Horrible service! The owner/server always been rude. If you're not a regular, she won't serve you until after her.Regulars even though we sat first. It's always been like that. That's why I haven't came for 6 years. Still, the same old s***. And then...... Our food sat at the counter for 5 min while she was talking to her more important customers. I got up asked the assistant if we can get our food. next, The bun is cold. "They don't toast the top, noone does". Ugh. This was the first time ive eaten here since they started serving French fries. So I guess that tells you how long its been and it will probably be the last time I come back. It was just ok. We came in and there were only 2 couples seated and one person at the bar area. It was 3 pm on a Sunday and all the tables were dirty. We were told to "just sit anywhere". And $55 for 2 mediocre burgers, a basket of French fries and one soda served at a dirty table i wiped myself? I think its overpriced by a lot. Now the French fries were tasty, just the right amount of salt and crunchy too. I think they were very oily from being fried too many times(see photo) My husband got the bacon cheeseburger. And it was good. A basic bacon cheeseburger though the bacon was done quite well , right amount of crunch and a good amount too. Now, I got the stinky breath burger and it WAS a cheeseburger with tons of garlic on it. It had potential. BUT it had tons of BOILED garlic, like they boiled it in a pot of water! It was so flavorless and watery(see photo) It made my burger a watery mess. So what could have been a good burger was pretty gross. Who boils garlic instead of roasting it? My husband's burger came with the homemade chips and I like kettle style chips but these were stale and hard. Not good at all. I was ready to just go home. I've waited awhile to post this because I just kept thinking maybe its not as bad as I thought it was and I'll think more positive over time but actually its gone the other way. To be fair, I should start by saying meat-eaters like this place. But I have to rate it low because you cannot take your plant-based spouse here, or your vegan kid -- which means the meat-eater in the family who loves this place can never choose Mike's for a dining out experience with the fam. I'm not sure if restaurants consider this when refusing to offer fully plant-based items -- that by not expanding to include these, it will mean you lose the business of entire families, or other groups, who have even just one plant-based eater in them. We tried to eat here, but can't. While they have one option for vegetarians, they are just not vegan-friendly at all. I hope this changes... I used to love this place. read more

Friends have recommended this place to us and since we had a free Sunday, we decided to drive out to try it for ourselves. The interior is clean and welcoming. They have booths, tables and counter service. They let us pick our table which we always appreciate. The servers were very friendly and Hailey ended up being our food server. I appreciated that she smiled the whole time as she took our order. Very pleasant and sweet. We ordered three burgers and a basket of fries. Burgers come with cheese and choice of mac salad, potato salad, green salad or house made chips. Krush burger - sautéed sliced mushroom in a Zinfandel glaze Mike burger - their famous burger with all the fixin's Moo-Ben burger - corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut on marbled rye The Mike burger was flavorful, juicy and oh so delicious. They know how to grill a hamburger patty! The fries were nice and hot and their Ranch dressing is delicious, a wonderful dip for the fries. Had dinner this evening at Mike's. We were a little apprehensive because of all the recent negative reviews, but so glad we went regardless. Service was great! Burgers were great! Sides were mixed. I had the Mooben with garlic fries, having seen it on the food network show called "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" (burger episode) a few years back. My husband had the Mike's burger with chips. The mooben was good enough that I would order it again, but truth be told, the pastrami was a bit dry. My husband said the Mike's burger was one of the best burgers he's ever had. The garlic fries were awesome. Totally garlicky and delicious. The chips were really waffle fries and were served lukewarm so not the best today. While our meals may seem costly for being burgers and fries...we felt the value was there because they were so big. We were not able to finish our meals and if we lived in the area we would have taken the rest home and made another meal out of the leftovers. The place was not crowded this evening, but just about every table taken by the time we left. Big screen TVs to watch the games, so the ambiance was typical of a small hometown sports bar. Next time we're in the area and in the mood for a burger we will definitely be back. read more

Not sure what happened with the quality of food here. Came here a year ago and it was delicious. Came back recently and the sandwiches did not taste as advertised, did not taste like they did a year ago, and the cheesecake was NOT fresh. It's sad how many places are going downhill these days. And in such a short amount of time too. Another sad thing is we were here to celebrate a special occasion and this put a damper on the end of our day. We hadn't eaten a real meal the entire day so very disappointed that this was the food we had. Not sure what happened to this place. I've been coming here for years! I went last weekend and the service was absolutely terrible. I took a seat and a lady gave me a menu and I ordered a drink. The waitress took over 10 minutes to come take my order. It wasn't even busy. She was rude from the start and acted like she was annoyed I was there. She brought my food to me and then went behind the bar and turned her back and was talking to the other person working. Neither of them asked me if I wanted another beer or even checked if my food was up to par. That's a whole other story. The burgers are smaller and were really greasy. I had to go over to the counter to pay and the waitress just gave me my bill and didn't say anything. I thought she was maybe having a bad day, but the other lady worked also ignored me and acted weird. Not sure what the attitude is? Maybe you think you're above working at a burger joint? Who knows? We had to wait WAY too long for our beers (15 minutes) in an almost empty restaurant (5:30pm). Then the food came: at least the wait staff was nice when I sent back the burnt sweet potato fries. They should never have arrived at my table like that!! Where is the manager???!!! But I was hungry and didn't want to wait for them to redo my Krush burger which came with only mushrooms instead of the amazing mixture of onions, garlic and mushrooms soaked in Zinfandel. I have been so looking forward to returning to Mike's and told my date about this amazing burger. Then I got something completely different and burnt fries!!! I did not see the presence of the man who was present at all previous visits (a few years back). He always greeted everyone and checked on tables and looked at every plate before it headed to the tables. Ok so the food alone gets five stars. Very good, well seasoned and cooked. The milkshakes were made with real ice cream and they were THICK like the best milkshakes are. I also tried their un house made cookies and cream cheesecake which I would highly recommend, it was delish! The reason for the two stars taken away is purely the service. I just want to start off with, this place has great burgers. Our family has been going to Mikes for years. Today after church we drove to cotati for lunch, bc its my husbands favorite spot. My daughter and i ordered the Crush burger, the sauce on the burger is outstanding, our burger came & it was wrong, so we let Allison know the sauce wasn't on it. She walked away, came back and said the cook said he didn't make. Allison came back 5 minutes later with mushrooms & said to me "hes making yours" it was wrong again, my burger was cold by then. She was extremely RUDE. She said "if you eat your burger, you have to pay" we immediately handed they plates back. We did not eat it. Mind you its an 18 dollar burger. She never once came back to our table, we had to go to the counter to order our drinks. Time to pay, she didn't take the burger off our bill. We had her call the owner, and owner told her to take the burger off our bill. Allison was so rude to my husband, she tossed the bill at my husband, he tried handing his card, as Allison walked off, she said "I have a job to do" my husband goes to Mikes often, he knows the owner well. Off the hook - truly, great meat-cheese-bun ratio...beef was super juicy and the produce was crisp and fresh. The burger was really tasty, the fries...the thicker cut was nice, the crisp put on these babies was truly incredible - I ate more than I should.
