This place is such a gem to have found. The food was made quickly and was so delicious. I'll definitely be back (even just for the blueberry coffee cake )

We are super lucky to have this restaurant in Petaluma. Such a great location and vibe with the small airplanes landing and taking off, and a really cooool 'diner vibe' for sure. And the food! Great selections, excellent portions and staff (many of which have been there for years) are so nice and friendly. Special shout out to Sandra who is so warm and genial and though she'll spend time chatting with you (making you seem like there's no one else in the diner) make no mistake she has her eyes all around the packed diner and was off to help where needed. Cheers Sandra and owners Nate and Corine - we will be back (as always) sooner rather than later!

Firstly the restaurant accommodated nine of us on a busy Sunday morning. Second our great waitress was so patient and attentive. Our food came fast with plenty of coffee, lots of refills, ice water and toast for all. The food was perfect hot and plenty of on each of our plates. Fantastic breakfast! This is a fab spot for watching planes take off. Don't miss out when in Petaluma!!! I bought 2 tshirts too!!

This past Sunday I had some friends visiting & wanted to take them to a classic styled diner & NINER DINER seemed to fit the bill. I loved the vibe of the interior & of course, the food looked tasty! Plus I thought it was cool with the understanding that the restaurant is on the Petaluma airport grounds! HOW COOL! Leslie was our server. She was super friendly as well as attentive throughout our entire dining experience. Kudos to Leslie management! [MY ORDER] COUNTRY PILOT (A LA CARTE) Two eggs (any style) served with homemade Biscuits and gravy & hangar fries Comments: I loved my breakfast. The eggs were cooked to a perfect over medium, just like I like it! The potatoes were soft but first & had lovely crispy bits here & there. The biscuits & gravy tasted better than it looked. It had great flavor but just wished it was a little thicker & biscuits were good but I wished they were fluffier. Overall, great breakfast spot & I would certainly return for this or to try new dishes! Thank you so kindly for hosting my friends & I! Cheers!

Avocado toast with scrambled eggs? I had asked for fried egg so scrambled eggs with balsamic vinegar was an interesting flavor combination.

This restaurant recently reopened. It was my first time here and I think got this place has potential. Pros: Plenty of parking with indoor and outdoor seating Lots of breakfast and lunch options Friendly staff AMAZING coffee! Room for improvement: I don't think that they were prepared for some many people in their reopening week. Orders were running late and tables who got there after us got their food first. It took about 40 minutes to get a table and about 30 minutes to get our food. The majority of my table enjoyed their food. Sadly my food order was not that great; they also didn't make it the way I requested. I will go back in a few months to try it again as I do think it has potential.

We did a morning fly-in to Petaluma Municipal airport (O69) for some $100 hamburger, or shall I say $100 breakfast to Two Niner Diner. It has been well recommended in the pilot community that this restaurant have good food, so we went ahead and flew in to try it out. Two Niner Diner is conveniently located at transient parking and spots are available close to the restaurant. Upon entering, Two Niner Diner has the same vibe as other restaurants located in an airport: aviation memorabilia and old diner charm abound. This is a medium sized restaurant with ample indoor seating as well as patio seats that have great views of planes landing and departing. In my typical breakfast routine, I ordered their Chicken Fried Steak. Wifey ordered some eggs benedict, and the kids ordered waffles and a Sandwich pancake (with eggs and bacon inside) accordingly. The food came just a few moments later. Wow. Okay I did not expect that. But wow, that is some serious delicious chicken fired steak! As a matter of fact, I could think none better than Two Niner Diner's chicken fried steak; that means a lot! The meat was generously seasoned and tender, and the crust was very crunchy. The gravy was savory and thick, just the way I liked it. The pancake sandwich was very innovative and it is just the way my son likes it: all the breakfast items rolled into one neat package. The pancake was very delicious. The waffles? Just as good as well. It has a good crunch on the outside and very fluffy inside. If there are any improvements, I would say it would be the eggs benedict. We wished the egg could be a tad more runny and the hollandaise sauce though felt made from scratch, its a little far off from your typical hollandaise taste. Also, I wished that they have hash though their potatoes are just as well seasoned. So pilots! I wholeheartedly recommend Two Niner Diner are one of your $100 hamburger (or breakfast) destination. That legendary chicken fried steak had made a very excellent impression on me.

Classic egg breakfast with not so classic DELICIOUS VEGGIE SAUSAGE.

I'm actually glad it's not closer to home, because I'd be here all the time. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the whole place has a great 1950s diner vibe with old photos, memorabilia, and music from that era. I had the eggs benedict both mornings, once with the house potatoes and once with the hash browns. Both potato sides were excellent. The house potatoes had crispy bits, creamy centers, and a dollop of sour cream, while the hash browns were crisp outside and soft inside. I swear I cannot make potatoes like that at home. The eggs benedict were also outstanding. Instead of a thin slice of ham or Canadian bacon, they used a real ham steak. I love eggs benedict, and these were some of the best I've had. My partner had the chicken fried chicken one morning and chicken and waffles the next, and loved both. He also shared a biscuit with me, which was very good. I was tempted by the biscuits and gravy on day two, but the eggs benedict were too good not to order again.

Great value!! I suspect that the breakfast menu is where all the real winners are. At dinner time, I saw multiple plates come out with what appeared to be pancakes. Fried Chicken - crispy outside, tender juicy inside, but under seasoned. Mashed potatoes were good. Turkey Dinner - Good quality turkey cooked well, (not dried out), but under seasoned. Spaghetti - Pasta was cooked well, but sauce was one dimentional. Very sweet tomatoey. It's how I imagine spaghetti was served in the 1960s. Bacon Cheese Burger - hands down the best food to hit our table. Burger cooked a perfect MR served on a soft chibatta style roll. Gooey American cheese and bacon is a classic. Biggest gripe was the gravy. It had an unusual spiced profile that was difficult to pinpoint. Possibly cinnamon or All Spice? Whatever it was, it overwhelmed the food you ate with it. It was so strong, I would guess you either love this gravy, or you hate it. Despite my critique, I will return for the atmosphere and the value (and probably breakfast next time). We ordered 4 entrees, drinks, and 2 glasses of wine, and it came to $140 pre-tip. None of us could finish our plates so we had leftovers the next day.
