The sign guy did a great job... this how I figured out what they were serving.

Homemade chips, hearty chicken nachos for $15! Delicious flavors, thick crunchy chips, that did not get soggy, choice of black beans or refried beans, guacamole and sour cream We did not get any baked goods because it's thanksgiving and we have a lot of sweets at home, but boy did I want them!! Coffee cake, scones, bars, cakes OMG We were just passing through but think I'll have to come back for that coffee cake. The lady who served us was so friendly and she clearly had a fondness for the restaurant and the food. She also touched her heart which made me feel good. Looks like a place where locals go!

This is an order at the counter then they bring your food out to you. They have a wonderful menu and I love their outside spaces. They have music on the weekends, too. Gluten-free options as well.

This is one of my favorite local haunts. The ambience is cozy with all-wood interior and a fireplace. It's a wonderful place for meeting groups of any size with counter service and plenty of seating both inside out. The food is solid and the menu is huge with something for everyone and every diet. Really, the menu is so varied and consistently good. The people are lovely, and the happy hour is an awesome deal from 3-5 M-F. They also have weekday breakfast specials. Can you tell I practically live here? Come support this local gem!

Food was horrible. Portions were very small for the expensive price. Italian soda tasted horrible. Lunch for 2 people cost us $80. The people working were very rude and not helpful at all. We asked for more salad dressing and the waitress was annoyed to get it for us and never brought any back, she sat behind the counter and was just talking with other co-workers. There were also flys all over the dinning area. This place has gone down hill over the last year or so. I don't recommend this place anymore. We will not be going back.

Redwood Cafe is a quaint diner with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating that is perfect for a casual hang. After running with some friends in the area, we were super hungry! My friend had suggested Redwood Cafe because not only would it be open, but also he was craving their Breakfast Burrito. It was a great suggestion! When we got there Saturday morning, the vibe was chill inside with plenty of seats. It also looked like there was a stage for nights where they have open mic music for the dinner crowd. As many diners, Redwood Cafe had a pretty extensive menu with the classic brunch fare. However, I was particularly intrigued by their Triad Bodybuilding options which seemed to be curated by health coaches. Although the Breakfast Burrito still sounded super tempting, I finally settled on the Real Deal Power Meal which was four egg whites with a choice of meat and two buckwheat pancakes. For the size, the price was super reasonable and I thought the food was solid. In terms of service, you do have to go up to the counter to order and pay before taking a seat. Given how hungry we were, we appreciated that the food came out pretty quickly. Parking immediately in front of the restaurant was a bit difficult to find, but there is some on the street within walking distance. Overall, Redwood Cafe was a nice diner with plenty of decent brunch offerings especially if you are in the Cotati area.

Wednesday Brunch in Cotati. I called in the morning to confirm they are dog friendly. Theodore and I grabbed a seat on the back patio. There is a row of picnic style tables with umbrellas. We sat smack dab in the middle. Delfino greeted us with a friendly smile. He returned with water and menu. Theodore had New York Strip Steak with scrambled eggs. I had Corned Beef Hash with soft poached eggs and sourdough toast. Food arrived within 10-15 minutes. Our meal was good. I like my egg yolk a smidge more runny. Large amount of food. Delfino was attentive which is really nice. Hate having to flag down servers for condiments and such. The menu is abundant. Sure to please almost everyone. Highly recommend!

First time dining here. I was working at the Cotati Accordion Festival and met a local friend there for breakfast. Great space - versatile and well planned out. I had the Bodega Benedict. Fabulous crab cakes on an English Muffin with perfectly poached eggs and hollandaise. You order at the counter and someone brings your food. Attentive, friendly staff. These folks are pros. Don't overthink it - just go!

Cute restaurant! Friendly staff! And delicious food from a great menu with many options. I'd love to try more next time I'm in this neck of the woods :) Being from the south, I love me a great classic chicken and waffles, and this one did not disappoint!

Super tasty and clean food with great service and ambiance. I got the humus wrap and added chicken. Came with with a white bean minestrone that was amazing. My table was right next to a fireplace which was really nice as well. Super friendly staff. Would repeat.

Was in Cotati for business. Wanted to see some Jazz on Saturday night. They had a nice stage pretty good band. Ordered a Steak, vegies and fry's. Price was great and portion was nice. Steak was rare as i like it. Vegetables were crisp and freshly made as were the fries! A great deal. Order a Saint Francis Zin (just lovely) . A nice friendly place great service and a little jazz!

Jazz Jam, #StellaHeath singing, and that clarinet/saxophone player was FABULOUS

But mainly, I come here for the ice cream and the fun Bigfoot theming. I love places with good theming and places that serve the community. Squatches does a lot. They offer inexpensive food for the students, really good housemade cookies and pastries, lots of coffee and tea drinks plus their selection of ice cream flavors. On this particular visit I had a scoop of their rocky road Ice cream with hot fudge on it. My wife a scoop of their lemon cookie ice cream. The portion sizes for a single scoop is pretty big, so get a kids size if you don't want that much. The ice cream was delicious and I'm always happy to support this place and their mission to serve community.

To our surprise, there weren't many options open at this time of day... but we did find Squatch's Ice Cream & Coffee. The place is tucked away in a small strip mall. The interior gives off an outdoorsy feel with wood on the wall, wood as tables, actual wood stump as stools. The walls also had a painted mountain range silhouette along with posters and maps about Bigfoot and its sightings. On the floor, there are Sasquatch/Bigfoot prints that lead to the ordering line. This is where the workers were helpful in explaining the menu where they pointed out their seasonal drinks, ice cream, cinnamon rolls and more. Once they pointed out their cookies... we were hooked (1 cookie for $1, 6 for $5, 12 for $12).. we got a variety of 6 cookies. They were soft, sweet, with a nice chew to them. They had one of the largest assortment of flavored syrups I have seen. Even carrying top brands: Torani, Da Vinci, and Monin. I chose the Peppermint Hot Chocolate (probably could use more chocolate) and a seasonal special Iced Graham cracker latte. (sugary and sweet like teddy grams in a Carmel macchiato) With the a nice menu full of flavors and numerous possible combinations of drinks and desserts (ex:cinnamon roll ice cream sandwiches) I would definitely come back to treat my sweet tooth or caffeine fix. I also recommend taking a look at their cool Squatch Merch while you are there!

Our server was incredibly friendly, and the entire room shared the same warm, easygoing vibe. The small, speakeasy themed space was already packed at 5 PM, so reservations seem like a must. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious, but the standout dishes were the beet salad and the shrimp & grits. The beet salad had a perfect mix of textures; chopped pistachios, tender beets, and crunchy radishes over a pillowy ricotta. I finished the salad wishing there was more. The shrimp & grits featured a potlikker sauce that absolutely lived up to the hype; it made the dish. I wish the shrimp & grits were served in a bowl rather than a shallow dish. I found myself chasing the sauce and polenta around the plate, trying not to push it over the edge. That said, if it were in a bowl, I might have just drank the sauce, so perhaps this is the restaurant's way of preserving a bit of dignity for its guests. Next time, I'm hoping to visit when oyster po' boys and fried green tomatoes are on the menu.

The vibe is effortlessly chill, with whimsical decor--think antique lamps, an old record player, and lots of little details that make you want to look around. The whole place felt alive in the best way--buzzing with conversation, laughter, and people clearly having a great time. We didn't have a reservation, but lucked out with seats at the community table. Bonus: the other guests were super welcoming, which just added to the fun, communal feel. We hit happy hour, and wow--it's a good one. Tons of interesting bites and a solid drink lineup. I went with a whiskey sour, my friend had the ginger beer on draft (very refreshing), and we shared the prawns, Brussels sprouts, and creamy mac & cheese. Everything was seriously delicious. Shoutout to our server, Melanie--friendly, attentive, and totally on it, even with the place packed. A couple things to note: it does get loud, so maybe not your spot if you're after a quiet, intimate dinner. Also, the happy hour menu listed Brussels sprouts but didn't mention bacon--I'm vegetarian, so that was a bit of a surprise. (It is noted on the regular dinner menu, which I admittedly didn't check.) All in all, such a fun, lively spot. I'll definitely be back for more bites and cocktails.
