I absolutely LOVE this spot! I have celiac so it's very exciting that Marin has a gluten free bakery like this one. Alongside pastries and cakes, they also sell flour, pastas, bread, premade meals, kits and so much more. Their carrot cake is to die for and I always order one of their little mini ones every time I come here. I've even had their carrot cake as my birthday cake for the last couple years. It's THAT good. Everything here is made so well. Today I tried the chicken Waldorf sandwich and it was amazing. The bread was very fluffy and moist-- something that's hard to do with gluten free baking. Flour Chlyde always manages to make gluten free taste so good. As far as seating goes, they have a couple of tables inside and some seating outside as well. The service is good too, they have a mom and pop vibe which is nice.

Rapture muffin & marshmallow latte

The most amazing customer service. My marshmallow latte was AMAZING!! I added cocoa powder and cinnamon to my liking. Not to mention the spinach pie, and rapture muffin, CHEFS KISS‍ The views add a great vibe setting

Ginger Snaps and Chocolate Cake

It was great to find this bakery in Downtown Novato. It was very unassuming when passing by and had a really minimal and cute interior. I bought a chocolate cake and ginger snaps just to try something I thought I was for sure to like and I would say that Flourchylde surpassed my expectations. I'm not someone who usually enjoys gluten free items. So when I tried the chocolate cake I wasn't expecting for it to have a nice crunch on the outside and be especially moist on the inside and still have a really nice crunch on the outside. Though what gave it away as gluten free was how easily the pastries crumbled. I liked how simple and refreshing the cake was. It was hearty though not heavy. The gingersnaps especially had a nice deep flavor and had a nice spice to it which I really like in a gingersnap. I was looking for a little bit and the staff was patient with me. They were really nice. I look forward to going back and trying more items.

Do you have any sugar free or low sugar bakery items?

Yes, we do offer a few low sugar, sugar-free and alternative sugar baked items.

Gluten free and vegan? Or just GF?

They have a couple of vegan items. A vegan chocolate cupcake with buttercream frosting, and a fruit oat bar. They also make a vegan chocolate cake with buttercream. Cake not sold in slices; I believe its the same recipe as their vegan cupcake. All…

Don't let that…read morediscourage you though--the bakery has a very efficient system, and the line moved surprisingly fast. Inside, there was an amazing selection of pastries, salads, and local products. My favorite was the chocolate orange cake, which was moist with a subtle orange flavor. My dad loved the vegetarian croissant, and my mom enjoyed the blueberry croissant. Everything was delicious, though the pastries were a little on the denser side. The real standout for me was the coffee. I ordered a plain iced latte, and it was strong, smooth, and not bitter at all. You can also add vanilla or classic syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink. Friendly service, a huge variety of baked goods, and I heard they even serve pizza in the afternoons. I'll definitely be back!

Found this…read morelocation after driving around Petaluma and decided to give it a try. came around noon and initially there was no line however after we ordered the line blew up. We ordered: 1. Strawberry maritozzi: Of all of the pastries this was actually my last favorite. I felt like the bread was a bit dry and flavorless. The cream was good however and not too sweet like your typical American dessert. I think if they could some how use a different type of bun that isn't as dry, this would be amazing. 2. Caprese Sandwich (wrap): This was incredible. I really liked this sandwich. It was so flavorful and the balance of the pesto and chicken was amazing. Highly recommend. Very large and filling too. 3. Mushroom focaccia: Loved this! Focaccia was fluffy and a very generous amount of mushrooms on top. 4. Passion Fruit pasty: I LOVED this! It reminds me of being in hawaii again and reminded me of the malasalas there however in a pastry dough form. 5. Chocolate pistachio croissant: High quality pasty very fluffy and light with huge amount of chocolate. Overall, I felt like the savory items were incredible and overshadowed the sweet items. The sweet were still good though. Everything was high quality and fairly priced. Only item that I wouldn't get again is the Maritozzi.

EDITED: Stephanie is refunding a portion of the cake fee, very good customer service! Once again!…read more Thank you! I started out my search for Starbucks themed sugar cookies, and Stephanie came highly recommended by several people in our community. Upon finding out she did cakes, I mentioned to my daughter in law that she could maybe do a cake, and she contracted with her to do so. The cookies were delicious, as was the cake. It's hard to find someone to make anything with the Starbucks logo, which we completely understand. Who wants to get sued by Starbucks, right? So, she agreed to make the cookies shaped like coffee cups with coffee decor; and she nailed it. She also made a frappuccino cake (standing) - and offered to drive up when me met for pick up because it was sliding, and she wanted to be sure it was going to make it to the party; and also do do some touch ups on the decorating. Stephanie and her family drove from Novato to Santa Rosa and delivered the cake. It was an expensive cake. $120.00 ... and about twenty minutes or so after she left the room, we all left to play laser tag; upon returning, we saw that the top half of the cake was gone, it slipped off and fell behind the table. :/ I did send Stephanie a photo of the cake. There were also misspellings on the cookies of the word "coffee" that I didn't notice until after the cake fell apart. Let me say, it was delicious!!! The cake was melt in your mouth moist, the icing was delicious and the cookies were too!!! I know that there was a family emergency two days before our order was due; and stress can have a negative effect on all of us. I would recommend her to others, I mean, baking is a constantly evolving process and my Granddaughter hates fondant; so that was all buttercream icing on a standing cake, instead of a sheet cake shaped like a cup of coffee. Four stars to Stephanie and her kind family, and extremely polite children!! Thank you for helping our family make Amaya's party a dream come true.

Started searching online for a place I could order one. I checked out the website and was thrilled to see it on the list! I was able to text Stephanie to ask about ordering one the next day, and she said she could make it happen. It was so easy (I loved being able to just text her and sort it out), the pie was delicious, I could cross one more thing off my list, and the bf was THRILLED. Wins all around! Absolutely using Stephanie again for the next special event. :)

Seriously, you might think pie is pie, but no, there's pie, and then there's pie from Petaluma Pie Company. Friendly employee and clean area outside the shop is well. So that's good. Regardless, this place is a must-try!

I Spy With My Little Pie…read more This farm-to-table, locally-owned pie shop has been serving up both sweet and savory pie creations in Downtown Petaluma since 2010. They recently underwent an ownership change in 2024 from the OGs, but fortunately, instead of selling to a corporation, they sold it to an employee and his mother to help ensure the original ethos and quality remain intact. The Good: * Their pies are made with locally-sourced and organic ingredients bought from the local farmers market--as well as some fruit that they grow themselves! * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * As mentioned above, they have both sweet and savory pies. We only tried the sweet *oink oink* * Friendly service * Love that they have both full sized pies and smaller ones, so you don't have to commit to a big ol' pie. * We tried their Elvis (PB, banana, and chocolate) and their Black & Blue Crumble and they were both fabulous! I leaned a bit more to the B&B, as I absolutely adored that granola crumble on top, but the Elvis was no slouch either. The Meh: * Interior is small and very cramped. Definitely a grab-and-go type operation. The Ugly: * Parking in DT Petaluma can be a hassle, as it's street parking only, but at least it's free. Conclusion: Fantastic spot to scratch that 3.14 itch--and I'm always itchy!
