What a quaint French bakery in Glen Ellen! I was excited to finally try this place after driving by it for years. The building cannot be missed with the yellow exterior. It already exudes happiness. Then you walk in and can find specialty pastries, cookies and breads. Yes please!  We enjoyed a fruit tart with apples, almond croissant and a strawberry shortcake dessert. All were so delicious!  They have plenty of seating inside as well as a cute patio with outdoor seating too.

Authentic French patisserie in a cute café setting. We had breakfast goods (pain au chocolat and a fruit friande). She also has mini fondants, brioches, and other pastries. For lunch, there are quiches, sandwiches, and baguettes. The proprietor is a busy bee, taking orders, making espresso drinks, and ringing it all up in a whirlwind mix of English and French. Bon appetite! PS Need a fast hostess gift for someone? She has a small but well-curated assortment of olive oil, honey, jams, hand creams, aprons, etc.

What a charming cafe! We went to Les Pascals on a Saturday for a late lunch on an overcast day, and found it to be cozy and busy! We got the quiche Lorraine (delicious!) and the croque madame (to die for! The texture and flavor are amazing). My cappuccino was wonderful as well. The food was wonderful and we found the cafe to be perfect for a quick bite for lunch.

How is it that I've been frequenting this cafe for so many years without submitting a review?! We typically come here after a hike or bike ride- today was a hike nearby. Of course we were famished. It is difficult to choose what to order with all the delectable menu items. My friend had their onion soup & some mushroom bread thing she loved. She also enjoyed the fancy lemon tart. I had the veggie quiche- always so creamy & delicious. I ordered a chai latte for the first time- very good. And I brought home a chocolate meringue for later. It is such a cheerful place to be- the decor is charming and the owners are so sweet. Please keep speaking in French!

May 2024 Review - Started on a street in Sonoma and entered this beautiful Parisian patteserie The raspberry chocolat brioche, kouign amman, chocolat croissant, ham & cheese croissant, tartine Enjoyed a similar selection on day2 as well :) When in Glen Allen or wine country - this patisserie is a must visit

This French patissiere is absolutely delicious! Loved: The cheese and spinach quiche - freshly baked and understated with a cushy egg Mushroom bread - fresh mushrooms and bread Almond croissant - crispy and not too sweet! Hazelnut coffee - with chunks of hazelnut There is always a line because orders are taken and filled by one person before moving on the next person. This is a true French run bakery and the owners speak French. Would come back again to support local business :)

The chocolate croissant was flaky and decadent, and the mushroom spinach Pizzas a La Française.

Breakfast date. Pascals' charming French pâtisserie, in the heart of Glen Ellen, offers a nice selection of pastries and savory delights. We were enchanted by the cozy atmosphere and quaint patio --perfect for a leisurely breakfast or afternoon pick-me-up. The espresso was rich and bold, the chocolate croissant was flaky and decadent, and the mushroom spinach Pizzas a La Française - was a delightful twist on a classic French dish that was both savory and satisfying. Pascals is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a taste of Parisian charm. Service: Not exactly welcoming--but we did get fast service.

Les Pascals is 1 of a handful (like 3 Maybe) of coffee establishment in Glen Ellen. But she does not disappoint at all. Owned by a Parisian couple (Pascale and Pascal) who moved to the town in 2018, this patisserie offers authentic, fresh pastries, sandwiches, and desserts as well as coffee and European style morning drinks. We were in the town for 3 days and went here every morning! They have an adorable indoor and outdoor sitting space, with many tables and a large parking lot. Pascal (the missus) was there on our first visit and was incredibly friendly, providing recommendations of the best things to try (everything ) and gave suggestions for activities for the duration of our stay. The cafe is dog friendly and we encountered many locals and visitors each of the mornings we dropped in.

Cute cafe with delicious food. Staff speaks French and English but there's definitely the vibe of a French cafe.

What a charming French restaurant in the heart of Glen Ellen! The woman working the front is the sweetest French woman, you can tell the passion she has for this business. A must stop through in wine country.

Been here a few times and surprised that I haven't written a review yet. It's definitely changed since we first came here like their almond croissants. They were bigger about 4-5 years ago. Now they're about 25-50% smaller depending on when I've gone. One of my favorite almond croissants in the area, great almond filling. The ganache buche de Noel is a great decadent dessert. Their tarts are delicious as well and the croque madame is rich and savory. Their ham and cheese croissant tastes more similar to a croque madame since they have the béchamel inside. I enjoy their cappuccino as well and the rustic baguette is nice although I've had better. Service is always great, the lady that runs the shop is always very nice and chipper. Great spot to go to after a hike at Jack London.

Stopped by here for a quick coffee and sandwiches on a Sunday morning. The only thing was a bit disappointing was the line, which wasn't too long but was quite slow. The staff was super friendly and nice, the coffee was good and the sandwiches were simple but yummy.

Do you have any cruelty free milk?

Is anything dairy-free or vegan? Thanks!

I didn't find anything, though I'm gluten free as well, so there might have been a bread or sandwich that was dairy-free. My husband indulged in delicious pastries, and I had apple juice. :-)

    How much are the pastries?

Is this place open during Shelter in place?

Yep! See website link from the Yelp page. I was just there and they even have outdoor seating and the bathroom is available to use.

The restaurant looks small at the front but opens up to a large, cute patio in the back. The patio is covered but feels bright and open, and with the recent cold weather, they had plenty space heaters around. My boyfriend ordered the Wagyu steak and eggs, and I ordered the biscuit sandwich. My boyfriend's steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, and he loved the crispy, rustic sourdough bread and potatoes on the side. The biscuit was large and fluffy, but was a little too soft for my liking; I also added bacon to the sandwich but it felt a little skimpy and the bacon was excessively fatty / chewy. This wasn't my favorite breakfast, but I also think I made the wrong choice for myself. My boyfriend's meal and all the other food around us looked delicious, and the ambiance was great, so I think this place is still 4 stars worthy!

While working in St. Helena, I could never find an opening in a reservation, so here was a great opportunity now that all of us are retired. Our friends live in Clear Lake while we live in Vallejo, so this is a central place to meet. It was the best decision I made because every year for the past several anniversaries, we've gone to Cache Creek to C2. Their food and service is excellent because my husband enjoys poker, but I thought a change of scenery would be nice. And it was! Firstly, it was very kind of the staff to present us with a greeting card signed by everyone -- how sweet and thoughtful! We will cherish that! Secondly, we were very impressed with how the food/wine was locally sourced. It was incredible to hear the story about Custom, the Bull, and taste the difference between the Highland beef compared to Angus. Our waitress was "Erica S." She was engaging, personable, and very informative. My husband and I would definitely like to return to return to experience the dinner menu! We and our guests had the following dishes: Artichoke appetizer Arbororio Biscuits & Gravy Two Cheeseburgers Three Bloody Mary's Farmstead Margarita When they found out it was our anniversary celebration, the house sent over four glasses of complimentary champagne and a dish of dessert -- again, very sweet and kind of them I now understand why so many crowds flock to this restaurant! It's well worth the wait! If you have not experienced a meal there, you must definitely go now!

From the beginning, there seemed to be constant miscommunication between staff. We specifically booked an outdoor reservation and were seated inside instead. While mistakes happen, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The bigger issue involved the wine and corkage fee. We purchased a bottle directly from the market associated with the restaurant and were told by the employee there that the corkage fee would be waived if we bought their wine. When we sat down, our server Sara told us that was not true and that we would still have to pay the fee. I explained what we had been told, and when she asked if I wanted a manager involved, I said yes. Before the manager even arrived or clarified the situation, the server opened our bottle of wine. In the silence and confusion, I reasonably assumed the fee issue had been resolved. Then the manager came over and told us we would still be charged and implied that nobody at the market would have told us otherwise. The way it was handled made my husband and I feel like we were being accused of making the whole thing up, which was especially upsetting on Mother's Day. At that point, the bottle was already opened, so we were essentially stuck paying the fee regardless. Between being seated incorrectly, the poor communication between employees, and how dismissive the situation felt, the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special meal. The rest of the service we felt ignored and there was minimal effort to accommodate. Great food alone is not enough to justify returning when the hospitality experience feels this frustrating and unprofessional.
