This was my first trip to this restaurant it happened to be Mother's Day. I had the Chophouse Burger, it was cooked to perfection with the beautiful char lines and flavor perfectly cooked medium and it was truly delicious! The french fries were nothing less than excellent and they gave you plenty "no shortage here". I would highly recommend this place but it's a bit pricey, however well worth the few extra dollars. I gave it a four star rating only because I'd like to see the price come down just a few dollars otherwise a five star. Oh and great staff too.

Came here for Happy Hour and loved their food menu. Ahi Poke is especially good deal. We got cauliflower, chicken wings and chicken quesadilla. Everything tasted great! Happy hour is at 3-6 pm from Monday to Saturday. You can watch the games there too.

Came here with friends on Christmas day. It gives a country home-y vibe. We were seated immediately and our server came soon afterwards to take our drink order. I had Baileys and coffee, while my friend had a Mermaid Bellini (midori). Both very good. For brunch, I had the California omelet, my friend had the chilaquillas, and her partner had the Morning quesadilla. They give you a lot of food, and all of it was well prepared and tasty.

Wow--such a great experience! Sabrina was incredibly warm and accommodating for us as a walk-in, which instantly set the tone. Jessica the bartender made an amazing raspberry lemon drop--honestly one of the best I've had. The onion rings were perfectly crispy with a panko crust and super flavorful. Friendly service and solid food/drinks all around. Highly recommend!

Lunch at Cafe Bellini did not disappoint. Our party of 5 dined around noon on a Saturday with no wait. The outside sitting is a plus on a nice day. The portions are big at Cafe Bellini. Almost all had to go boxes for salads and sandwiches. Our server was attentive and made sure refills were coming in. Next time I am in the area, I will visit again!

Breakfast was fantastic. Busy place but super fast service and food. The Corned Beef Hash with eggs is delicious. I love the crust on the hash, and the potatoes are excellent. Big portion too! Highly recommended!

We live Santa Rosa and pretty much have tried every great breakfast spot in town. We wanted to try something different so o looked up what was new to me in Petaluma and saw this Bellini cafe. The menu looks amazing; i wish there were sample platters! We had to try Bellini due to the name, i forgot to take pic. Hubby had classic orange juice mimosa style, i had tropical which was with pineapple syrup and coconut rum; fun! I couldn't decide, and next time i can't wait to try Avocado toast, a few of the Benedicts, their omelette, the crème brûlée French toast, and so many other interesting creations seen in the menu. When i was trying to decide, out server was attentive but not helpful with decisions as he said everything was good and UPS can't go eating with anything. He should know the plates a little better for folks taste. My son got the morning quesadilla which he thought was great. My husband really wanted steak which they did not have on breakfast menu but they gave him one anyway that he enjoyed with side egg. I got the breakfast risotto, which was very tasty but not what i expected/ much more like a pile of stir-fried rice. It came with poached egg which i don't like so i had them fried. It would have been so much nicer with the flavorful sautéed veggies topping a true creamy risotto, and not all mixed in. Plus risotto not done right, it was not saucy / creamy enough, just a pile of tasty rice mixed with tasty veggies. Portions were very large so you can easily share. Service was good, other than no help with menu decisions. Interior of restaurant looks nice but exterior location is boring on the corner of McDowell and Washington st, across from large shopping center. I would give 3.5 stars if an option, but going to 4 since there are so many things I'd like to try on menu. But the place would be great for groups and hear they have wonderful happy hour.

We stumbled upon this gem while looking for a kid-friendly spot near our Thanksgiving dinner location. We arrived around 7:00 pm, just as the dinner rush was winding down. Service Our server, Laura, was friendly, patient, and accommodating - especially considering we had a toddler in tow! Ambiance The restaurant had a sizable seating area, making it easy to accommodate our family. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Food We ordered the cabernet braised short ribs, mushroom risotto, and tri-tip dip. Portions were generous! Plate sizing reminded me of the presentation style at Cheesecake Factory. The short ribs were tender and paired perfectly with the mashed potatoes. The mushroom risotto was flavorful and well-seasoned. The tri-tip dip was solid, especially with the au jus sauce. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by this hidden gem. The food, ambiance, and friendly staff make it a definite revisit. Highly recommend!

Stopped by for a weekday lunch. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. All tables were full by 1:30. Our server was friendly and attentive and didn't rush us to order. Lunch menu is pretty extensive so it took a little while to decide. Ordered the tostadas, which were tasty and the albacore tuna melt which was also very good. I would recommend to anyone looking for quality food at fair prices.

The food was great! The potatoes were a fan favourite! We were there for a private event (birthday party) and the service was excellent. They gave us a private room and let the party decorate.

Ask the Community - Cafe Bellini

    Serving st Patrick's dinner?

Yes! I was there for lunch today and asked if they had any corned beef and cabbage and the wait staff informed me that they would start serving it at 3 PM. Since it's almost 4 PM you should be good to go.

    Where is parking?

Right in front. It's a large parking lot that is in front of the restaurant and wraps around the side.

Are dogs allowed in their outside patio area?

Yes. There's always a lot of dogs with people eating outside. Especially on the weekends.

Do they have a happy hour? If so, what are the hours? Thanks

The rather delectable looking menu, and the drinks specials are listed on their website.

I can't seem to find your hours here, can you please let us know what your hours are? Thank you!

    Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm Friday and Saturday 8am-9pm Sunday 8am-3pm

    Is there a Full bar?

    Yes

We visited the distillery next to Hotel Petaluma around 8 pm with a group of six (family, including my dad and uncle). Most of the patrons inside were white, and our waitress was an older white woman. From the moment we walked in, there was visible irritation about our party size. When my uncle picked up a chair so we could sit together, we were met with looks and attitude instead of any help. The overall vibe was cold and dismissive, and it made us feel unwelcome and judged. As a Mexican family in a room where nearly everyone else was white, the way we were treated felt targeted and uncomfortable. Whether intentional or not, the service came across as biased and unwelcoming. It's just really unfortunate, because this is a place we've supported for years. We left feeling embarrassed and upset, and that's not the experience you expect from a place in hospitality.

After seeing the menu, my number one choice was the beef Wellington, second choice would have been the Bijou Burger. Scooping both halves was the best of both worlds. The dip was smooth and great flavors, I would get this again. Then when the entrees came out, and we started eating, half way throught both items were quite heavy and we started to feeling full. The beef Wellington was cooked to a medium consistency, the crust as still firm and mushroom filing great. The oxtail was so tender, it falls off the bone. A different flavoring but fantastic. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like guests into someone's home. The atmosphere is calm, inviting, and thoughtfully arranged, with well-spaced tables and a comfortable bar area that makes it an ideal spot for happy hour cocktail--something I especially appreciated since they honor happy hour at the tables as well. Bijou is led by Co-Chefs and Co-Owners Stéphane Saint Louis and Steven Vargas, who have created a truly memorable, approachable French-inspired dining experience. Chef Vargas was present during our visit and took the time to speak with us, which always elevates an evening. He and the entire Bijou team are personable, genuine, and down to earth--you can feel the care they bring to both the food and the hospitality. The menu and décor are understated, but don't mistake that for simplicity. Every dish we had was thoughtfully composed, beautifully plated, and perfectly executed. Flavors were balanced, seasonal, and never overworked--nothing was over-sauced or overthought. Each plate stood confidently on its own, and everything arrived at the proper temperature, which speaks to the kitchen's attention to detail. Our female server was knowledgeable and offered excellent recommendations that enhanced the experience. A special shoutout to Dan who clearly takes pride in ensuring guests enjoy their time. His knowledge of spirits and willingness to share his favorites added an extra personal touch. I've seen some comments about pricing, but I found it to be very reasonable given the quality of the food, Crafted Cocktails, service, and overall experience--especially for this level of execution in the Bay Area. I'll let the photos speak for themselves, but Bijou left a lasting impression. It's a place that proves you don't need an elaborate menu or flashy décor to deliver something truly special--just passion, balance, and genuine hospitality. Give the Bijou a visit, be present and enjoy what Chef Vargas and his team have to offer. Bravo Chef Vargas and Bijou Family well done and see you soon. Special note if you are a Chartreuse fan you definitely want to visit Bijou as they have a respectable selection which is rare to find.

We were going to order only 1 churro but the server offered that the churros are gluten free so we ordered two orders! The menu doesn't say this, so FYI. Salad was good, nice mix of greens. A little wet for my taste if I'm choosing but I'm also not complaining, it was yummy. The potatoes were a perfect dish to come with the salad since otherwise it didn't have a crunch element. This is the first time I've gotten the collar and it was as meaty as it is. I've ordered at other restaurants before and it was not as successful of a dish as here. Loved the sauce and flavors on it. It was kinda sticky due to the sauce but I mean that in a good way, to add to the flavor and overall balance of texture and flavor The snapper lettuce wraps were also yummy! Kind of laborious to get the fish to eat ready but worth the effort, same with the collar too, but also worth the "work" to get the meat off the bones. The snapper has a lot of pin bones but otherwise really yummy bite. The rock wall in the alley creates a whole vibe with the lights and such. It is also one of the oldest walls in Petaluma, which is pretty cool. Slim menu but excellent. The restaurant is tiny, like 6 tables. Being on the patio was nice, more room. Our meal split 4 ways was delicious and filling but also light and sat well in our bellies. I'd absolutely come back again.

I ordered the scallops and my husband got the lobster roll and we both very much enjoyed our meals. Mine came with three large scallops in a light sauce on a bed of vegetables. There were a bunch of shaved carrots and everything really came together nicely! I saw a few other smaller parties relaxing on the couches with drinks. I appreciated the option of having a more low-key option to a sit down restaurant when I was having a rare night out with friends.
