Very pleasant dining experience and the woman who served us was amazing! Food is super clean and I don't feel gross. I appreciate healthy and clean ingredients. Keep it up!!

A wonderful eatery, full of heart. The lady boss pours her heart into the restaurant to honor her late husband, whom I was told was well-loved and missed by his employees. When we went, they were doing the murals themselves to honor him. I can't wait to see how the murals turn out - what a great place to treat their employees like family. First time here, and my husband says, "I wish we lived closer. We would come here all the time!" We loved the food, the service, the ambiance. Everything is touched with love. The Pibil Cochinita is out of this world!

We were in town for parents' weekend and all wanted a good burger. We ended up at Azalo to try out their burgers. Amazing We definitely will be back to try some of the other items on the menu.

Family owned restaurant with indoor or outdoor covered patio seating. They have a bar inside and a TV above the bar. Came here with my husband for dinner. He ordered the case of quesabirria tacos and I ordered the steak and pork plate. Plate looked promising with a piece of steak, piece of pork chop, side salad, rice, beans and French fries. I added avocado to the dish for $2 more. The pork was tender and cooked well. Steak was too thin and overcooked. Rice was flavorful and the fries were fun. My husband enjoyed his tacos. Overall 3.75.

Cute little place with a super friendly boss. The place is super clean. Food was great but they didn't have calamari and strawberry milkshake and forgotten our churro as the boss lady was busing tables, making drinks and taking orders. We will be back next time.

Friendly staff, lots of options food wise and the food is pretty good. We ordered the fried plantains, pork torta and grilled chicken tacos. For dessert we had the churros and ice cream. Very good food. My grilled chicken was a tad dry but their salsa and limes did the job. Will be back to work our way thru the menu.

Pretty good I'd say. Service is friendly, helpful with any questions, water refills infrequent especially after food pops. Nifty micheladas though. I had gotten the mushroom quesadilla, and we got the plantains to share. The others ordered skewers themselves. The quesadilla was good though I probably wanted it a bit crunchier. The tortilla itself was quite tasty tho. For compatriots, the skewers worked well tho the chicken was a bit dry, and the veggie kabobs needed some seasoning. They had some nice sauces with kick though. They're dog friendly which helped out a lot and was a good spot for hangout and dinner. We'll stop by again to try other things sometime.

Delectable, authentic cuisine made fresh to order. Lovely owners and staff and, most importantly, killer food. No reason to wait.

Hey guys, it's me again. I'm living the dream. The food is phenomenal. The location is quiet and peaceful. Everything is clean. Customer service is off the charts. I feel so sad that people are going somewhere dumb around the corner like a chain restaurant when they could be having excellent food like this. Support local! Quite frankly the food is fresher here than a chain restaurant. I love this place so much. I hope you can see my first review because that one was better worded I think.

The Burrito with chicken.

My wife and I had a great experience at this small but nice little Mexican restaurant. Our host and server (who I presume is the owner) provided excellent service. This place has quite a bit of outdoor seating, but we ate indoors. The restaurant is sparsely decorated but very clean. The menu is large. I had the Burrito with chicken. The portions are huge! Mine was stuffed with black beans, rice, chopped chicken, and other ingredients. It was delicious. And it was just as good the next day at room temperature in San Francisco International Airport while we waited for our flight. This is a solid choice in the Santa Rosa area. We would be regulars if we lived here.

This is a Cheese Quesadillai had to pay more for Rice and Bean... this is almost a 20$ plate

I love the beans and rice. My kids just recently ate some of their meat dishes... the carne Asada needs some work. I don't believe a cheese quesadilla should ever be priced at 11$ and the fact that I'm a vegetarian I went with it.. Lower your prices on certain menu items that you know you are being crazy with. Your restaurant will last much longer.

The chicken was so flavorful & moist, the plantains were great as expected, & the beans were good too with a surprise piece of potato inside. It also came with a mixed green salad, it was a great value for price compared with the portion. The service was very friendly, I also ordered to the wrong location in Mill Valley but was able to call to cancel the order without charge. I picked up my order from the store/to-go section so I didn't see the restaurant space but just looking at the space I was in, it was so cute. They have some items for sale as well & a cute set up of their beverages. I love the use of colors on the building & space. I'm looking forward to coming back again soon! There are so many other items on the menu I would like to try especially the sandwiches!

Tasty but I expected more…read more This place has never disappointed. I wouldn't even say I was disappointed necessarily when me and my wife went here for breakfast recently, but something just felt like it was missing. I ordered a Huevos Benedictos which is basically Sol Food's version of an Eggs Benedict but it didn't really hit like their Lunch/Dinner side of the menu hits. I think the reason I knew something was off was because I needed the Pique to "make" it taste good when normally I add it to my sandwichs just to enhance the complexity of the flavors. It think it sucks that I just saw the Street Fighter movie recently... Were the costumes on point? Most definitely. Did the characters do their signature moves? Totally. Did I have a good time watching it? Absolutely. But even through all the good, there still was something missing. A plot that was all over the place. Fighting scenes that were mid at best. Characters that looked the part in the movie but were way different from their video game counterparts. I felt this with the Huevos Benedictos. It looked good presentation-wise, but I shouldn't have to use a sauce to make it good. The dish should be able to stand up on its own. Maybe if the Hollandaise had something special to it. Maybe if the beans were cooked in some fun spices. I don't really know what answer would be. I just know that when I order my Bistek sandwich or any other dish on the menu I know if for some weird reason Sol Food was all out of Pique it would be ok, because their food doesn't need it. This particular morning my benny needed it though. If you are on the fence about the Pan Frances you definitely gotta order that. That was surprisingly my favorite meal out of everything we ate.
