Chocolate chip cookie (what's left of it )

We had the salmon Benedict, bowl of oats, potato cake and chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was huge don't let the picture fool you. I ate the whole thing before I thought about photos. Also not pictured the potato cake. So good I ate in 3 bites and then remembered I should review them. Salmon Benedict we would skip when we come again. The biscuits were dry but flavor was good. Cookie was huge and chewy absolutely a favorite. It was about 5" in size before we devoured it. Bowl of oats was large and filling I would definitely order it again. 5 stars for service, location, food and facilities.

We stumbled upon this adorable brunch spot while driving back to the Bay and couldn't resist pulling over for a bite. First tip: order at the counter before being seated - definitely something to note before you get too comfortable! The menu here is overwhelming in the best way - think an endless list of brunch classics, creative specials, and a tempting selection of baked goods. I was stressed trying to pick the perfect dish because everything sounded so good. After much thought, we ended up with the mixed berry French toast, smoked salmon eggs Benedict, potato cakes, and the morning glory toast with honey and butter. The potatoes here are next level. The crispy potato cakes and the mini potatoes that came with the Benedict might just be the best I've ever had at brunch (bold statement, but true). And that morning glory toast, paired with honey and butter? Absolutely chef's kiss. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating options - think cute cafe meets small-town charm. Just a heads up, parking is street parking in downtown Petaluma, so plan accordingly. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the area - or even worth a detour!

Had another fabulous brunch at Tea Room Cafe. We tried the black bean chili, quiche, croissant egg sandwich and the avocado toast. Everything was delicious! Staff super helpful and friendly. They are always busy, but they manage the crowds well and wait times are always reasonable.

Good brunch spot in Victorian downtown Petaluma with tasty breakfast items, and friendly but slow service. Cue up to order, then at time of order you'll be assigned a numbered table. That initial line took fifteen minutes. But the real wait at Tea Room Cafe came after putting in the our food order. Total wait from our arrival at the cafe to receiving food: forty five minutes. That's quite a wait. Opting to dial up on my review because the food itself was tasty and their eggs were the right doneness. We had a chorizo scramble, a single order of a smoked Gouda cheesy potato pancake with harissa and sour cream, and a sausage scramble with mushroom and spinach, with eggs cooked lightly, and just right. We left with a delicious malt chocolate chip cookie, called a "salty malty" made in-house. Three stars for service (friendly, but overwhelmed) and four for food. Quaint atmosphere: farmhouse decor full of vintage chachkies, crows and cows. Come here if you like a relaxed breakfast and are not in a hurry.

Tea Room Cafe is one of my go to spots to meet up with friends! They have a vast brunch menu, and I have loved everything I've tried. There is outdoor seating which is always a plus, and is located in the heart of downtown Petaluma. The inside has large windows letting in a lot of natural light, and has a cute simple farmhouse vibe. This time I got the vanilla latte which was huge and delicious! It came in a cup that was so large it was practically a bowl. I also got a slice of banana bread (with shredded coconut) and it was just as incredible. The service is pretty quick and everyone was super nice. I will definitely be coming back!

Came in for a quick bite to eat on a late Friday morning. They were fairly busy, seems like a popular breakfast/brunch spot. They have a large menu selection for breakfast and lunch. You order/pay at the counter and then they'll bring your food to you. The food was delicious! I ordered a potato cake and an iced chai latte. I will definitely be coming back for more potato cakes in the future. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. Opted to sit indoors since we had a party of 5 and most of the outdoor seating was filled up. Restroom was looking a little run down and dirty. All of the staff members were so friendly and the service was quick - despite them being busy.

This has always been my healthy fresh go-to breakfast place since I moved to Petaluma. The menu items are very diet friendly and the ingredients are fresh. The espresso drinks are great and the ambiance is very Portland-esque. I recommend all of the breakfast items!

I love this place. The food is always delicious. The breakfast is my favorite as well as the soups that they make. Good pastry section also.

The seasonal menu's offerings were ideal for a rainy April day, when their cassoulet, bocadillo and other cozy options provided the comfort food we were craving. I loved the colorful tables and tasteful decor. It was clearly a regular lunch destination for many of the diners. The bar was packed during the rush, around noon, as well as the other indoor seats. My lunch friend mentioned that the restaurant is owned and operated by a husband and wife team: Annette and Brian. The regulars were greeted with familiarity. It wasn't the kind of place where you're rushed for your order, nor is it a dine and dash location. The menu - both food and drink - has tantalizing options, so it's best to come back repeatedly. My Turkish Coffee arrived quickly after I ordered it, despite Annette being the only server on the floor. I enjoyed the Bocadillo too, especially the pickled vegetables that accompany the sandwich. For those complaining that the portions were small or that the prices were high, the quality of ingredients and depth of flavor are worth the cost and my portion was more than enough to satisfy my appetite, plus I left with the other half of my sandwich as an offering for my hungry twenty-something at home. We ordered a rice pudding for dessert and dug in before I was able to snap a picture! It was delicious though, with the poached blueberries and almonds offering an ideal balance of texture and flavor to earn this simple dessert my esteem. Next time I want to try the beet & sour cream cake though!

Decided to find some Mediterranean food and someone recommended Pearl, which I didn't even know…read moreexisted. A quick look at the menu had us both salivating, as each dish looked better than the next! And since the menu changes daily, I can only imagine what they'll have in store next time we visit (and there will be a next time). The brisket, served with soft scrambled eggs, roast winter squash and tahini, melted in the mouth. Every bite was just bursting with spice and flavor and it was great. Same for the beef stew, which was really a slab of beef on top of a very tasty buckwheat polenta and roasted veggies. I damn near licked the bowl clean. Dad opted for the Jerusalem bagel, with lox and pickled lime cream cheese along with sunny-side up eggs. Another winner. The coffee was served in a french press, stayed piping hot throughout our meal - another plus. Pearl is in an industrial part of town, just west of the River on G street between downtown and the bowling alley. It's worth finding it but get there early - open till 3 only and closed Tues-Wed.
