the place. I highly recommend some chocolates that are in a cellophane bag with a red ribbon on it. I cannot remember what they are but I needed them, not wanted them, so I got a bag. Those little babies melt in your mouth and pair so well with a glass of red. Yummmm! FARM is based in Sonoma county and features handcrafted- and sustainably-sourced chocolate, crafted by Patty Doyle. They don't have a "brick and mortar" store, but you'll find them all over the County, including various farmers markets and stores extending into San Francisco, Marin, and the East Bay. My only regret is that my purchase was limited to an amazing oatmeal/raison/chocolate chunk cookie that was well worth the $6 (or 2 for $11) that I paid. As occasional snacks, Gayle and I took our own time over 2-days to enjoy it. Next time, maybe it will be Sea Salt Lavender Caramels in chocolate?

Alan told me that FARM Chocolate, based in Sebastopol, would be at the Kensington Farmers' Market for the first time yesterday. I said I wouldn't mind if he surprised me w/ something from them. Well, he did. He came home w/ an 8 piece package of Sea Salt Lavender Caramels enrobed in 70% chocolate. He said the vendor said it was their best seller. Patty Doyle makes these chocolates by hand in her certified home kitchen. They are available in selected markets and shops and at farmers' markets. You can see the list on the website, under "Contact Us". Kensington is new enough that it's not listed on it yet, so there may be others that aren't listed yet either. Alan asked me to guess the cost of the package and I guessed $20, He was very pleased, because it was $12. I just tasted one and it was marvelous, w/ a strong taste of lavender, a bit of salt, chocolate and the sweetness of caramel. They're on the small side and I was tempted to eat two, but decided against it so it will last longer. On the website you can see their product range. They are a welcome addition to my chocolate world.

The next day still moist. The owner was very helpful,when we asked for a small cup of water. She gladly poured us a cup. Side note, I wish that I had known before hand . They prefer cash to credit. A lot of small businesses are hit with high processing fees for using credit transactions. I usually try to help support small businesses. But unfortunately I no longer carry cash. If I know ahead of time,like when I go to the farmers market. I will bring cash.

However, the cookies are good, and the charming shop and staff make up for the high-ish prices. The flavors here are really unique. They have many classics, as well as some specialties like lavender, cinnamon, and ginger. I really enjoyed the lavender one. It was satisfying but also refreshing, all stuffed into a cookie. There isn't really anywhere to sit here, but I think it's more of a to-go place anyway. A beverage and cookie make a great snack to walk down the streets of downtown Sebastopol. This is also a great place for a gift. My grandma ended up grabbing some cookies as a gift for her neighbor, and they wrapped them up so nicely for her.

They give you a box of all the tea choices so you sample the fragrance before you order. Note that they are vegan. If you'd like gluten-free, just note it on the reservation. The staff is so sweet and attentive. They actually anticipated our every wish. Lots of activity as the cheery staff buzzed around us patrons. They gave us each a packet of wildflower seeds. There are three choices for your table: indoors, the verandah, and in front of the house in the garden. It's decorated like a fairy tale. And so many teapots, decorative animals, and gifts. Super cute, mismatched floral china, knickknacks everywhere, gorgeous flowers in the garden. We are on the terrace, which was lovely. The only drawback is that it's right on Main Street with a lot of traffic going by. The food was so good. We started with salad of the adults and crudite with homemade ranch with just a twang of spice to start. Then they brought out 3 tiered tea cake stands for each of us - a kids size, a regular, and a gluten free one. Everything was so delicious. A plate of 5 savory treats, each one more sumptuous than the next. A plate with a perfect scone with a tiny raspberry jam container, lemon curd, and clotted cream (my fav). Last tier had dessert, a chocolate cake with raspberry on top, a shortbread with white chocolate, and fruit. The shortbread cookie was the item I liked the least. They bring you a tea case so you can smell every option. We had grandma's garden, mint, and maple . All tasty. I wish we could have tried even more but they did refill each adorable teapot with more hot water. The price is quite high but it was a lovely way to celebrate. Will definitely come back again. Oh and they do takeout of treats so if you are nearby you can just come in for those.

The ice cream was melt in your mouth and reminded me of when restaurants would crush up candy canes and mix them into milkshakes for the holidays. And I have never seen employees on their phones, which is also pretty remarkable. So exciting to see all of their gorgeous creations in our little town of Sebastopol. We had reservations for 1:00 and they sat us at one of their small tables by the door. It worked but it wasn't the most comfortable seat in the house as people were walking in and out of the door and the pastry case was right next to us. There was a group of four near the far end and they offered to move us but then we would have been sitting right next to them. They also have another small private room but that was going to be used for a wedding cake meeting. Gergana is the owner and she greeted us warmly. She said she took over the patisserie in 2019. The other employees were very sweet and helpful. They provided us with a tea menu so we could select a tea from their varied tea menu. They returned with little pots of tea for each of us. There were many people dropping by to pick up a pastry and drink and others stopped by to pick up their cake order. The employees were efficient and quick to help everyone. They refilled our tea pots with hot water and checked on us throughout our time there. The desserts on the top level were our favorites. It came with a candle which was very sweet. The sandwiches on the middle level were chicken, egg salad and cream cheese with cucumber. Our favorite was the chicken salad. Overall, it was a fun experience to savor all of their small samplings and Gergana is there to ensure everything runs smoothly so that your time there is relaxing and extra special. She even gave us a hug as we were leaving. I look forward to visiting this local patisserie again for a cup of a tea and a beautiful pastry.

Patisserie Angelica is also located in a quiet and spacious part of Sebastopol; there is a parking lot that usually has space. Cons: The private room became a little stuffy as there was no air flow (other than an open window) nor air conditioning. However, things might have changed from the last time I was there. Not diluted with tahini, garlic, just pure flavors of eggplant with tanginess of sumac. LITTLE GEM SALAD WITH RAINBOW TROUT was hearty, leafy and very refreshing. The pickled celery was the surprise. HAMACHI CRUDO - beautifully assembled with thoughtfulness, light, refreshing. A bunch of flavor bombs in there so each bite is an adventure. Basil making it refreshing, earthy crunch from hazelnut, sharpness from green onion, sweet tart kiwis. I think a bit of citrus would make this a superstar. Mandolin shaved limes perhaps? GRILLED MAITAKE MUSHROOMS - ok I think this was the chefs most technically impressive dish, with an exercise in playing with bitter profiles and turning it into a master piece. Grilled maitake gets the char from the grill is the first flavor layer, it's woken up by the wild thyme from the zatar. Next the Japanese turnips bring the second dimension with earthy beautiful bitter notes on a bed of a creamy tahini based sauce. It's finished with fresh parsley to bring a fresh element to it. Great stuff. Could raddichio be added to make this more challenging? I saw those crunchy POTATOES and I got them even after eating the meal lol. Do yourself a favor and just get them - they're hot, crunchy and perfect to pair with the vegetables. Finally we got their chocolate mousse with bruleéd bananas sorry couldn't take a picture before it was all gone. Great way to wrap. The staff were all super friendly and helped with picking things from the menu! I got the mystery glass of wine and they had made a fun game out of it. The Beaujolais was great too. Overall when you're surrounded by these amazing farms, vineyards and ocean - no better way than to bring them together - kudos to the creators of the Redwood for making this place with intentionality.
