    Bocadillo

I can't believe I haven't come here until now! Hidden gem in Petaluma. It's a small place and there's outdoor and indoor seating. They have so many coffee choices both hot and cold and are very unique and good! We've gotten a variety of dishes- picnic plate, shawarma chicken, bocadillo, and lamb burger. The beet hummus in the picnic plate was delicious! The baba ganoush was pureed very smoothly, which I'm not used to but it tasted okay. Their lamb burger is the best! Very tender. I loved the shishitos in the shawarma chicken, it was super filling. The bread for the bocadillo was perfectly toasted and the porchetta was tasty. I wish it had more meat. All prices already include tip. Service was great! It's always one person, Annette who's there serving all the tables. Very impressive!

I drive to Petaluma just to have breakfast at Pearl. The food is delicious and totally unique. There is nothing like it in the north bay. Above all, their Mediterranean style coffee drinks are one of a kind. Seriously, check out the menu! I wish most coffee shops offered the mocktail style coffees.

Pearl is truly a delightful dining experience! I've eaten here twice and every bite was delicious and novel. This recent visit I had the blackened cod with citrus slaw and olive bread toast with spicy shrimp salad on it. My picture does not do it justice - it was AMAZING! The ambience is very European - it is not a quick eat and leave it is a slow prepare, enjoy your time and taste buds! They also have a novel approach of no tips allowed, tips are in the price of the meal. So relaxing and the staff looks happy and comfortable. Pearl gets all the stars!!!

What a hidden neighborhood gem! The wait staff were super friendly and flexible and gave a nice vibe. The food was tasty and unique. The drinks menu was also impressive, lots of variety. There were 4 so we tried a few different things. Started with drinks-horchata, espresso, Turkish coffee, & beet turmeric tonic. All great. Then to their entrees, lamb burger, roasted black cod salad, shaksuka and brisket. All were delicious but the egg in the shaksuka was so so tough. The outdoor space is in front , with lovely neighborhood families &pets strolling around. What a great spot for delicious fare! Plus no tipping is allowed.

The best shakshuka I've ever had in my life and it's not even CLOSE. Go here. Incredible ambience, great service and the food is out of this world. I might move to Petaluma just to be able to eat this more often

    French Omelet

I tried this place a while ago around brunch time and it was incredibly packed and kept on packing. People were pouring in. Being in Petaluma I didn't even know about it, but glad I found it! Food on Yelp looked excellent, so I gave it a try! They were out of what I originally wanted to order so I decided to go for the French Omelette. I wasn't too excited at first. . I've had many great omelettes (thinking the "french" name was just a fancy nickname for a great omelette) . But boy oh boy. . I could've ate that silky omelette with no teeth at all. . Sooooo soft and silky and it just melted in my mouth . . Super delicious, high quality food. It's a cosy place that feels hip. There's an open kitchen so you can see the chef and cooks cook. Staff was hustling when I went (like I said super busy). There's bar seating and tables around, as well as some tables outside. Lots of nice drink options to choose from. I had the morning fog which was nice and relaxing . I definitely want to go back soon and try some of their other options.

I had one of those meals where I was really jealous of what my friends ordered and a bit disappointed with my own. I don't remember the exact name of my dish (and since the menu changes, I couldn't find it), but it was basically a large chicken breast that tasted pretty plain, rubbery, and bony. I usually love chicken, but this one just didn't hit the mark for me. That said, my friends' dishes, the shakshuka and the stew, looked and smelled amazing, and they said they were delicious. Paying $30+ for what felt like a pretty mediocre meal left me disappointed, but no hate at all, I think it just wasn't the right pick on my part. The restaurant itself is adorable, tucked into a cozy suburban neighborhood, with a friendly, small-town vibe where everyone seems to know each other.

Worth trying for brunch. At first glance, the menu items may seem pricey but that's because they already include tip. Took a while to get our food, ~30 mins. The Shakshuka was definitely the star of the show + the pita add-on was needed. The Cassoulet was good but we disliked the excessive amount of beans cooked into it

The food here is the main reason I come. The happy hour is great for a little lower costs on a few of their food items. We love ordering some meatballs, a salad, and one of their pizzas. The pizza we had was their Green Goddess and it was delicious! I also ordered their fresh baked sourdough with butter and it's one of the most comforting foods to me. I also got their Seafood Pasta, which reminds me of my East coast, Italian roots. The Italian sausage in the dish works beautifully with the assortment of perfectly cooked seafood and pasta. The gumbo was superb, creamy, with chunks of sausage and not too spicy nor salty just the right amount of herbs & spices, very tasty. Then we ordered the fried chicken dinner another winner. We were going to order only 1 churro but the server offered that the churros are gluten free so we ordered two orders! The menu doesn't say this, so FYI. Salad was good, nice mix of greens. A little wet for my taste if I'm choosing but I'm also not complaining, it was yummy. The potatoes were a perfect dish to come with the salad since otherwise it didn't have a crunch element. This is the first time I've gotten the collar and it was as meaty as it is. I've ordered at other restaurants before and it was not as successful of a dish as here. Loved the sauce and flavors on it. It was kinda sticky due to the sauce but I mean that in a good way, to add to the flavor and overall balance of texture and flavor The snapper lettuce wraps were also yummy! Kind of laborious to get the fish to eat ready but worth the effort, same with the collar too, but also worth the "work" to get the meat off the bones. The snapper has a lot of pin bones but otherwise really yummy bite. The rock wall in the alley creates a whole vibe with the lights and such. It is also one of the oldest walls in Petaluma, which is pretty cool. Slim menu but excellent. The restaurant is tiny, like 6 tables. Being on the patio was nice, more room. Our meal split 4 ways was delicious and filling but also light and sat well in our bellies. I'd absolutely come back again.

This review reflects my experience with the restaurant's gift card process and, more specifically,…read morethe lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability from owner Tony Najiola over the course of several months. This review is not a reflection of the restaurant's food, service, or dining experience. In November 2025 I purchased a $150 gift card through Central Market's website via Toast. The gift card was never received. I first reached out in February 2026 to inquire about the missing gift card. Tony responded the following day suggesting that I may have been scammed. After I clarified that the purchase was made directly through Central Market's website, he acknowledged that he had misunderstood, stated that this was a known issue, and told me he would contact Toast to investigate. March 2026: A month passed with no update whatsoever. I called the restaurant and spoke with Tony directly. He told me that I would need to contact Toast myself--a completely different answer from what had previously been discussed. April 2026: I informed Tony via email that Toast's customer service system specifically states that support is intended for restaurant businesses, not customers. I followed up again by email on 4/30 asking if he had received my message and whether there was any update. I have received no response since. What is most disappointing is the lack of clarity and consistency throughout this process. At various points, I was told I may have been scammed, then told it was a known issue that would be investigated, and finally told to resolve it myself through a company that does not provide support to customers in this situation. Not once was there a proactive update, clear explanation, or meaningful attempt to resolve the issue. More than five months after paying $150, I still do not have the gift card (which was intended as a Christmas present for a close friend), a refund, or even the courtesy of a response to my follow-up emails. When a business takes a customer's money, there should be some level of accountability when something goes wrong. At this point, I can only conclude that customer service is not a priority. The complete lack of communication and follow-through has left me feeling that my concerns--and my business--simply do not matter. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others against purchasing gift cards through their website.
