Make sure that they're going to have what you want available on the day that you're planning on going if you don't want to be disappointed. As for me, I'll probably check out an alternative to Sham - a restaurant that keeps better track of their staple ingredients (like LAMB), so that they don't disappoint their patrons. As a final note, the shawarma was good, their appetizers were good and everything that we ate was tasty. If Sham was the only Middle Eastern restaurant in Worcester and I had a hankering for such a cousin, I wouldn't hesitate to go there. Even though the owner did politely suspect that it might've been from some tree sap (that I did come in with) that he thought maybe actually etched into the clearcoat paint, still, he had the entire hood redone without charging me, just to be sure and so he took the position assuming that the customer might be right. Well, in the end I was wrong - and still this guy had the highest level of integrity I've run into in a long time (in any business). I am definitely always taking my car back and recommending this place. It's not often that you find extremely high-quality work combined with very great customer service and integrity.

OMG! So the fat lady with gray hair - Rosie O'Donnell/Jeannette? who pretends to be the owner of the Theatre Cafe is so rude. She can't even accept an honest review. Whenever anyone writes something she "doesn't like" she looses her mind and goes on the attack. She actually cried to YELP about an honest review. She is also so paranoid she cannot even get my name correct. It's fun to sit outside and watch them violate so many codes. ie: no gloves, smoking, drinking, no masks, no hairnets, allowing DOGS that are not service animals into the cafe. Yep, we are all doing recon on this "hole in the wall" so those of you who rarely go there know the TRUTH about this dirty, and also COCKROACH infested dive. Just LOOK AT THE PICTURES THEY POSTED - look up at the WATER STAINED DIRTY CEILING - yes, above where they cook! ICK She (Rosie O'Donnell's twin) was gone for a while and the Cafe was so enjoyable - then suddenly she was back! YIKES! And it all went back to the NEGATIVE DIRTY place that it is. And yes we have seen you buying day old meat and wilted lettuce - or maybe the meat was about to expire IDK - but I do know it was CHEAP and you got it at the Latino market down the street from Theatre cafe. AND she sells DAY OLD CHICKEN POT PIES to people - be careful if you order from this place. WoostaFoodies have discovered that she and Bill routinely engage in arguments with each other and CUSTOMERS! One of them even had a fist fight with Bill out front of the Cafe with everyone watching. These people are so fake they are beyond real. So sad they are able to fool so many people, but I guess when you only see a customer ONCE it's easy to fool them. ALSO - WF discovered that Theatre Cafe doesn't follow the City of Worcester regulations and has NO BUSINESS CERTIFICATE!!!! Call and ask or go online - it's easy. Like we said, theses people are so FAKE. City of Worcester Clerks Office Business Certificate - NOT EVEN IN THEIR NAME and EXPIRED!! Secretary of the Commonwealth - had them as an LLC, spelled differently - and the manager is none other than YOLANDA VILLAMIL from Alpha Travel - also expired. In town visiting friends and they recommended Theatre Cafe for dinner (be mindful it's by reservation only) and I don't even know where to start! This place, as the owner clearly put it "is a hole in the wall". The place is tiny and cozy and holds only 20 seats and we were very lucky to get in as they just had a cancellation. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food: started off with the Chef's Amuse Bouche which was a turkey croquette that I would have gladly ate a whole plate full. Sooo good! Followed by an apps and salads. Everything was fresh and prepared in front of us. The house-made dressing needs to be bottled. My dining companion had the salmon and I enjoyed the petite filet. Cooked perfectly to temp. As well as being able to cut with a fork. She said her salmon was one of the best she's ever had. Then we chose one house-made dessert to split (the owner insured us it was big enough to split and it was just the perfect amount to round out our evening. The total bill for 2 was $90 which we both thought was incredible for all we got (2 salads, one app, 2 dinners and 1 dessert) keep in mind that they are BYOB which helps keep the bill down. If I could give more stars I would. Food spot on. Service spot on. Owners spot on. Run don't walk to give them a try!! read more

Stopped in there the other day and was so glad I found this place. First, they are the only restaurant open past 2pm on any given day. The decor was fresh and quaint. The owners were a very nice couple who go out of their way to make us feel welcomed. We ordered the special of the day which was baked stuffed sole which came with rice and a veg. the price was excellent as was the fish. I wish I had known they were a BYOB establishment.....there is always next time! I said they are open till 6pm during the week and they stay open till curtain call for all Hanover Theatre Shows. Make reservations for those though as we tried to get in before the show and they were a full house! I highly recommend this cafe for a nice quiet cup of coffee and internet or a before the show dinner. read more

We have been there 3 times in two weeks. Tried breakfast, lunch and the date night menu ( Wednesday) for December. I cannot believe this place has been in existence for 11 years. It is by far one of the BEST restaurants in the city. I am excited to see their new Center Stage Bistro which will be opening in the Spring! Bill and Jeanette (owners) along with chefs Karen and Jason have a hidden gem right in the heart of Worcester. Every Wednesday night Bill and Jeanette advertise a Datenight menu. It is an addition to the regular menu. It is a 5 course meal ( changes monthly) for $59. Fine dining at its Best! Below are some pictures from our experience. The food here was phenomenal! I had The Hamlet; which was a ham and cheese sandwich made to it's penultimate potential with sliced green apples and mango chutney on toasted herb bread. Thanks to Bill and this sandwich, my new favorite snack is apples and mango chutney. Then we took a kids sized (plenty big) scoop of Deer Tracks Espresso ice cream to go. This cafe is small but makes a huge impression. It came highly recommended by those we spoke to in Worcester and after eating there I can see why. read more
