If coffee-preparing employee is too thick to process the cashier's hazing -- "Make that Iced Latte extra hot!" -- then either the hazer or the hazee needs re-training. I love having a Peet's so close to my home. Although I only visit here a few times a month (sometimes more often) I have received superior customer service on each occasion. All of the baristas are super friendly and welcoming, the shop appears clean on each visit and their coffee beans are the best one can buy from a franchise. Recently, I purchased several gift certificates (everyone loves getting a Peet's gift certificate!) and I was given a pass for a complimentary coffee drink for each $25 I spent- now that is a nice perk (pun intended)! As it was near the end of the day, I was also offered to take home one of their food items as they do not want them to go to waste- I chose a salad which made a yummy lunch the next day! The small & awkward parking lot is the only challenge- yet as I am close I can walk here. read more

I haven't been coming here for very long , and I usually go to Mendocino ave location which I recommend much more than this location . They aren't on top of there mobile orders, and when I asked the status the barista was very rude, and had a terrible attitude. So I went into this Peet's Coffee on a Saturday around 11 a.m. This place was not very busy at all for a coffee shop on a weekend morning. I ordered a medium iced vanilla latte and a small hot cocoa. Not that hard of an order. It took probably 20 mins to receive my order. I was given a small hot vanilla latte and a small hot cocoa. I told her I that thats not what I ordered. She insisted that "that's what came up" on her screen. So she never offered to make me a new one or simply make it ICED and a medium. Oh, Peet's coffee, where have you been all my life? Yeah, who am I kidding? I've been drinking Peet's for years & this is my 12th Peet's location Yelped because... I love Peet's coffee! I stopped by this Peet's before hitting the gym for a tall cup of delicious caffeinated motivation. The parking lot for this Peet's is a little awkward & a little confusing. There's a parking space right in front reserved for low emission/ high efficiency vehicles, which is great... But, that designation is only painted on the ground & I couldn't make out what it said while I was looking for a place to park. I drive an EV, which is ultra-high efficiency & no emissions, so I could've parked there had I known. A sign would be helpful. No big deal, it's a small parking lot, any space is not far. Service was friendly with a smile & my Red Eye (coffee + espresso shot) was whipped up pretty quick. For a concoction so brutally strong, it sure was supremely smooth. Which is why I love Peet's coffee. Strongly caffeinated, strong flavor, but oh so smooth, the perfect boost to crush a workout. Oh yeah, I do love me some Peet's coffee. read more

Get a "WET CAPPUCCINO'' from Peet's Coffee, it's a smoother version of cappuccino with less foam/air and only Peet's employees know what the difference between a dry vs. wet cappuccino. Starbucks has NO IDEA what it is, they do not have the same training. Peet's do not rush you and actually knows coffee. You can feel the difference in how they treat customers. Went in hoping to get a caramel macchiato today. A gentlemen ahead of me was asking the cashier, Laurel, questions about the coffee beans. I understand you want to provide personalized customer service, but Laurel could have made the process go a little faster. She kept engaging the customer into more conversation, which of course prompted the guy to talk even more. And back and forth they went until the barista went through 4 drink orders before the guy finally made his choice! The barista had no orders on hand to fulfill by then, and Laurel still had to package the beans for the guy. Meanwhile, the line grew to two more people. I was next in line, but decided to get my latte and give my tip to the small, independent coffeehouse nearby. I won't be coming to Peet's for a while, certainly not in this location now that I discovered a better coffeehouse, better customer service with a better drink. This is one of the best Peet's in the North Bay and trust me, I've been to a lot of them. The staff there are consistent in their beverage preparation regardless of who is making it. Extremely slow location. Was only 5 ppl in line and they have a staff of 4... took me 12 minutes to get my espresso. Then i found a hair in my whip cream. Im the type that after i wait forever... i just wanna get out of there... i ended up dumping my espresso, and just went elsewhere. Really poor slow. Ive seen a staff of 3 at a coffee bean handle 20 person line. 3-4 min time per customer to get coffee... they need to have specific duties per person vs everyone running around all disorganized. read more

This Peets is so fun. There are chickens hanging out from nearby property but that gives it Cotati-esque charm. The drinks are always ready quickly. The staff is friendly. As we pulled up we heard...then saw...nay, encountered a wild cacophony of 10 urban chickens descending upon Peet's Coffee, including 4 large roosters strutting down the sidewalk...It was Hensane! Those chickens must have been going through caffeine withdrawals.... I was told by a local that it was "their turf" and they hang here all the time!! They have good hours when you are out early they open at 5. Service is always speedy and efficient even when they are busy and have a line. I love this Peet's, and have already made fond memories here. If you sit in the sinkable cushions of the seats facing the windows that look Northwest, you get a lovely full view of the sky. I still remember the wispy white clouds that day. The coffee's excellent, the atmosphere is great. Staff's friendly, odds and ends for sale are a good selection that I always stop to check out. Only downsides are that they're in an odd location, and they have NO DRIVETHROUGH. So sad! I only ever pass by on my way to or from home, great times to get a drink, but I never want (or have time) to park, go in, order drink, wait for drink, go out, start up the car, and get back on my way. Aww. Though, if there *was* a drive-through, I'd be hopped up on caffeine and sugar all the time! Perhaps it's for the best. =) read more

The only reason I am giving it two stars was because the service was decent. The workers seemed friendly however there is no clear area of where the lines start, so I had two people served before me that showed up after me. If you are used to Starbucks coffee like I am, this coffee was terrible! I ordered a Vanilla soy latte. Sometimes I'm not the biggest fan of Starbucks because their drinks are too sweet but this latte was just plain, tasted more soy than I did coffee or vanilla. I love our local Peet's but in the last 6 months or so the service is increasingly slow. Mobile orders come out 10-20 minutes AFTER the last listed time on the time frame . It doesn't seem to matter if we come during high impact time or quiet time. Service is super slow. Because they are local we like to use them but I'm getting weary of the wait times. Why I love fall: Peets' pumpkin and maple lattes. I am definately a regular here and I always get great service. Usually I go for regular coffee (which is great) but it being fall, I have to get a yummy pumpkin latte. I also had to get a pumpkin pie bar, which is not a great breakfast choice, but irresistably delicious. I will choose Peet's any day over Starbucks! This coffee is fantastic! I love this location too, it has been open for almost a year now. It is very green friendly and all solar as well. What is even nice about Peet's is it is a local company (based out of Berkeley). Only thing I wish they had was a drive through... but then again I may go everyday! HAHA Check out their pastries too! The crew here is jovial, the coffee fresh and full bodied but...yeah there's a but...the pastry can get a little rubbery when it's say there for four days (or longer)...I watched it and even then I still purchased some kind of fruit tart...or replacement for chewing gum as it took some concentrated chewing and a good couple of minutes to get down. read more

this place is the worst. the bathrooms smell like urine. in fact urine is seen on the floor next to the toilets instead of in the toilets.

I went here the day this location opened and was very impressed with how quick the service was, especially for grand opening day. Granted I did not end up there until about 9am, and my husband said on his way to work there was a line out the door, but obviously they got it cleared up before I was in there. There's plenty of seating indoors and out, and the staff they picked to start out with are very friendly. The next time I went I...had a little problem. I think it was a little weird they asked me what type of milk I wanted in my Mocha. I would prefer you just let people tell you if they want something other than whatever your default is, because I got VERY confused. I will be frequenting this location regularly, and if they ask me again at least now I know to say Whole Milk :) read more
