Honestly i think this place is very mediocre, but then again i may be biased because i can make these from scratch. The pricing is a bit expensive for a bao, turned out to be like $5 bucks each? But there isnt much competition in the bao space so if you're desperate this may have to do. The popcorn chicken was good, I did the 3 bao sampler and one of them was pretty good. Its been a while since i ate it and i cant remember, so it wasnt good enough to remember. This place is a bit small so the seating may be difficult if you have a big group. Also b/c you order at the front, that area also gets cramped so you're kinda cramped all around. The food portions are massive - the buns are a lot larger than normal buns and so were the rice dishes. I recommend sharing one rice dish or just 2 buns b/t 2 people. The food was decent... but it wasn't amazing either. The tea was not strong enough. I would come back when it's not the lunch rush so that it's a bit more comfortable to sit and enjoy the food / or get it to go. read more

I came in here for a quick snack while I was finishing up some grocery shopping in the area and found it to be a cute restaurant but over priced. I ended up ordered the Char- Siu Chicken Bao which ended up falling apart and I basically just ate the chicken and bread separately. I also ordered the Tiger Fries which ended up being a lot larger than expected. The fries were great in comparison and were very filling. I found that the amount of sauce on the fries made them a little soggy but that is a personal preference. The sweeter sauce was a little over powering as well but you can ask them to tone it down without an issue. The kalbi beef was well cooked and was not over powering. At this time, I ordered a Class Milk Tea with regular sugar and less ice. This is by far one of the best classic milk tea's I've had! Since my first time coming here, I have come back regularly for the milk tea which is also priced pretty fairly. Overall, the staff is pretty inattentive and the food is overly priced but the milk tea and location are great! read more

Overall the selection is a little weak and some items on the menu are meh but I see potential in this little store. I had pork belly rice in my hometown (626 Cali) a few days back and should've just left it at that. The rice is dry and pork belly wasn't fatty enough. The lean part of the pork belly was dry too and the egg they gave was a fried egg - we all know it should be tea marinated boiled eggs - "lu dang" :( Also ordered their boba milk tea and honey green tea. We visited on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 7 people, and with the small seating area, we had to rearrange the tables in order to fit us fairly comfortable. Great location, easy parking and this strip mall is also home to Swish Swish, so enough options that driving here wouldn't be a water of time and one can stop by the Asian grocery store too. Small place, at 8pm not busy so plenty of seats. Corner unit with wrap around winds gives a spacious feel to this hipster vibe. I really like the simple approach, easy menu, order at counter and served yourself lemon water. The host was nice and hospitable. Tonight main dish is traditional pork belly bao and a side of five-spice popcorn chicken. The bao is a good portion. The pork belly is tender and flavorful with Asian pickle and peanut crumbs gives, with the bao, a airy-crunchy-meaty and finish with a hint of sweetness from the pickles. For $6 this filled my belly! :) The popcorn chicken is okay, I wish it was a little crunchier and more spice. But to be honest, I haven't had a really good popcorn chicken from any Asian restaurants yet. Maybe I'm bias towards my American side. For a place that looks deceivingly like a hole in the wall, Tiger Bites is what it is. A little Taiwanese shop in a pretty cultured location, Tiger Bites is intriguing, but doesn't live up to its creative name. The inside is quant and cafe styled. They serve pretty good sized baos, filling rice bowls, and standard bubble tea. My family really like that 1 bao can be a nice dinner with their fries, which is an odd combination. Their reasonably priced and looked pretty tasty as the bao bun looked well intact, yet fluffy. I had the traditional pork belly rice bowl. It came with 3 different sides that rotate per day. The bean sprouts are just roughage, way too sour pickled cucumbers, a very strong Chinese radish chopped and tasted the consistency of kimchi, unappetizing hard boiled eggs, and very oily and greasy, but probably the most flavorful side of cabbage. The pork belly was superb. The fat melts in your mouth, and the meat was a bit chewy, but still great. 3 pieces was definitely not enough. The pork was well seasoned complimented by the white rice. Garnished with nori and useless parsley that wanted to take away the beautiful pork belly flavor. Tiger Bites is a gear place for some Taiwanese food, or maybe just the bubble tea. Baos are probably the best way to go here for. They are way better valued than the rice bowls. Except, the overall enjoyment lacked and the value just wasn't up to par, or near the bench. read more

We also had the fried cuttlefish ball that was dry. It needed a sauce, maybe like a curry sauce or something. A great new find! Had a Meetup lunch today at IHOP and just happened to see this new place in this plaza. They opened earlier this year and the pictures in the window caught my attention walking by. So had to go back and check them out tonight. What a pleasant surprise! I ended up ordering their Crispy Cod bowl along with a lemon honey green tea (offered at a discount tonight with my meal!) and was served a big bowl of food that was both visually appealing and absolutely delicious. The small cod bites were crispy and tasty - there was such a large serving, I ended up having to ask for a box to take home for later. My friend ordered the Kalbi Beef bowl and was also impressed with the food and the portion! Really great value for the money and will definitely be going back again soon to try more dishes. Brought my best friend to this place for the first time. We ordered the traditional bun, Korean bun, fries, and tofu. My friend loved the Korean bun, but I was not too impressed with the traditional one. Maybe it's just me not used to the buns that they are serving. However, the tofu and the fries were THE BOMB. There was meat in the fries which was super interesting and tastes unexpectedly amazing. The tofu was awesome as well. We also had the black tea and green tea creama, and they are both pretty decent and true to the ones we have back home. The only complaint to this place is that it's waaaay too small.
