I met up with a friend for lunch at Creekside Bakery and we both left really happy with our meal. We sat outside and I appreciated that they had blankets available for guests. I ordered the carrot soup and my friend got the egg salad toast. My soup came in a really generous bowl, so generous that I actually had leftovers to take home. It was comforting and flavorful, and perfect for a lighter meal. I also ordered a lavender latte that was absolutely delicious. For dessert we shared the princess cake, which was definitely the highlight. The whipped cream layer was so light and airy and balanced perfectly with the cake. It wasn't overly sweet. Overall it was a really enjoyable lunch and we both agreed we'd definitely come back to try more things on the menu. read more

I saw Creekside Bakery on Bay Area Check Please show and everything looked delicious. On a Saturday morning, there was a line but went by quick. Breakfast sandwhich with added sausage patty was small but super fresh ingredients and solid. The deviled eggs were different than your usual bbq eggs. Different tasting but good. Japanese milk bread cinnamon roll was light but fluffy in middle. The frosting wasn't too sweet. The princess cake had light cream and super fluffy cake. This was my fave of all the pastries. The caramel sticky bun was good but little too sticky for me. The pistachio/strawberry donut like pastry was good. All of the staff were nice and helpful. read more

Ordered a special birthday cake - the Coffee Crunch, which I do not usually find in bakeries. The cake is a white sponge cake, with whipped cream and a house-made coffee crunch caramel candy topping. It was easy to order by phone and pick up two days later. It was a little drive for me, but worth the specialness. The cake was an 8-inch cake for $65. A little pricey, but for a birthday was okay. The cake was delicious, and everyone loved it, but my memories (from a now-defunct local bakery in San Rafael) made me compare too much between the imagined and the actual. Given that, the cake was still very good overall. The topping was a bit more toffee than coffee, and more chewy than crunchy. Friday 9:30 was really busy! Popular place before being featured on Check, Please Bay Area recently. Line was very long but moved relatively quickly. Located in a shopping area with a few small businesses, a Lucky's Market, and CVS. Lots of parking. Nice outdoor seating area, plus some tables inside. What an amazing job that Creekside Bakery did last year for my birthday! I chose the Flourless Chocolate torte with dark chocolate ganache. I bought two--one for my guests and one for the amazing staff at Las Guitarras restaurant. Creekside seamlessly coordinated with the Morning Glory florists next door to add the fresh flowers on top of the cakes. Their dining room is always hopping with patrons, and I recall enjoying a number of wonderful lunches here as well. It's such a pleasure to do business with this bakery. read more

Such a cool vibe here and delicious menu that from what I was told, has some changes weekly so that's neat too. The bakery counter is full of yummy sweet and savory options. I grabbed a couple cookies and a savory scone to try later. As for breakfast, I got the breakfast sandwich and it was full of flavor and FRESH. It came with a side salad that was perfect balance. I ordered an iced tea (already had too much coffee but next time I will try their coffee) and it was fresh too. The staff were all super nice, attentive, and provided free refills of the iced tea as I dined in. The decor is a mix of cottage core, garden, and bakery / diner vibes. There's a lovely big shared seating table next to a huge circle window that overlooks the bridge over the creek. Super cute and cozy. The cake selection looked delicious! I didn't get to take any home, but I will definitely need to come back to try their Princess Cake. Overall, I will be back. This place is such a hip spot, great service, lots of folks enjoying a bite on their own or with company. And, there's tons of outdoor seating too. Not only does this bakery have amazing food, but I wanted to write a review specifically for Travis, who went out of his way to be helpful and kind to me as I was entering the bakery, trying to tie up my dog, and was clearly very stressed... even though they are busy, he offered to let me stay outside at a table and take my order/bring it to my table (they normally take orders in line). I've ordered many custom design cakes in my life from many different bakeries. I came in person on a Sunday (super busy) but needed it soon ....by Thur afternoon. Eek! I Had to wait , but met with the main guy who took my order and looked at my inspiration photos. Took a couple days to get a response if they could do it had to call and email a few times , but over all when I picked it up I was VERY happy and satisfied . Yay! CREEKSIDE BAKERY IN NOVATO is well known by the locals as an excellent place to gather and eat. I had not been there for almost 30 years, but I remembered it to be a quality place. It was the first bakery to introduce me to Princess Cake, a famous Scandinavian delight. As a treat I decided to have a piece. And since it was lunchtime I indulged in a nice veggie sandwich. Omg I was not prepared for the sandwich to be so outstanding. The layers were, fresh, bountiful, and beautiful. WOW! It is well worth the 20 dollar price tag that included a perfectly dressed salad. You can help yourself to cold water, which I do. This place was buzzing with customers. You order at the counter, and they will give you a number. My food came promptly. Several other customers admired my choice and asked which sandwich it was. Bravo all around. Everyone said they were delighted with their choices as well. We drove a couple of hours and stopped here for some lunch. My wife had seen them on Check Please and was keen to drop by on the way and have lunch. We made it light and bought some pastries including a scone, morning bun and ham and cheese croissant and they were all really good. It's a nice place with outside and inside seating. The service here was amazing and everyone was really friendly and helpful. My wife mentioned in passing that she had seen them on Check Please and they were so happy we made the trip. They asked whether we had eaten enough and out of the blue they brought us some complementary dishes. Including a breakfast sandwich and deviled eggs on toast and a dessert. We were absolutely stunned at this incredible gesture. These dishes were all absolutely delicious with very fresh ingredients. We are definitely coming back when we are coming through this way. Oh my goodness, we read an article about the Creekside bakery because we are obsessed with eating anything Swedish being that I am Swedish. We got many things and the highlight being the pink princess cake! All the baked goods were exceptional. We loved a little Swedish cookies, and the berry Tart that we got and of course the princess cake. The only complaint I would have is just that I thought it needed one more layer of raspberry jam. They had a layer of raspberry jam, cream cake, layer of cream cake and then the dome I think on that middle one they needed to have the jam also but it was delicious. Came on Mother's Day and the line was 50 people deep 5 minutes after opening. The food mostly lived up to the hype and I give them so much credit for knocking out the food relatively quickly! Savory waffle w/ an egg was good but a tad on the dry side. I think a poached egg would have made more sense on this dish to give it some kind of "sauce". Milk Bun Cinnamon roll was delicious! Went for a hike and then grabbed breakfast with some friends here. It's a cute little place tucked away in a shopping mall next to a cute florist. You order and pay at the counter and then grab a seat. There's not a lot of indoor seating but plenty of seating outside. The service was great and efficient. We had oat milk lattes, grilled cheese, avocado toast and a BLT sandwich. The portion sizes are huge! All of us took leftovers home, which was nice. Have been here too many times to count. Atmosphere is buzzing, this place is very busy. I normally find a spot to eat without issue. The staff are friendly. However, two gentleman stand out so much that I had to one day learn their names. The tall handsome red head is Alejandro. He could teach classes on customer service and his lattes are on point. Travis is the other angel who clearly understands the assignment as well. Food and desserts are consistently great. Top favorites are the breakfast sandwich and the veggie sandwich. The bakery serves beautiful cakes and cookies as well as lunch. I'd recommend their avocado toast or the breakfast sandwich, which is excellent. It has spicy aioli, fresh bun and avocado. I get it with bacon. I wasn't as impressed with the prosecco as I thought it had no fizz at all and I tried it a couple of times. It's probably because they don't use flutes and it's not a known place for bubbly, so when they open a bottle it sits for a while. The indoor dining area has big windows that look out to the trees which behind is a creek, hence the name. I've been going to Creekside for several years now and everything I've had is excellent! It's tucked inside a shopping center. They are located on the side of CVS away from the street across the way from Morning Glory Florist. The first time I ordered something it was for my mom's Birthday. I got her a raspberry cheesecake and it was a hit! I ordered a box of pastries for a work meeting and everyone loved them. The pastries are a good size, fresh and flavorful. I like how they offer a wide selection of cookies, pastries and cakes. I picked up a 6" tiramisu cake for my mom's Birthday this year and I highly recommend it! They make it with sponge cake and a good amount of espresso and of course whipped cream. It's very decadent. I brought some relatives from out of town to purchase a Birthday cake, but unfortunately we came on one of the days they're closed. They are closed on Monday's and Tuesday's. Someone was inside though and they gave us a free bag of cookies. The service is always friendly. I've meaning to dine in and try brunch menu which I will have to do soon. The food looks delicious. This place is so popular! The first time I came, there was a long line and it was entirely packed haha. I was able to get in this time (Sunday, 10:30 am). I opted for their quiche (you can choose between ham/brie, spinach/feta, and goat cheese/green garlic...I chose the last one) and salad. The fork met virtually no resistance as it pierced this lovingly presented quiche, yet it does not crumble into pieces! It is very light yet bursting with flavor. Tasty! Their salad seems to have a lemon + vinaigrette kind of dressing that is not overpowering, so it's refreshing. They have so many windows that allow for a nice outside view of even more seating and nice trees! Friendly staff too! I'm glad I got to experience this and will try their other dishes next time. Ordering was a bit of a pain with the crowded line and the Karens walking right up to the register, slowing things down and generally inserting themselves into everyone's life. The staff, however, are quick and professional and keep things moving as fast as they can while remaining courteous and helpful. The egg salad toast is spectacular but, again, quite expensive for what's on the plate. The veggie sandwich was also good and made with very nice ingredients, but it's $18 and will leave you hungry. Judged purely in the basis of food quality, this would be 5 stars. But considering the investment in time, money, and patience that Creekside Bakery demands, it's just not somewhere I'd likely return to. read more

My favorite place to get an iceed matcha! The first time I tried Creekside, I was offered to put cinnamon in it. Awesome recommendation by the barista, Alejandro. The matcha is incredible and so is the cheese danish. I come here at least once of week for my matcha. The workers are nice and friendly, and seem to be familiar with their customers. The patrons as well are friendly, I have never struck up so many conversations while waiting in line for a beverage. They close at 3pm, which makes the time it's open even all the better. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The area outside is nice and quiet, and has some trees and little bridge behind it. A good place to come by yourself and bring some friends. read more

Let me start by saying I LOVE this place and the food here. The only reason I'm giving it 3 starts is to bring attention to the fact they have some food on top of the counters where anyone can touch it. The apple pies are out for display right when you walk in. These pies are for sale and literally anyone can just touch it when they walk by. The other tray they have is a delicious looking item that I initially wanted to order. That is until I noticed it's sitting right on the counter where people order their food and drinks. Am I the only one who finds it gross and unsanitary how people's little spit droplets can spray on the food while they order? This can't be proper safe food handling practices. In the photo you can see a customers arm reaching over all the food to point to the one she wants. Who knows what particles may drop from her clothing into your food. I decided against ordering this item because of this. Other than that I absolutely adore this place. Hopefully my review will help them change these food handling flaws so I can finally try one of those delicious looking items. read more
