I absolutely LOVE this spot! I have celiac so it's very exciting that Marin has a gluten free bakery like this one. Alongside pastries and cakes, they also sell flour, pastas, bread, premade meals, kits and so much more. Their carrot cake is to die for and I always order one of their little mini ones every time I come here. I've even had their carrot cake as my birthday cake for the last couple years. It's THAT good. Everything here is made so well. Today I tried the chicken Waldorf sandwich and it was amazing. The bread was very fluffy and moist-- something that's hard to do with gluten free baking. Flour Chlyde always manages to make gluten free taste so good. As far as seating goes, they have a couple of tables inside and some seating outside as well. The service is good too, they have a mom and pop vibe which is nice.

Rapture muffin & marshmallow latte

The most amazing customer service. My marshmallow latte was AMAZING!! I added cocoa powder and cinnamon to my liking. Not to mention the spinach pie, and rapture muffin, CHEFS KISS‍ The views add a great vibe setting

Ginger Snaps and Chocolate Cake

It was great to find this bakery in Downtown Novato. It was very unassuming when passing by and had a really minimal and cute interior. I bought a chocolate cake and ginger snaps just to try something I thought I was for sure to like and I would say that Flourchylde surpassed my expectations. I'm not someone who usually enjoys gluten free items. So when I tried the chocolate cake I wasn't expecting for it to have a nice crunch on the outside and be especially moist on the inside and still have a really nice crunch on the outside. Though what gave it away as gluten free was how easily the pastries crumbled. I liked how simple and refreshing the cake was. It was hearty though not heavy. The gingersnaps especially had a nice deep flavor and had a nice spice to it which I really like in a gingersnap. I was looking for a little bit and the staff was patient with me. They were really nice. I look forward to going back and trying more items.

Do you have any sugar free or low sugar bakery items?

Yes, we do offer a few low sugar, sugar-free and alternative sugar baked items.

Gluten free and vegan? Or just GF?

They have a couple of vegan items. A vegan chocolate cupcake with buttercream frosting, and a fruit oat bar. They also make a vegan chocolate cake with buttercream. Cake not sold in slices; I believe its the same recipe as their vegan cupcake. All…

I opted for the vibrant red rose. It tasted exactly like a flavorless sponge drenched in l milk. Not even a hint of rose. Incredible, the white icing was equally flavorless, although it looked beautiful, with a sprinkling of dried rose petals. The overall effect was like eating a piece of cake that had fallen in a puddle of milk - with dried leaves in the icing. I had three bites and then told them guy behind the counter that it had no flavor and all he could offer was "I'm sorry". For $8 and no offer to make it right, it was a really bad experience and I would never go there again.

While we were disappointed there was no cold brew, the iced americano alternative was perfectly good (STRONG). When we asked for double espresso in the large iced americano, they informed us that the it already includes 6 shots- woah! We downgraded to 4 shots in a medium cup, but recommend keeping it in a large cup. Also tried their signature "scmuffin" and it was yummier than it looked! There's a good amount of seating available outside. I'd consider coming back as a stop while taking a trip north. I'd usually look for more of a craft roaster, but there doesn't seem to be anything like that in the area. Also their menu is HUGE. I imagine if you're into smoothies or more flavorful lattes that this would be up your alley.

I stepped away to call my husband for a sec since they didn't have cold brew (I let her know); I came back to the register and she didn't return! There were two other workers, and no one came over. So, I left. They absolutely need better service and to better train their workers.
