We were in town for a short time and stopped by for lunch. It was a relaxed, not too busy restaurant and seemed to have a lot of options. We opted to share the Birria Hash and thankfully it was so much food that we were both satisfied. The pancakes were fluffy and the sandwich was pretty good. I think the food is good, if you are hungry and don't want to be disappointed this would be a good place to stop by. My personal feud with restaurants today, this one being an example, is how overpriced everything is. For three meals it was $81. The pancakes were good, but $17 for normal pancakes is crazy, and it came with no sides so we added fries which just seemed like frozen reheated fries that were $7. I have been to Bellinis several times when I go to Petaluma. I had two beers in the bar. Ashley was a friendly bartender and gave good service. However I did have breakfast and I wasn't too happy with that. She told me how the bill is presented which after the explanation it made sense. But here's the issue I had. The waitress Veronica came up and said hello. She didn't smile, nice but lacking personality for waitressing I left her a good tip only because I know the tips are what they survive on I waitressed for many years So I can tell a really good one from a fair one to a bad one I had other waitresses there before that were exceptional!! Anyway.... I told her I wanted decaf and she said it would take five minutes. Well I knew it would take longer than that So that's okay But she took my order for bacon eggs and potatoes and toast That came quickly not delivered by her at all. Some guy and my coffee still wasn't ready I would have liked to had my coffee to drink I was halfway through my bacon and eggs before coffee came The potatoes were old and greasy. I told the guy and waved him over But then Veronica saw me flagging him over She told me my options and said that the pancakes would be $3.00 extra. I really don't get that? So big disappointment on the breakfast. I told Ashley I was going to leave a review, a good one, but that is because she was a great bartender. But the other experience was awful And the owner would definitely recognize me if I saw him. Service - my first time with Kim, our server. Great! Food: I stumbled around with my order and she said "you want your hamburger rare, "Plain and dry", grilled onions on the side, and hot chocolate. Cafe Bellini normally is my favorite place! However today I didn't have a great experience at all, my food was very over cooked! The bacon is a day old you literally can see it. The pancakes were burnt and hard to eat, like I didn't know it was that hard to cook pancakes! The potatoes are extremely hard too, I didn't even touch them, and once I complained to their server she wasn't helpful at all and had a HUGE ATTITUDE which I didn't appreciate either. If you want someone to be rude and not helpful to you then yes come on down to Cafe Bellini were the food is a day old and the pancakes are burnt and dry as heck! We live Santa Rosa and pretty much have tried every great breakfast spot in town. We wanted to try something different so o looked up what was new to me in Petaluma and saw this Bellini cafe. The menu looks amazing; i wish there were sample platters! We had to try Bellini due to the name, i forgot to take pic. Hubby had classic orange juice mimosa style, i had tropical which was with pineapple syrup and coconut rum; fun! I couldn't decide, and next time i can't wait to try Avocado toast, a few of the Benedicts, their omelette, the crème brûlée French toast, and so many other interesting creations seen in the menu. When i was trying to decide, out server was attentive but not helpful with decisions as he said everything was good and UPS can't go eating with anything. He should know the plates a little better for folks taste. My son got the morning quesadilla which he thought was great. My husband really wanted steak which they did not have on breakfast menu but they gave him one anyway that he enjoyed with side egg. I got the breakfast risotto, which was very tasty but not what i expected/ much more like a pile of stir-fried rice. It came with poached egg which i don't like so i had them fried. It would have been so much nicer with the flavorful sautéed veggies topping a true creamy risotto, and not all mixed in. Plus risotto not done right, it was not saucy / creamy enough, just a pile of tasty rice mixed with tasty veggies. Portions were very large so you can easily share. Service was good, other than no help with menu decisions. Interior of restaurant looks nice but exterior location is boring on the corner of McDowell and Washington st, across from large shopping center. I would give 3.5 stars if an option, but going to 4 since there are so many things I'd like to try on menu. But the place would be great for groups and hear they have wonderful happy hour. read more

This was my first trip to this restaurant it happened to be Mother's Day. I had the Chophouse Burger, it was cooked to perfection with the beautiful char lines and flavor perfectly cooked medium and it was truly delicious! The french fries were nothing less than excellent and they gave you plenty "no shortage here". I would highly recommend this place but it's a bit pricey, however well worth the few extra dollars. I gave it a four star rating only because I'd like to see the price come down just a few dollars otherwise a five star. Oh and great staff too. read more

My husband and I have given the code name "early bird special" to this place because that's the code we use when we both want to go here! Café Bellini checks all the boxes in all the right ways! We have had meals from all over the menu, ranging from breakfast to dessert and everything in between. Some of the things that we super enjoy are the breakfast quesadilla, the breakfast risotto, the short rib, grilled cheese sandwich, the beet salad, and oh my goodness... You wouldn't think it... But the spaghetti with meatballs! Also have to give a shout out to the crème brûlée French toast... It's definitely not as sweet as you would expect it to be... But it is amazing! It melts in your mouth and the fresh berries are always perfectly sweet... Let us not forget the mascarpone on the side... I think people often mistake it for butter and if they do and don't eat it... They are for sure missing out because it is delightful. We go there so often that I think the weight staff starting to know us... Maybe we'll have our own booth soon! This is a great place for everybody from families to groups to a place. I would definitely go and sit in the bar and get a meal by myself if I needed to. It gets pretty busy on the weekends for brunch, and rightfully so... Every dish is delicious. I think what we ordered influenced this OK rating. The place was popular busy, menu was fantastic, waitperson (Laura) was terrific and it was clean. I had the rib hash with two eggs over medium ($24). Potatoes were just yuck. They were "tired" like they had been sitting around to long, soggy and were flavorless. In fact, this plate was "dry", nothing sticking together. And the eggs were more over hard than medium, so there was no egg yolk to mix around to hydrate the plate. Wife had the short rib grilled cheese ($20) that looked and tasted pretty good. She also ordered a side of onion rings and those were nicely original, cooked perfectly and with the ranch dressing were yummy. We will need to return to give them another shot at a higher rating. read more
