Very kind staff! Quick to respond. Lots of breakfast choices! I was so happy they had no problem making me exactly what I wanted. It's quite cozy.

I was in town on business and my battery died. Rather than wait at Brodie's to get a new battery, I decided to walk down to the cafe to get some lunch. The interior looks like nothing more than an old Denny's and honestly, I might have walked out if I wasn't stranded. I am happy to say, my first impression was wrong. I ordered iced tea and the Jalapeño burger with fries. The ice tea is fresh brewed and super yummy. I'm gonna regret having 4 glasses of tea before my 5 hour drive home. The jalapeño was served whole atop the burger, toreado-style and was nice and spicy. The fries were battered fries and also super yummy. The ranch dip for the fries was perfect. Last but not least, the service. The staff was attentive but that's not what caught my attention. It's clear this is a spot for the locals because the gal behind the counter seemed to know everyone's name and she was super sweet. I would definitely be a regular customer here if I didn't live 5 hours away. Thank you for a nice spot to wait out my repairs and for a super yummy lunch!

Great breakfast and lunch spot! I came by with my boyfriend who loves this place when he's working nearby. It's a family owned and operated business and they are very dedicated to the locals they serve. It's very admirable and hard to find, pretty awesome! They have a lot of options for lunch like the beautiful salad he ordered to sandwiches soup and hamburgers. He ordered the Chef Salad ($13) plus shrimp +($3). I ordered hamburger ($9) with side salad (+$1). I love that my salad base was "real" lettuce, hand shredded, not the pre bagged stuff. The patty for my hamburger was hand formed not a frozen disc. BFs salad was piled with lots of meat and cheese, but also beautiful vegetables. I feel like they make meals for you with care: the intention that you should leave full and happy. Definitely recommend! I would love to try breakfast here! COVID: they are totally following all regulations to provide the safest experience for you. All seating is outside on the back parking lot as well.

I was visiting from Texas and everything here was delicious, I will definitely be returning. A lot of food and great prices. All the wait staff was super nice and everyone's plate was left clean. Wish we had one of theses back home. Everything was made from scratch.

    It was ALMOST perfect

Our server was incredibly friendly, and the entire room shared the same warm, easygoing vibe. The small, speakeasy themed space was already packed at 5 PM, so reservations seem like a must. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious, but the standout dishes were the beet salad and the shrimp & grits. The beet salad had a perfect mix of textures; chopped pistachios, tender beets, and crunchy radishes over a pillowy ricotta. I finished the salad wishing there was more. The shrimp & grits featured a potlikker sauce that absolutely lived up to the hype; it made the dish. I wish the shrimp & grits were served in a bowl rather than a shallow dish. I found myself chasing the sauce and polenta around the plate, trying not to push it over the edge. That said, if it were in a bowl, I might have just drank the sauce, so perhaps this is the restaurant's way of preserving a bit of dignity for its guests. Next time, I'm hoping to visit when oyster po' boys and fried green tomatoes are on the menu.

The vibe is effortlessly chill, with whimsical decor--think antique lamps, an old record player, and lots of little details that make you want to look around. The whole place felt alive in the best way--buzzing with conversation, laughter, and people clearly having a great time. We didn't have a reservation, but lucked out with seats at the community table. Bonus: the other guests were super welcoming, which just added to the fun, communal feel. We hit happy hour, and wow--it's a good one. Tons of interesting bites and a solid drink lineup. I went with a whiskey sour, my friend had the ginger beer on draft (very refreshing), and we shared the prawns, Brussels sprouts, and creamy mac & cheese. Everything was seriously delicious. Shoutout to our server, Melanie--friendly, attentive, and totally on it, even with the place packed. A couple things to note: it does get loud, so maybe not your spot if you're after a quiet, intimate dinner. Also, the happy hour menu listed Brussels sprouts but didn't mention bacon--I'm vegetarian, so that was a bit of a surprise. (It is noted on the regular dinner menu, which I admittedly didn't check.) All in all, such a fun, lively spot. I'll definitely be back for more bites and cocktails.

It had been a while since we had last come here, so it was fun to be back and enjoy some of our favorite beers. It was a beautiful day, and they had live music. They also had a couple of large-screen TVs set up showing the World Cup game. Our server was very helpful, answering our questions about beer and bringing us a couple of samples before deciding what to order. I asked for my favorite light beer, DayTime, and we decided to share an order of chicken wings, fries, and their P-Town Chop Salad. The beer was as good as I remembered, and the food was well-made and delicious, especially the wings (with Buffalo sauce). They allow dogs, as long as they are well-behaved and on a leash, so our little guy had fun saying hello to a couple of dogs that were sitting nearby in between his breaks from begging for treats from the table. We really enjoy the vibe of downtown Petaluma, and the ambiance of the restaurant was nicely set with fresh cut flowers in the dinning room. The service was outstanding from start to finish, but what really impressed me was seeing Chef/Owner Tony Najiola actively overseeing every aspect of the operation. He visited tables, checked on guests, and was clearly involved in every detail of the dining experience.
