In general, I'm not a big fan of Peet's Coffee, but while waiting for my car wash at Splash, I walked about seven minutes over for breakfast. I had a customer service issue years ago and met some rude staff, so I hadn't been back in a long time. Because I haven't been back, I am not very familiar with their menu. There was no one behind me in line, so I was able to take my time, and the staff member helping me was kind and very patient with recommendations. He asked whether I wanted caffeine or not and helped narrow down my choices, which made it much easier to decide. The place was clean. There were quite a few customers, but the line moved smoothly and didn't get backed up at the register. I ordered the strawberry smoothie (a strawberry-banana protein drink) and the cheese sausage sliders. The smoothie was good, but I wish it had more strawberry and banana flavor. it tasted a bit too milky for my preference. The sandwich, however, was really good. I actually enjoyed that a lot. Came in with a group on Tuesday afternoon. We were immediately greeted by an older gentleman who walked up to us to give us handshakes. He was very social. I ordered an iced matcha latte and it was delicious. I also asked for light ice and although he made a joke about having dark ice, I still got less ice as I requested. I appreciated that. While I was waiting for others to get their items, I noticed there was plenty of seating indoors and out. There are two single bathrooms available and the store was clean. I can't say enough great things about the staff at this Peet's location. The managers and baristas have gone out of their way many times for me and miraculously serve amazing coffee with genuine, enthusiastic smiles through the busiest of rush hours. They are what keeps me coming back as I have been for several years. I've been a regular customer at this location and always appreciated the staff and service. Unfortunately, during my last visit, I had a very unpleasant experience. A lady named Karla, who I believe is a manager, was unprofessional -- she was giving attitude to customers and even yelling at her co-worker, which made the atmosphere very uncomfortable. On top of that, when a customer asked for the half-and-half container to be refilled, she handed him the entire gallon of milk, which I believe violates health and safety standards. I usually enjoy coming here, but this experience left me very disappointed. I hope management addresses this, because I would hate to stop coming to a place I've always enjoyed. read more

Visiting for the weekend and heading down to Oakland to the airport...so we stopped to grab a bite on our way out of town. Don't really go to Peet's because I don't run into many, but this one was convenient. Han and Swiss sandwich and egg whit sandwich were great. Much better than other chain coffee that warms food in microwaves. The problem is the coffee was awful. My wife got a specialty drink and I got drip coffee and at the same time, about 10 minutes down the road, we both said it tasted like hot water. No coffee taste. The inside seating area is rather small but cozy and comfortable with lots of natural lighting. Parking can be a bit limited and crowded so I'd recommend coming at off peak times if you can. I've never had a problem with their pick up time window. They have my drinks ready at the time the app says they will be ready for pick up. This Peet's now has an outdoor seating area that is well shaded. COVID Precautions: Staff wears mask and enforces guests to also wear them. I'm in love with the Horchata latte! It's so tasty by itself, nothing needs to added. Peets is the only chain coffee place to have it. I also noticed the chicken chorizo flatbread on the menu and gave it a try. I'm not a hot spicy eater but this had enough kick to it to make it so divine. It also needed nothing added as it was nice and warm. The staff here was so helpful with my app points telling me that I had points that were going to expire so I should use them. I love good service and an earth friendly consciousness. Everything's biodegradable. I forgot my refillable coffee mug this time so I used their paper cup. Excellent in every way. Love their plant-based breakfast sandwiches, it's been a vegan breakfast game changer! Their vegan brownie is also delicious. I actually had to call to make sure it was vegan after I tried it! I left a 4-star for the company because I'm waiting for them to take the next step in sustainability and switch to compostable tape, packaging, and cups. I'd love for there to be a next level eco-conscious switch as they continue to produce an incredible amount of food and beverages here in the Bay Area. The Cotati location has local chickens who come to visit and make eating outside a cute experience. I'll admit I had low expectations, as I have never been a big fan of Jab Holdings or their multitude of sub-par pet groups, but I was immediately taken aback by the quality of the staff at this particular location. Miss Banana was working at the cash register and she welcomed me with a big smile that seemed to say "let me open your eyes to the culinary world of brewing excellence." And that's just what she did. This was my first time going to peets. I figured I couldn't go wrong with something from their seasonal menu. I got the pumpkin cold brew oat latte with jelly. HUGE MISTAKE! It was honestly the worst drink I've ever had in my life. I tried drinking it, it felt like I was sipping on chemicals and alcohol. I love having a Peet's so close to my home. Although I only visit here a few times a month (sometimes more often) I have received superior customer service on each occasion. All of the baristas are super friendly and welcoming, the shop appears clean on each visit and their coffee beans are the best one can buy from a franchise. Recently, I purchased several gift certificates (everyone loves getting a Peet's gift certificate!) and I was given a pass for a complimentary coffee drink for each $25 I spent- now that is a nice perk (pun intended)! Have been a Peetnik for a while (and actually a Duke of one of their stores). Have a couple of drinks I like from this brand. It was, however, the first time I stopped by this particular location. The employee was nice and courteous. I ordered one of my favorite drinks - golden cappuccino. It didn't come out the way I normally get from their other store in Petaluma. Not as strong as it should be and the presentation was a bit sloppy. Maybe, it was just a one time hiccup. Besides the drink though, I was more disappointed by the sitting area. Unlike the other stores in the Sonoma county, this one was small and a bit disorganized. The parking area was also not as spacious as their other stores'. The parking spaces were striped too closed. If you have a new driver in the house (a new car, or you have a big truck) I would look for another store. read more
