I forgot to take pictures of the dessert, but they're delicious . Not disappointed at all. The place is in a nice location, if you are in town you gotta try it.

Omg, heaven. I was an early kickstart supporter and moved away before they opened. What a joy to come back and finally eat some of the incredible pastries. Absolute perfection!

I've been meaning to try Sarmentine for quite awhile now and I finally did this morning with a friend. If you go early there are lots of different pastries to choose from. They have sweet and savory pastries, a large assortment of breads, cakes to order and even a day old bread section. I love pumpkin drinks and pastries so I ordered a pumpkin spice latte with oat milk and a pumpkin croissant. The latte was made perfectly and the temperature just right. The pumpkin croissant had a flaky crust on the outside and a decadent pumpkin pie filling in the middle. The hard working staff were friendly and answered all of our questions. I also got an almond fruit tartelette, a Trianon (chocolate cake), and a day old sourdough loaf to share with my family. It is located inside a small shopping center with parking in front. We're going to be returning customers!

Fun little Mother's Day flyer - who wouldn't want a bouquet with croissants!

Really nice bakery, friendly staff, some of the most beautiful pastries and bread I have ever had. Pro Tip - the French Breakfast you can ask for Ice Coffee instead of hot - together with a Baguette, and OJ I was in heaven! Can't wait to come back! Oh and if you arrive early you can score a 1/2 price loaf by the cash register - I had it for the next few days and it still tasted amazing !!!

Excellent bakery and they had a good iced chai. The pastries were delicious! There was a bit of a wait, but you can't fault a business for being popular. The chocolate almond croissant was exquisite.

I'm so glad that they decided to open their second pastry shop in Petaluma! Located right across from Brigette Bistro, I feel like this section of the city, is becoming like French Quarters. I love their Millefeuille! It's so flaky and the rich custard is so heavenly. Adore their eclairs. Croissant is on point. I wish it was a bit fluffier inside. Paris brest is solid. I prefer it to be softer on the dough. Pavlova was pretty, but not what I was expecting. It wasn't doughy nor would I consider it a pastry. It was like a sweet crunchy foam crust bottom and citrus fruits on top of it. They have fresh bread and savory items, such as quiches and sandwiches. Service was friendly and adequate seating. There was a line, but at least it was moving. Can't get enough of their lovely pastries! Will return to try others.

Got bunch of goodies from here and all were tasty and perfectly baked. The croissant was crispy on the outside and light and fluffy inside. Service and ambience were good too.

After my sister brought me a canelé from Sarmentine to try, I knew I had to visit and explore their other pastries--and I wasn't disappointed! As soon as we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the bakery's inviting ambiance. The space was clean, and all the pastries on display looked so tempting that it was hard to decide what to order. I eventually chose a chocolate and cream croissant along with four canelés. Everything was absolutely delicious! The flavors and textures were spot on, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I savored every bite and can't wait to return to try more of their offerings!

Immaculate space beautiful pastries and breads well displayed. My husband had a ham and cheese croissant, which was served warm. I had a chocolate almond croissant. The crunch was amazing. Very delicious! The hibiscus ice tea was very good as well. We also bought an olive bread with Parmesan which we later had with pasta. Unbelievably good!

I didn't buy this tart, but it looks so beautiful that I asked them to take it out of the case so I could take a good picture of it.

I know it's weird but when I travel, my first thought is not how much it's going to cost or how I'm going to get there, but where am I going to get my croissants. I'm on a six day trip to eat myself silly and wine country. Driving through Petaluma early on a Sunday I found this place listed on yelp and it's glorious. The one thing you should probably never eat at any bakery is the thing I'm addicted to of course. It's the almond croissant, which are just piles of sugar and butter. Oh, and ultra processed flour. But my God, they can be delicious and the one I got here was one of the best. You are going to get dirty when you eat this but it's worth it. The coffee was really good too. I also got an olive red , but that's for later when I have a nice bottle of wine and a hunk of grape cheese.

French fantasy meets road trip reality. Also: croissants were harmed in the making of this review. Our first morning in Petaluma. My wife, the culinary connoisseur, fluent in both sarcasm and salad pairings, and lover of all things Parisian, was still under the covers, eyes barely open, when she whispered her love language: "I need a croissant." Challenge accepted. I hopped in the car, channeling my inner delivery knight, and followed the buttery scent trail all the way to Sarmentine. A jewel box of French-baked temptation, where the pastry case gleamed like a glass-encased promise and the vibe whispered bonjour in buttery undertones. The lineup? A caffeine-lover's dream. Cappuccinos, cortados, Americanos, chai lattes, and matcha, all proudly poured with Straus Organic Milk and handwritten with elegance on a gilded chalkboard. You could practically feel the Parisian sidewalk breeze just standing in line. And me? I don't even drink coffee. True story. I never acquired a taste for it. But I brew it daily like a barista with a wedding ring. But I stayed focused, heroic, really. I secured three croissants. Two classic buttery croissants: golden, impossibly flakey, and warm enough to make angels hum. One for each of us. I also purchased one chocolate croissant for us to share: tender and crisp, with layers that unfolded like a buttery accordion playing the French national anthem. And for the queen herself? A large Americano, black, strong, smooth, and no nonsense, just like her. I returned to our hotel, bearing the sacred goods like I'd just crossed pastry Valhalla. I whispered, "Your breakfast has arrived." She sat up like Sleeping Beauty smelling espresso. First bite of the croissant? Eyes closed. Sigh released. Marriage re-certified. It was everything she wanted, and a flakey mess. The croissant crumbled like a delicate love letter all over the bed. Sheets? Toasted. Pillows? Lightly buttered. She laughed mid-bite and said, "Worth it." Then took another. We split the chocolate croissant like international diplomats. 50/50. No crumbs wasted. The chocolate was rich but not too sweet, tucked into folds of dough that crunched and melted in perfect harmony. We were both smitten. TL;DR: Sarmentine is where buttery dreams rise, espresso flows like poetry, and your wife's sleepy croissant craving becomes a full-on romantic moment. Even if it leaves a trail of crumbs across the duvet. Whether you're a road-tripping Texan or a local in need of edible elegance, this is the place. Pro Tip: Buy more than two pastries. Trust me. One bite in, and you'll wish you brought a bakery box and a DustBuster.

Angela's has a rotating selection of flavors, which sounds charming until you realize what that actually means: they will give you the best thing you've ever eaten and then take it away from you. Seasonal? More like emotional warfare. Case in point: "The Butter Half." A peanut butter ice cream so good I briefly reconsidered my life choices, my relationships, and whether I had been living correctly up until that moment. I have to go back before it's gone for the season. This is not a want. This is a need. This is a medical situation. The good news -- and I cannot stress how much I needed good news after the peanut butter revelation -- is that they're opening a location in Santa Rosa. Which means my dependency issue is about to become very convenient. Five stars. Send help.

The patisserie is cozy with a few tables inside and a few small tables on the patio. As you enter, you immediately see the glass case with beautiful pastries and cakes. So exciting to see all of their gorgeous creations in our little town of Sebastopol. We had reservations for 1:00 and they sat us at one of their small tables by the door. It worked but it wasn't the most comfortable seat in the house as people were walking in and out of the door and the pastry case was right next to us. There was a group of four near the far end and they offered to move us but then we would have been sitting right next to them. They also have another small private room but that was going to be used for a wedding cake meeting. Gergana is the owner and she greeted us warmly. She said she took over the patisserie in 2019. The other employees were very sweet and helpful. They provided us with a tea menu so we could select a tea from their varied tea menu. They returned with little pots of tea for each of us. There were many people dropping by to pick up a pastry and drink and others stopped by to pick up their cake order. The employees were efficient and quick to help everyone. They refilled our tea pots with hot water and checked on us throughout our time there. The desserts on the top level were our favorites. It came with a candle which was very sweet.
