I really don't understand what the hype is about this place. I have tried to give them business on several occasions, and it's been the most mediocre and unpleasant experience I have ever had. My last straw was ordering from Doordash and them not leaving me a note or courtesy call that they were out of what I wanted. No remorse, no apology, NOTHING. Told me they are not supposed to call. Walked in, 2 lady's working the counter they didn't care to help me for a couple minutes they were too busy rearranging donuts in the case. Well they finally helped me get my donuts. Not sure why I bought a dozen and they stuffed the donuts in paper bags instead of giving me a box? The donuts are good, and I admit I'm writing this very annoyed. Came in to grab some donuts for a road trip and lady working the counter was wearing AirPods. That's all fine and good, but she gave me a box of donuts I DID NOT WANT. I repeated myself 3 times and even pointed. She couldn't hear me and whatever she was listening to was more important, shrugged and gave me a blueberry donut. This is the best place we've found to maintain our "curvy" figures with donuts so far. Old fashioned glazed are almost buttery. An amazing neighborhood donut shop! We tried this place on a Friday morning when we bought a dozen donuts and a few specialty pastries to take to some family that were camping near by. These donuts are so fresh tasting and have the ideal ratio of donut to icing. The kids loved the sprinkle donuts. The Apple fritter was top notch - one of the best I've ever had. Another highlight was the chocolate iced buttermilk bar. The donuts were loved by all and not a crumb was left. We tried Kailey's Donuts for the first time today and were very pleased with the donuts. We had a variety of donuts and loved them all. We have had Dunkin' Donuts and other local shop's donuts but none of them compare to the quality of donuts from Kailey's. They fill the jelly & custard donuts more than any other donut shop. There is nothing worse than biting into a jelly donut and after a few bites the jelly is gone and it becomes a plain donut. Not Kailey's donuts, jelly throughout the donut. I was craving a donut this morning, but I don't like grocery store donuts. I remembered that this place had opened where the old Tan's Donuts was! I looked at a few reviews and decided to try it. (Honestly the 1 star review looked suspicious to me so I disregarded it.). I am pleased to report that we have a GREAT donut place in our neighborhood again! I judge a donut place by their Apple fritter and maple old fashioned. These were awesome! Crunchy and fresh. An Apple fritter needs to crunch and this did! My husband judges a donut place by the chocolate cake donut and a standard glazed. He says if they do the basics well, then everything is probably great. He loved them both! Since I was there, and I wanted to try one of everything, I also picked up a maple bar and a maple bacon donut. I mean... I HAD to try them, right?! The owner was smiling and friendly, the place was sparkly clean, and the coffee smelled great. (I had mine brewing at home so I can't attest to the coffee beyond the smell!) There is a review that said that the donuts were pretty standard. I guess donuts are like pizza? They are all pretty standard. Until they are not. I thought these (remember, I tried SIX! My trainer is going to kill me!) were all better than basic/standard donuts. They were fresh and sweet and had good crunch when it was called for. Oh yeah - the maple on the old fashioned was thick and plentiful, with the perfect sweetness! Ok... I think you get that I loved it. I'm glad we have this gem in our neighborhood! Both times she delivered the perfect product for what we described and put a great personal touch on special order donuts! They were ready and fresh at the time of pickup.
