Gf and I decided to try a local coffee shop and was curious about this place. Friendly service. We had a few adjustments to our orders. 25% tip as she was definitely working hard. However, our drinks were just not good. My mocha tasted like warm milk. And her matcha was very grainy and unenjoyable. We're going to Starbucks now. This isn't an angry post at all as we are okay with supporting local businesses. But the products need to compete quality wise and this was a bit of a let down. Good luck! read more

There are a couple tables outside to sit but would suggest this is more of a grab n go spot. On the way to work sun coming up, I recently have been stopping by to grab a quick breakfast sandwich and hot tea. So the turkey and cheese is good. Doesn't have that much flavor. I like putting tapatio on it to help with that. Bagels are okay too. I wish they would put the cream cheese on. Too challenging while driving a stick in traffic. So far I've tried the Cotati fog which is an absolute solid. One time they did forget the lavender sweetener, so I sipped on hot oatmilk flavored tea for the remaining 44 miles. That was a bummer. I also tried the caramel apple latte, which could have used more caramel. It was pretty strong and I don't drink coffee much, so if you don't like it sweet at all then this one might be for you. For context, I've been coming to Cotati Coffee Company for 5+ years, and this is honestly the first time in my life I've ever wanted to walk out of a coffee shop. The blonde lady with glasses at the counter made me extremely uncomfortable. I asked one simple question, if one of their mochas could be made as a latte instead and she stared back at me with completely dead eyes and said, "They are the same thing." They're... not the same thing. When I clarified, she just looked at me. Finally she said, "So do you want something or not?" At that point I felt so tense and awkward that I reluctantly ordered, paid, and tried to wrap it up. I said thank you. She said absolutely nothing. No "you're welcome," no "here's your drink," nothing. Really sad experience. I've supported this place for years, but I can't imagine returning if that's the kind of customer service I'm going to get. read more

I had a very nice time with friends at Cotati Coffee Company. I ordered the Cotati Fog which was honestly one of the best London Fog lattes I've ever had- just the right amount of lavender syrup! First time here. I was in town for a couple of hours, so I sought out a highly rated espresso spot on Yelp. This place is very small but quite charming. The staff are friendly and ready to talk about coffee. I always order a double or triple espresso and I don't put anything into it. They use coffee from Thanksgiving Coffee Co. in Fort Bragg which roasts free trade coffee. Yay. At least for the espresso, they use a dark roast. It was tasty but the pull was a bit too long. Yes. I'm picky. I will ask for a short pull next time. I will return if I'm ever in town. read more

You should really train your staff to ask if the dog is a service animal instead of just saying "no dogs" the second you walk in. I wouldn't walk in here if I didn't have a service animal. I really enjoyed the "down to earth" feel of this little coffee shop. Most of all, I was very impressed and pleased with all the Sugar Free or No Sugar Added flavors they had available for coffees. Located on a busy street. There is plenty of street parking. I arrived about 8:30am and there were plenty of open spaces. I parked right in front. It is a small but cute coffee shop. Employees greeted me with a huge smile upon entering. It was my first time here and she showed me all the different menus. I was a little distracted. Came by CCC on the way out of town while staying in the area. Found it on Yelp while looking for highly rated local coffee spots, and it did NOT disappoint. This place is super small with only a few spots to sit in the back that were mostly used for waiting. We were greeted by Grace, who was working busily solo. Grace was very friendly and offered suggestions on what to get, and how to get it! The first recommendation was for a Crème Brûlée Latte, hot. My partner had her eye on the Honey Lavender Latte, which Grace said was very good and suggested getting it iced. We figured she knows best, so we went with what she recommended. Both drinks were BOMB! The flavors were on point and prominent without being overly sweet. They also have a small case of breakfast sandwiches and pastries such as croissants, cookies, muffins, and bagels. Grace patiently walked us through the different flavors of everything, and we ended up landing on what she referred to as the "hangover cure", which was a pesto and cheese croissant ($3.55). It was served warmed and was very delicious and fresh tasting. They also use organic espresso and organic milk as a standard. They do offer most of the usual dairy substitutes like oat, soy, almond, and coconut (+$.50). We subbed in oat milk for the Crème Brûlée, and coconut milk for the Lavender. Make sure to check this place out if you're ever in the area. There is also a tent with tables and chairs set up outside for people to enjoy the fresh air with their food and drinks.
