BLT on Sourdough with excellent onion rings

Small but cozy. Excellent service. I got the BLT with onion rings, the onion rings were exceptional. DIL got the Mr Mom's Burger Extravaganza and it really was extravagant. Our friend got the Mr Mom's Special breakfast. Plenty of food-well prepared. Would go again.

Decent burger, but limp greasy fries.

I had a less than stellar experience here, so I'm not giving this restaurant a good review. I was driving by, and it looked like a fun place to eat but it was a big let down. The service was good, and my burger was decent, but that's about all I liked about this restaurant. My server was attentive, served me quickly, and was pleasant to talk to. My burger had a nice soft bun, a decent amount of cheese, and some fresh crunchy produce. What it didn't have was a lot flavor or meat for the price. I sat at the breakfast bar, that had some old-style diner chairs which looked cool, but were really uncomfortable. I ordered French fries with my burger, but they were, limp, undercooked, and loaded with grease. Probably the worst fries I've had in a long time. Then they overcharged my debit card by .86 cents, which wasn't much, but it's the principle. Anyway, that left a bad taste in my mouth kinda like their French fries!

    The Hungry Trucker; 2 pancakes

Very homey vibez! Preferred Cash. Service is like a diner vibe. Good and Attentive. The Hungry Trucker is no joke. It's HUGE. The pancakes were slightly crunchy on the edges, which added a nice touch to its fluffiness. I would order this again. IMO, the Mr. Mom's Home-Style Country Gravy Breakfast is very heavy. The biscuit is delicious and the gravy has a nice flavor. Combined, it felt like... I was eating a crumbly and soggy oatmeal. There's probably a better way to describe the texture and flavor. Overall, I would come again next time to try their French toast and waffles (served until noon)!

    Omlette

Decent food, old school diner atmosphere, hit or miss service. The house made jams are the star. Seasonal flavors made fresh were sweet and tangy. Perfect on toast or a biscuit. The menu was a bit confusing in how it priced their omelettes. It said you can add 4 items, didn't realize that each item was a couple dollars extra. My omelette ended up being $17, and frankly wasn't worth it. The cheese was laid on top, rather than mixed in, so it never really melted enough and slid off. The peppers and onions were not seasoned before folding into the eggs. The coffee was standard diner style, thin, acidic, with out much profile to speak of. My son ordered a waffle and that was pretty good. Tall and fluffy inside, crispy outside. I've had really slow service here before, and also really great attentive service as well. It depends on how busy they are and who your server is. All in all, not great but not bad.

    BLT with hash browns

Pretty good. Customer service was one of the best. My sandwich was over toasted and it tore up the top & bottom of my mouth. I asked for an extra piece of bread so I could reassemble my sandwich and $1.75 was added to the bill. When I explained why, they kindly removed the charge.

It was soooo good I'm a big fan of salads and this hit the spot! I had it with the blue cheese dressing and wow it was so good with chunks of cheese

    Eggs Benedict with homestyle papas

So happy we stumbled across this diner that has been around for 4 decades! Cozy decor, inside and outdoor seating, and friendly staff. I got the eggs Benedict and my son got the biscuits and gravy. First let me start by saying they make everything in house. I asked to confirm but if you love hollandaise sauce as much as I do, I already knew before I asked lol. My eggs were poached to perfection and everything was seasoned well. The potatoes were golden and crispy. No complaints on the biscuits and gravy either! Gravy was yep you guessed it homemade in house and is a 32 year old recipe! Will be back for sure

I'm actually glad it's not closer to home, because I'd be here all the time. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the whole place has a great 1950s diner vibe with old photos, memorabilia, and music from that era. I had the eggs benedict both mornings, once with the house potatoes and once with the hash browns. Both potato sides were excellent. The house potatoes had crispy bits, creamy centers, and a dollop of sour cream, while the hash browns were crisp outside and soft inside. I swear I cannot make potatoes like that at home. The eggs benedict were also outstanding. Instead of a thin slice of ham or Canadian bacon, they used a real ham steak. I love eggs benedict, and these were some of the best I've had. My partner had the chicken fried chicken one morning and chicken and waffles the next, and loved both. He also shared a biscuit with me, which was very good. I was tempted by the biscuits and gravy on day two, but the eggs benedict were too good not to order again.

We were visiting the area from SF for an event and decided to check this place out because it was close to our hotel and let me tell you I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. You should give it a try! We got the breakfast burrito on tomato wrap and huevos rancheros with a side of a single banana oat pancake. What I ordered: The Sonoma County burrito for $19. You're given the choice between bacon, sausage or chorizo for your protein. I went with the sausage and for my side I got a fruit cup for an additional $3 instead of the breakfast potato's. Additionally, I ordered coffee which comes diner style for $4. They brought out milk and sugar and when they noticed our cups were empty they filled them up promptly. The coffee was nothing to write home about but it did the job. My husband and dad both ordered the steak and eggs which come with a side of toast and I know they had options but looking back it's not listed on the menu. My husband got the rye, my dad got the sourdough and his partner got the English muffin which looked fluffy, inviting and home made. Overall my burrito was okay, good flavors but a little underwhelming. It lacked protein and was not evenly distributed with the protein that there was. I do wish I went with another option for breakfast. If I were to come back, I'd try another offering. If I could give half stars I'd probably rate cafe mimosa a 3.5 but am rounding up to 4 for the fast and attentive service and will have to come back and try what they specialize in... mimosas and a different breakfast option.

The seasonal menu's offerings were ideal for a rainy April day, when their cassoulet, bocadillo and other cozy options provided the comfort food we were craving. I loved the colorful tables and tasteful decor. It was clearly a regular lunch destination for many of the diners. The bar was packed during the rush, around noon, as well as the other indoor seats. My lunch friend mentioned that the restaurant is owned and operated by a husband and wife team: Annette and Brian. The regulars were greeted with familiarity. It wasn't the kind of place where you're rushed for your order, nor is it a dine and dash location. The menu - both food and drink - has tantalizing options, so it's best to come back repeatedly. My Turkish Coffee arrived quickly after I ordered it, despite Annette being the only server on the floor. I enjoyed the Bocadillo too, especially the pickled vegetables that accompany the sandwich. For those complaining that the portions were small or that the prices were high, the quality of ingredients and depth of flavor are worth the cost and my portion was more than enough to satisfy my appetite, plus I left with the other half of my sandwich as an offering for my hungry twenty-something at home. We ordered a rice pudding for dessert and dug in before I was able to snap a picture! It was delicious though, with the poached blueberries and almonds offering an ideal balance of texture and flavor to earn this simple dessert my esteem. Next time I want to try the beet & sour cream cake though!
