    Boiled garlic

This was the first time ive eaten here since they started serving French fries. So I guess that tells you how long its been and it will probably be the last time I come back. It was just ok. We came in and there were only 2 couples seated and one person at the bar area. It was 3 pm on a Sunday and all the tables were dirty. We were told to "just sit anywhere". And $55 for 2 mediocre burgers, a basket of French fries and one soda served at a dirty table i wiped myself? I think its overpriced by a lot. Now the French fries were tasty, just the right amount of salt and crunchy too. I think they were very oily from being fried too many times(see photo) My husband got the bacon cheeseburger. And it was good. A basic bacon cheeseburger though the bacon was done quite well , right amount of crunch and a good amount too. Now, I got the stinky breath burger and it WAS a cheeseburger with tons of garlic on it. It had potential. BUT it had tons of BOILED garlic, like they boiled it in a pot of water! It was so flavorless and watery(see photo) It made my burger a watery mess. So what could have been a good burger was pretty gross. Who boils garlic instead of roasting it? My husband's burger came with the homemade chips and I like kettle style chips but these were stale and hard. Not good at all. I was ready to just go home. I've waited awhile to post this because I just kept thinking maybe its not as bad as I thought it was and I'll think more positive over time but actually its gone the other way. Im sorry, this was just not good all around.

I stopped here in my lunch break from work. First time here. It was not busy. The waitress was friendly and check on me frequently. The burger was good, you can see the cooks making it. The salad just needed some more toppings. If you rather have fries those are an additional cost. The iced tea was not too sweet nor too bitter.

If you have a craving for a gourmet burger, Mike's in Cotati is the place to go. Friends have recommended this place to us and since we had a free Sunday, we decided to drive out to try it for ourselves. The interior is clean and welcoming. They have booths, tables and counter service. They let us pick our table which we always appreciate. The servers were very friendly and Hailey ended up being our food server. I appreciated that she smiled the whole time as she took our order. Very pleasant and sweet. We ordered three burgers and a basket of fries. Burgers come with cheese and choice of mac salad, potato salad, green salad or house made chips. Krush burger - sautéed sliced mushroom in a Zinfandel glaze Mike burger - their famous burger with all the fixin's Moo-Ben burger - corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut on marbled rye The Mike burger was flavorful, juicy and oh so delicious. They know how to grill a hamburger patty! The fries were nice and hot and their Ranch dressing is delicious, a wonderful dip for the fries. My dining companions enjoyed their burgers as well and we are looking forward to trying their other menu items. Small parking lot in front and more parking available in the back.

The burger options here are so delicious! I definitely recommend the garlic burger (the stinky burger). It's worth the bad breath. All of the food was really good, pricey compared to other burger places but I would definitely go back.

Moo-Ben with garlic fries. May not look big in the picture, but so big that I could not finish it all.

Had dinner this evening at Mike's. We were a little apprehensive because of all the recent negative reviews, but so glad we went regardless. Service was great! Burgers were great! Sides were mixed. I had the Mooben with garlic fries, having seen it on the food network show called "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" (burger episode) a few years back. My husband had the Mike's burger with chips. The mooben was good enough that I would order it again, but truth be told, the pastrami was a bit dry. My husband said the Mike's burger was one of the best burgers he's ever had. The garlic fries were awesome. Totally garlicky and delicious. The chips were really waffle fries and were served lukewarm so not the best today. While our meals may seem costly for being burgers and fries...we felt the value was there because they were so big. We were not able to finish our meals and if we lived in the area we would have taken the rest home and made another meal out of the leftovers. The place was not crowded this evening, but just about every table taken by the time we left. Big screen TVs to watch the games, so the ambiance was typical of a small hometown sports bar. Next time we're in the area and in the mood for a burger we will definitely be back.

Hands down one of the best, if not THE best burger in Sonoma County. Excellent service, ambiance is top notch. Although I do miss the Yard!

Our server was incredibly friendly, and the entire room shared the same warm, easygoing vibe. The small, speakeasy themed space was already packed at 5 PM, so reservations seem like a must. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious, but the standout dishes were the beet salad and the shrimp & grits. The beet salad had a perfect mix of textures; chopped pistachios, tender beets, and crunchy radishes over a pillowy ricotta. I finished the salad wishing there was more. The shrimp & grits featured a potlikker sauce that absolutely lived up to the hype; it made the dish. I wish the shrimp & grits were served in a bowl rather than a shallow dish. I found myself chasing the sauce and polenta around the plate, trying not to push it over the edge. That said, if it were in a bowl, I might have just drank the sauce, so perhaps this is the restaurant's way of preserving a bit of dignity for its guests. Next time, I'm hoping to visit when oyster po' boys and fried green tomatoes are on the menu.

The vibe is effortlessly chill, with whimsical decor--think antique lamps, an old record player, and lots of little details that make you want to look around. The whole place felt alive in the best way--buzzing with conversation, laughter, and people clearly having a great time. We didn't have a reservation, but lucked out with seats at the community table. Bonus: the other guests were super welcoming, which just added to the fun, communal feel. We hit happy hour, and wow--it's a good one. Tons of interesting bites and a solid drink lineup. I went with a whiskey sour, my friend had the ginger beer on draft (very refreshing), and we shared the prawns, Brussels sprouts, and creamy mac & cheese. Everything was seriously delicious. Shoutout to our server, Melanie--friendly, attentive, and totally on it, even with the place packed. A couple things to note: it does get loud, so maybe not your spot if you're after a quiet, intimate dinner. Also, the happy hour menu listed Brussels sprouts but didn't mention bacon--I'm vegetarian, so that was a bit of a surprise. (It is noted on the regular dinner menu, which I admittedly didn't check.) All in all, such a fun, lively spot. I'll definitely be back for more bites and cocktails.

We got there at 11 we were seated immediately and it took them about 30 minutes to take our order. Not to mention that the original girl who came to talk to us, was only able to take our drinks and she told us that another server would come back to get our actual food order. The mocha oaxaqueño was actually pretty good. The actual food I got was all right. To be honest it's a little strange when you go to a restaurant and the coffee is better than the actual plate. I got the chilaquiles, normally when you get this plate anywhere else, everything is kind of mixed together, which gives everything a good flavor. In this case the eggs were separated from the chorizo, which was also kind of separated from the actual chilaquiles. Since they were all separated, you couldn't really taste the flavor on the eggs or the chorizo of the Chilaquiles. Therefore, I was not a fan of the dish. I will say that while we were there, no one came to check on us or ask us if we liked our food or if we needed anything. The place inside is very loud and packed. Anyways, it was a little strange to eat somewhere where the server hardly talks to you in a restaurant that is kind of empty. I'm not really sure that the food was good enough for me to come back. But the coffee was definitely good. This would be something I would probably buy for a takeout.

The flavor of the curry sauce was addictive. It wasn't spicy, just super flavorful. I ate way more than I I could handle, but that's because it was so insanely good. The vegetables were all cooked properly, to a soft comforting chew, and the rice pulled everything together. 11/10 would highly recommend! It was late, i guess 45 min before closing. Looking at the menu it all looked great, creative etc. i asked the server shot the food and he said oh everything is made from scratch., etc. we're got two bowls, the dragon bowl and the roast beef bowl to go. We got them home and opened them up. The roast beef bowl was described as being served over a bed of home made mashed potatoes topped with home made gravy and special horseradish sauce. Tasting it, it was a way too salty and the meat was so mushy it blended way too seamlessly with the brown gravy to my taste, ie it was all a mush of sauce over more mushy mashed potato! But i preferred its flavor over the dragon bowl, but definitely did not taste like a home made beef gravy from scratch, it was on the overly thickened by corn starch side, with that fake bouillon taste. Dragon Bowl looks good, topped with crunchy cashews that had slight rancid taste, and fresh green onion. And sadly, the chunks of chicken in it were hard, ie tough, precooked for who-knows-how-long-tasting; old tasting. And the sauce was way too sweet. I was disappointed with the $35 bill. We took the food to go. Once we tasted it at home we basically threw it all in the garbage. What a waste but, yuck. Sorry! Ambiance: The place was empty of patrons, and felt like it was closing now even though they still have 45 min. Our two bowls were ordered were handed to us super fast after ordering, like it took no time to prepare, explaining the poor flavor and quality we experienced, plus look at what others have written about all this premade fast food. I want to give one star, but I'll give 2, in benefit of the doubt they were trying to close early and rushed things vs if it were earlier in evening with more clientele.
