Oliver's is our go-to market.. I'm talking 3, 4, 5 times a week we visit as we live around the corner. Every aspect of them is delicious, fresh and local. Their produce at two price points of conventional and organic, their meat section offering all local and fresh options, their bakery is delicious and so beautiful, their deli with to-go food and sandwiches, and the soups are amazing, their taco and sushi bar, along with their hot food and salad bar all cannot be beat. They also have a bulk section for nuts, spices, honey, water, candy, coffee, etc. and offer everything else a grocery store would. The prices are a bit higher than other grocery stores, but you're paying for quality. Everything is fresh, the store is always so clean, and people are for the most part always friendly. They hire people with special needs, which in my opinion, is my favorite part of visiting there. Their butchers are always so friendly and helpful. Their only downfall is SOME of their cashiers. They often are lost in their own conversations, and do not greet or engage their customers. They can come across as rude or unfriendly for this reason. But over all, Olivers is my go to spot for all local meats, delicious and beautiful cakes, and to-go food. Highly recommend. read more

VERY impressed! Lovely market, too drawer produce, meats, deli, ready-made cuisine is quite good and price is reasonable for quality of food. Baked items are fantastic! Their muffins and scones and cookies and turnovers and pies are wonderful! As good as a great bakery! Can't wait to get my BD cake there! Nice selection of wines and prices are decent. Better prices (by far) than Lucky and about the same as Safeway (on sale)! Oliver's has wine specials and they are very good prices. Amazing cheese and charcuterie! I'm in love with Oliver's!! Visiting Cotati for work and stopped at Oliver's for a snack. This is an amazing market. Very clean, organized, excellent selection, lots of speciality items prepared foods, cheese I could go on and on. Best part everyone was very pleasant. Picked up some coffee and just wondered around looking at all Oliver's had to offer. The spirit and wine selection was impressive. If I lived near by Oliver's would be my go too. read more

Great local neighborhood grocery store operated by the employees, who always have a smile on their faces. They also go out of their way to be very attentive and helpful (like JimBob in the Wellness Dept). Oliver's is filled with fresh produce (focusing on organic), lots of local labeled items, huge meat/fish counter, and all in between. Oh and their deli counter is amazing- great homemade soups that rotate throughout the day as well as prepared meals that can't be beat- taste homemade. I am enjoying Oliver's a lot more these days! Some very nice folks have come on board and I even have a favorite checker again. They offer more variety in cat food and deals more often. The food bar, salad bar etc have new dishes and everything is the same price which streamlined the whole process. Oliver's has made a big effort to make this location exceptional. Thanks to all the staff who handle the long lines with genuine smiles and patience. This includes the folks in the meat/seafood department, checkers, deli & hot food and produce. This review is for their Taqueria, which is not good. We finally gave up ordering from here because our orders are invariably messed up and just not worth it. Their quesadillas are always sloppy and not prepared well, with the tortillas usually soaked and falling apart. It used to be pretty good, but not the past year. It was incredible to look at and incredible to eat! This year for my sister's birthday, my nephew asked me where I had gotten the cake, he ordered a cake from Oliver's and it did not disappoint!! Unloaded them on our car parked directly in front of store, left our cart near the door and was immediately screamed at by the cart boy, "I'll take your cart, you don't have to leave it there!!!!!" There are many reasons why I love OLIVER'S MARKET. They truly live up to their slogan of "Real food, real people". I've always gotten the best service from all sections of the store & I appreciate it so very much, as you unfortunately find it less often. I feel like each member truly enjoys their job. It shows in how the customer is treated. Bravo. The store is large & bright. Oliver's offers a large assortment of specialty items as well as essentials! Just inside you'll find one of my favorite spots to stop . . a hidden gem called OLIVER'S CAFE. The cafe provides assorted cafe beverages, juices, protein shakes, & even wheatgrass shots! Thanks to all the members of the cafe who have assisted in making my difficult order! It is made so perfectly, daily! I appreciate it so much in general but especially being caffeine sensitive & still loving coffee. Maria is great & I think was the first to know my order by heart. Her or the team reminds ME daily, when I can't manage to blurt it out. It's the little things such as that, in which makes Oliver's as a whole so special. They make the customers feel special. Not only do I come here for my morning coffee & breakfast but I'm usually back for lunch. Talk about shrink-flation! For 10 years, I've been buying an orange chocolate cake for my birthday, those past 9 years, the chocolate and orange flavor both balanced out, this year, it wasn't. The chocolate flavor over powered the orange. Wtf happened? New chef? Needs to get let go. Also had the flavorless salmon, it was gross. Why leave the skin on salmon with scale? Had me sounding like the hawk-tua girl trying to spit out the scale. Very gross. That chef or preparer needs to be let go. Ya'll need some kitchen etiquette. read more

They are THE BEST! I cannot get over so many things: the staff is so very helpful, fun, and so knowledgeable about the market and know how to treat the shoppers! Cannot beat that! Of course, we all know their prices are sometimes hard to digest, but it beats, by far, going out to eat at a restaurant! All the above adds up to a great experience each and every time! Visited deli at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday morning. Wanted to visit when the deli was less crowded with customers. For the past 8 years I've placed an order for 8 sandwiches in December. Never a problem, fill out the slips, and the sandwiches get made. This visit I got push-back from the dark-haired gal at the counter. First told I should have called ahead, then told I should have placed the order with "catering". I offered to not place the order, then got an eye-roll and said she'd do it. I absolutely didn't tell her I was in a rush, nor was I rude. She put names on all the sandwiches, and knew I had ordered 2 with my name (tuna with avocado). When I opened the sandwiches later, I saw mine had no avocado although I paid the extra amount. I took this as a "back atcha" for having the nerve to inconvenience her. Very disappointed in the attitude. I'll go elsewhere next time. read more

On the weekends they bar B q outside & often have live music being played. All the staff are always awesome & any customers u cross paths are friendly . The Windsor locations is bigger & always so busy . That location is exciting , But Cotati is special , really nice vibes , more layed back then Windsor . The cafe has a very rude inept boy who wears his name tag on his hat on the side so it's difficult to see his name. I won't go back. He's either really stupid and lacks basic customer service skills or he is a smart ass that likes to antagonize customers kuz he feels empowered in his little job making coffee. His associate Alexis is equally as bad. I'm not supporting a place that bullies customers. I've been shopping at this store since e it opened. This review is about the ease and yumminess of their mobile order and pick up. I forgot my lunch at home today and a coworker had to go run an errand and offered to pick it up for me. I had never used their online ordering before so I wasn't sure what to get. Their website is super easy to navigate and their pictures make everything look appetizing. In order to keep it simple I ordered the first thing I saw. It happened to be a French dip. The meat was tasty and juicy. The caramelized onions were flavorful and the garlic aioli had huge chunks of roasted garlic. The bread was crispy and paired perfectly with the au jus. Oliver's Market is a really nice local grocery store. Always clean and stocked up. Lots of parking outside. The employees are polite, friendly and what's most importantly helpful! Olivers has really good produce, a nice sushi bar, salad bar, awesome cheese selection, and tasty sandwiches. My husband loves their outside bbq station during the summer. The meat is always fresh in the meat department. There is so much to choose from and most of it is local. The bakery has everything you could ever want. Their fruit basket cake is simply the best. We get it on almost every occasion. Every time one of us gets sick we come to Oliver's for some delicious chicken soup. I giving 5 stars because this place has always been a great go to for organics. I do have to say though I went in to get a thank you gift for my friend and her co worker . It was coffee and a banana bread I didn't know what they took in their coffee so I grabbed 2 of everything as far as suger etc. It took me a min to prepare the bags for it to be nice and as I was doing so the lady at the bakery called her supervisor and the supervisor came over to me and started drilling me saying it not a free for all and you can't just start filling up your bags with stuff . Which is not what I was doing I was just getting fixings for coffee and when I told her what I was doing she continued to drill me and I front of all the other people made me feel as if I had done something wrong which in fact I had not When I told her I had paid for everything and that it was a gif she contained to harrass me as if I was a homeless person or someone trying to steal Which is against the law to acise someone of something in a public place . It's kinda sad too see that Some of the employees now have a ego as of they are better then you. With our or purchases were would u be ? Affordable and adorable cake for my sister's 21st birthday . I customized it a little and asked for the chocolate dripping and they didn't charge me extra . I thought the live roses was such a cute touch and there was even little hint of purple edible glitter . The cake itself could have used a WAY LESS FROSTING , but for 30.00 it was decent sized and really did the trick for the occasion if you are looking for a not overly sweet cake that is also beautiful . Ordered a vegan burrito with the vegan chorizo. I asked questions to make sure the beans don't have lard in them or the Mexican rice isn't cooked with chicken broth, obviously an order tailored to someone who prefers vegan food. These guys ended up putting sour cream in it, which the super burritos apparently come with and I didn't realize. After asking questions to make sure the food is vegan, how do you not bring it to my attention and say "hey this burrito typically comes with sour cream. Do you want to leave it out?" read more

Getting discouraged with the bakery department.. I called the other day to order a cake for a birthday party the next day. I was told I needed to order 3 days ahead. I asked if they had a particular cake in the showcase and they did. I said I would pay for it and pick up the next day. I was told they do not take payments over the phone But I can put a hold on the cake and pick up... it was in the evening and I did not want to venture out so I mentioned as such. I was then told I can call back the next day and hold the cake for a few hours and if need be, hold again, as I have to work. Needless to say, there were just too many hula hoops to jump through so I went to the store the next morning and of course, the cake preferred was no longer there. Usually the stuff I get from Oliver's is first rate, but not the roasted chicken. I was in the mood for chicken. So, went through the available hot roasted chickens and found the one that looked least cooked. Got it home, cut off a leg/thigh and did a quick 30 sec microwave to reheat it. What I got was chicken jerky. Extremely dry and chewy. I guess it is like most other stores when it comes to the roasted chicken. It's a roll of the dice if it will be any good. Oliver's is a bit out of the way for me, but overall, I'm very happy with my purchases. They have a great cheese area and very knowledgeable and helpful people. Their produce is also very good. They have a good selection of other stuff too and I'll hit Oliver's before trying Whole Foods or Petaluma market for stuff I can't get or is better quality than Safeway or Lucky's. read more
